If there are spots open in a study abroad program is it too late to try getting in for fall 2024?
As an incoming Freshman who's going on the pre-med track, I have heard nothing but great things about it. I've committed because of so much positivity towards this school and it's program. To all Notre Dame graduates or current seniors, after graduating where did you end up in terms of medical school and your career paths. Thank you and go Irish ☘️!!!!
Hello everyone, it is getting very close to commitment time for college and I am STRESSING. I would love to go to Notre Dame as a biology major (pre-med) but the cost of attendance would be about 45k in loans per year. My parents are not helping me to pay for college which would mean that I would be taking out a lot in private loans.
On the other hand, going to school in-state would allow me to graduate nearly debt free before attending medical school.
I truly loved Notre Dame when I visited for the people and the campus itself, but I don’t think it’s realistic for me to spend that much on loans.
Please offer me some guidance if anyone has been in a similar situation or has an opinion on this.
Thank you!
Daughter wants to major in Aerospace engineering. She got waitlisted from her top 2 dream schools so she’s now trying to decide. RICE doesn’t have aerospace engineering but they have astrophysics and astronomy w mechanical engineering. I bet she will change her mind though. I think she likes the “fun” parts about ND (she went to a summer engineering program two years ago and loved it). Both are full price (sucks being upper middle class). Which school is better!?!!!
I've heard a lot about how good Notre Dame's residential life is (both on here and other places) and how I won't regret the choice. I'm currently an admitted student deciding between Notre Dame and another school, so I want to hear from students and alumni what this actually means and how Notre Dame make it special, and what I can look forward to in the Fall.
I'm somewhat introverted (I love talking to good friends, but I'm not a party / meet people at big events type of person) so if any of you could relate I'd love to hear your experience!
I applied to the college of arts and sciences with a major of psychology, however, have decided now that I am interested in double majoring in psychology and accounting/finance. Is the transfer process as a rising sophomore difficult?
I’m visiting Notre Dame. Where’s a good campus bar to get a burger and beer?
Hello! I was recently admitted into the Glynn Honors Program as a biochemistry major and had a couple questions for anyone familiar with the program.
First, are there any gpa requirements to stay in Glynn? I'm not planning to slack off, but I also don't want to constantly fixated on my gpa.
Second, do they distinguish between liberal arts and stem students at all? For example, will I be in the same philosophy and seminar classes as say, English majors? Also, will they be in the same science classes as me?
And last thing, is there any data on med school acceptances for students in Glynn compared to the university as a whole?
Thanks for any insight y'all can offer!
Just curious how is Calculus A and B at ND for someone on premed track with Biology/Psychology major. How difficult it is to get good grades? Are there any "easy" professors or should this be taken outside Notre Dame at some community college? Please advise.
hey! i got waitlisted and im wondering if anyone has received any info about getting off the waitlist. my waitlist email said that the final date for hearing back is april 29th so im assuming it's rolling but im not sure if it is not, but would love to hear any info about it. any previous seminar attendees who got of the waitlist who know?
Anyone who could advise on premed track at ND vs Pitt. Thinking of psychology major and want to achieve high GPA. I hear different opinions on ND with grade inflation/deflation. Want to know how hard it is to maintain GPA and would there be any major that is popular in premed track to maintain higher GPA. Thinking psychology or may be biology vs neuroscience. Please help.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
I’m between ND and Pomona. I’m honestly torn. I recently visited both and loved both. I want to live in California but mom wouldn’t let me…She visited ND with me and also liked it. She said she would be okay for me to go to ND. I think that with the smaller class size for Pomona, I would thrive because I think that I’m better suited (especially I’ll be taking the hard classes like Ochem). I can’t say the same for ND, from what I heard, the avg class size for Ochem is like 90 ppl…
Some important factors I consider is party scene, location, food, religion (I’m Catholic). I am also planning to do Premed and from my research, both are excellent for Premed.
For some context: ND offered me almost a full ride and I would have to pay around 10k/year for Pomona.
Now for the important question: which school should I choose and why?
The ND Video Game Club is hosting an ND day stream on Twitch! Our current event is a MarioKart tournament between some CS department faculty going until 5:30. We'll also be hosting a smash scrimmage with Bethel University right after. Feel free to stop by an support the club and see some fun game play!

Hello Everyone! I am torn from either going to Notre Dame or a school like UCI for mechanical engineering. Aid covers most of the cost for both, so I am just curious about the potential opportunities offered and would it be that much different than my state schools. Any assistance on the matter would be very appreciated and thank you very much for your time.
I'm looking into NotreDame Application for 2025 and have SAT superscore 1490 (3 attempts) and ACT 33 (just one attempt, planning to retake in July; confident to get at least 34 with superscore if not 35).
Questions:
Thanks in advance!
Planning to apply to ND for 2025 as a premed track. Currently split between biology vs psychology vs neuroscience as a major choice. Several people on forum told me that the major doesn’t matter but want to stay competitive and choose major in which it’s not impossible or too difficult to get good GPA. Willing to work hard, but just don’t want to get burnt out by choosing a harder major when it doesn’t make difference for premed track. I do understand I need higher science GPA in premed subjects.
Please advise.
What are your thoughts on South Bend Transpo as a medium of moving throughout South Bend as a ND student?
I have a friend, an alumni from the Mendoza College of Business, that told me that public transportation back in 2019 was very deplorable, very bad timing, low availability… to summarize his Opinion, it was worthless.
However, as that was a while ago already, I would like to know, if it has improved? I’m planning to move in a flat that is very reliant in South Bend Transpo, so would like to have a reality check before committing into a lease.
Thank you for the help guys.
Need help with regards to biology or psychology major on premed track at Notre Dame. How are the courses, clubs, research opportunities, or extracurricular activities at Notre Dame for premed track? Thanks!
I have a lease for an off-campus property at Notre Dame that don’t plan to continue on. It’s a four by four luxurious flat that you could also check out on the website @ http://www.universityedgend.com.(let/ If you are interested, let me know.
Are there any Notre Dame University Whatsapp groups for people looking for roommates or people wanting to sublease their place? If yes, please please share the links! I know of the ND housing group on Facebook but haven’t found any other resources.
Hi, I’m looking to sublease a room in an apartment/house/townhome from Mid May 2024 to July 2025. Looking to stay near the Compton family ice arena. Please DM with any options/suggestions. Would like to stay under 1000$ per month!

Hey
I can't get into Notre Dame and I knew that and it wasn't my goal. I could go to Holy Cross for 0 tuition as well as a few more small private colleges. I want a place with a good social scene, sports, and school spirit. I was wondering if Holy Cross College students go to ND parties, games, and just what it is like overall to go there. Ill take whatever you can give me.
Thanks for your help

I was a stem field background but also want some business experience. Already been through 2 semesters of physics classes though.
I'm curious--and very anxious--to see everyone's responses.
Is it worth it? Can someone please tell me about their experience in this program and how much did it contribute into your college application? How accurate has this program it represented the student life in US(I’m international student)?
