I'm a fan of Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, Blackfoot, etc. and would like to play their stuff. However, I really don't like the body shape of Les Pauls. I prefer Fender or offset body shapes. What would be good for me? Thanks.

I absolutely love this song and I would love to be able to play it, but I have no idea how to learn it. Would anyone be willing to help me or give me some pointers?
I’m curious about the history of the harmonic minor second in popular use. To my frame of reference, korn were the first people to use this in a mainstream rock context. I could imagine perhaps they just noticed it was the ugliest double stop they could come up with and started dropping them liberally, but it seems more likely they heard it somewhere. I’d assume it came from a prog tradition but this is just me guessing. Can anyone point me to early adopters of the nastiest western interval?
Hi there!
Nice solo by Jim Hall over a minor blues accompanied by Red Mitchell. This solo is full of great phrases for any blues. I have been listening to this fantastic CD that they have together live for several days and I think I will transcribe some just more. I reupload this transcription because it had some mistakes. I am always working to give you the best.
I am looking at getting my first guitar and a local shop near me has an RS502T in the denim finish for $600. After researching online, I found that the RSS02T just seems like a newer model with the major differences being the stainless steel frets and the chambered body? Is that, plus the fact that it would be new vs used worth the extra $250?

I know this song but I dont know the name please help me find the name
After a couple of years of the classical guitar I decided to buy an electric. Don't want to bother my family when I play so I'm planning on just playing through headphones. I have a focusrite scarlette solo at home. Do I need to buy pedals and stuff for effects or can I just download something on the computer to make that effect? If I can, what's the best software for this?
Hello. So say that you only have 2 guitars and they both have floyd so it’s a pain to retune. Playing mainly metal and rock, it’s smart to have one in “normal” tuning and one in down tuning. If most songs that you play are in Eb/Estandard and drop C#, but there’s one or two random songs that you like to play and they’re in D standard and drop C, is there any downside to just tuning the guitars to drop C and D standard for those 2 songs and using a capo for all of the others?
Apologies I think I worded this very poorly but my question is if using capo almost all the time has any downsides
im new to guitar and this is just a minor issue so Im just posting this in case someone has any ideas about whats causing it, got my first guitar a couple weeks ago (acoustic) and it sounds and feels pretty good but I've always been hearing a sort of small rattle or broken glass shaking + high pitched sound from around the saddle or bridge just when playing the b string, happens only when I strum hard, or JUST when I fret b string on 1st fret,
had the strings changed and its still there
So I been noodling around with a chord progression and can’t find the resolving chord. Can anyone help me find what it is or tell me how I would go about finding them in the future. The chord progression is Am Dm F E7. What resolves the E7? It’s driving me crazy!!! 😆
i am a metalhead, and i have been craving to play guitar about a year (couldnt learn it cause of academic).... i do aspire to learn it (i can name 50+ guitarist)
question here now.. is it better to pick acoustic guitar first cause they're cheap or 200 usd beginner eletric guitar
I managed to nab myself a super cheap ashton strat on marketplace. everything seems to work fine it's just a bit rusty and grimey. I'm fairly new to guitars, this is my second one and I've been playing since october so I'm just asking what should my first steps be in cleaning it up and messing around with it a little bit.
I’m not about to say Jimi Hendrix isn’t that good or anything. He is an incredible guitarist and I can’t imagine anyone better than him. However, I feel like there are quite a few other guitarists who skill wise match him, so why is Jimi Hendrix in particular considered the best? Sometimes I hear that he was an innovator with the guitar, but what did he innovate? I’m not being facetious either, I’m legitimately curious.
Alright I’ve been a guitar player for a while and I’ve never posted anything myself. However I do follow some guitarists and it seems like there so much hate in comments for any guitar players on social media. Like 90% of the comments are saying “overrated” or “I could do that”. I guess I’m just wondering what exactly it is about guitar that brings out this kind of attitude, and if anyone else has had first hand experience with such things.
I realize this title may have came off as hostile, but it's just a regular question and I'm not the best at wording things.
I own a shitty no name acoustic and a shitty no name electric and currently I can't see myself needing more guitars which is why I'm curious :)
So I’ve only played for two years (self taught) and I’m going to perform play with me by extreme and scarified by racer x. I’ve got the speed down and it would be absolutely perfect if it wasn’t for the fact that almost every time I do a string skipping legato sequence my pinky or my index would ring the open string. I’ve tried to play it slowly and I pulled my fingers light enough to not make it ring out the open string which was good but how the hell do I move my index/pinky softly without making the open string ring at both song’s actual speed??😭😭
I found a Classical guitar with a label reading:
Seiwa
Model no: G-500 Japan
with a stamp saying 20820 on the same label.
Its pretty beat up with a weird sound hole hatch. Does anyone have any information on this?
It is very similar to this https://reverb.com/item/64211294-seiwa-g150, its the same label but different model number ofc.
Is it worth anything, any reason for me to buy it?
