Taking train from Chicago to the game Saturday. Unfortunately I have to bring my backpack with my work laptop in it. I know I can’t bring it in but is there any nearby lockers or bag storage available?
This algorithm is trained on AP poll voting data, and after 10,000 machine learning simulations, here are the results of how ND finishes in the AP poll based on the results from the game against Louisville
This is a discussion not a condemnation. I actually don’t have a real problem with NIL. I do think if they take a certain amount in NIL money they should pay the school for the scholarship. My real problem is with the Transfer Portal. It needs some type of regulations. I think they should only be allowed to transfer once at anytime throughout their college carrier. The only exception is if the coach leaves. Example: if a freshman decides to transfer going into their sophomore year then they can’t transfer again, but then the coach leaves their sophomore year so they can transfer going into their junior year. These are my thoughts on a common discussion that we see a lot. I would to see what others think!
How are we -220 against Louisville??? this should be even at best if not in favor of Louisville. Our QB is about as 1 dimensional as it gets. I’ve never felt more sorry for our receiving core.
EDIT: Wanted to clarify for the few butthurt people in the comments, Im a Notre Dame fan and just went to check the lines figuring Id be able to get them at good odds and to my surprise it wasn’t a good line. I will mostly look live to see what I can get.
Do you think players redshirting for the rest of the season (looking to transfer or are offered more money elsewhere) in between games 4 and 5 to preserve another year of eligibility will become the norm? For instance, if a guy is playing well at a lower level school and wants to shut it down to keep at least one or two years of payment in the future. Not saying it’s happening much (if at all) right now, and not trying to suggest any player on our team is doing this, but it does seem like a logical loophole no one thought about until now and will occur in the future.
How do we keep our WR room in check/motivated if they're not getting the ball? (TEs to a lesser extent)
Concerned with Brown being in his first year he may not be able to ease tensions as much as denbrock or golden or McCullough would.
There's no way greathouse and some of these other guys stay around if Leonard keeps ailing in the passing game as he's been doing.
I'm hoping this is a breakout game for him in the passing game, given some of the positive signs from last game.
WR has been as issue for us and concerned it’s only going to get worse going forward.
Hey guys! Making the trip down tomorrow. Was curious how tailgating works there. What lot should I hit for a fun time before the game? As for the stadium food is it all card payment (cashless) ? And from your personal experience what would you rate the stadiums food on a 1-10. Can’t wait, GO IRISH ☘️
So apparently the Hammes bookstore is selling “Authentic” under Armour football jerseys online.
Does anyone know the number trim and shoulder logos the authentic shiny gold? It’s hard to tell in the description photo.
I’d rather not spend the cash to have to return immediately if they don’t have the shiny gold. Would be the only reason for me to get a New Jersey.
Just wondering if anyone has seen them in the actual bookstore and can confirm they’re good or not.. Thank you!
Let's here your more controversial takes on Irish Sports or last week's game. Whether it is true or not this is the place for all of your hot takes. The thread will be set to default sort by controversial. Just keep it spicy Irish fans.
Just thinking back to the 2007 season. I know he had rough start in that Georgia Tech game but if he was given a few more games to show his stuff he could have been a memorable ND QB. He's still one of the most electrifying QB's I've ever seen and I was so pumped to see him show his stuff at the college level. One of those "what could have beens" - just a random thought for the day. Go Irish
Notre Dame basketball led by coach Shrewsberry got a big commitment from 4 star Brady Koehler today! Notre Dame is also in the top 3 for elite 5 star Jalen Haralson! The great news today had me reminiscing about the good old days, would love to hear some of your guy’s favorite memories from these teams
I’ll be traveling up to your historic stadium this Saturday, arriving on a bus about 90 minutes before kickoff. You guys were friendly in-person for last year’s game, so I wanted to ask if there are any traditions I should check out before the game starts this weekend. May the best team win 🤝
Saturday, September 28th Peacock 3:30 PM EST
The group I’m traveling with is half UL fans / half ND fans (a lot of Louisville Catholic folks traveling up this week).
We are planning on getting to campus early morning Saturday (8:30ish), parking at Burke, and seeing all the ND landmarks.
We are looking for a place to settle, tailgate, mingle after lunchtime but I can’t get a vibe for where that best place is.
Ideas? Could bring some nice bourbon for anyone willing to help us out!!
Hello Irish Faithful,
What are your thoughts about the Louisville game? How do you think the Offense will perform? Any standouts on Offense for this game? For Defense do you see any player having a breakout game? How do you think the Defense will perform?
Any other thoughts?
Go Irish!
Saw this earlier today.
My family and I came for the Miami game this past weekend. My first time in South Bend and first time on campus and in ND Stadium.
Gotta say, we had an absolute blast. The scenes on and around campus were incredible. The whole campus was abuzz- I’ve never felt something like that before, where everything else on the entire campus felt like it came to a standstill to accommodate the dizzying array of stuff that was going on.
Based on the comments in this sub, it appears that by the standards of seasoned ND fans, yesterday was <yawn> just a game amidst a sea of “just a games”, but the atmosphere, fan support, traditions, the whole thing…it’s really special. Be proud of what you have and don’t take it for granted— what you’ve got is only present in a handful of places around the country.
Thanks for the hospitality and memories.
I am realizing that there is so much negativity and pessimism in the ND fan base. Everywhere I read I see negative, nasty and pessimistic comments.
I have realized that this is sucking the fun out of a season I eagerly anticipated for 7 months.
As ND fans we sometimes have unrealistic expectations. Look at teams like Florida, Florida State and Auburn.
There’s is much good in this team. First, the defense is lights out. There’s young, dynamic talent all over the field. The secondary is probably at an all time high.
Second, overall talent is up.
Third, ND has two future NFL running backs.
Fourth, RL is as good as a running QB as you’ll find in football this year. Yes, he needs to improve his passing skills and I’m confident that will happen.
Fifth, lots of injuries but component replacements due to depth MF and staff have built.
Sixth, it’s just fun to be an ND fan. Best uniforms in college football. Multiple platforms where we can find great ND content, get to watch every game, etc.
Cheer up ND nation. Life is good and this football team is good. You’ll see!
Discuss any lingering thoughts following yesterday's win over Miami (OH) and any thoughts on the week of College Football in general.
I brought some family and friends to yesterday’s game. ND requested feedback on the experience.
