Bulletproof dehumidifier for detached garage?

Have a 2 car detached garage that needs a long lasting dehumidifier. Already has a French drain in place but still has condensation and will need a formal dehumidifier. Anything I could buy that would last 8-10 years regularly? It’s not a huge space, 2 car garage that’s a bit bigger than the standard 2 car garage size.

Nylon Flexible Belt

Looking to find my father a good flexible nylon belt. Basically the Patagonia nylon belt but unfortunately they’re too small. Any recommendations welcomed!

Winter SKI/SNOWBOARD socks

Hi,

Looking for some durable / warm winter snowboard socks. I looked up some topics and for socks darn tough and smartwool came up.

Is this also the case for ski/snowboard socks?

USB charging brick/back

I need to get a charging bank that I can plug all my stuff that uses USB/usb-c ports to charge, which is basically everything... anyway, are there any multi port bricks, with a fast charge rate, on that note, what would a fast charge rate be? What should I be looking for? Thanks for the guidance!

Dishwasher

Recommendations? Or repair tips maybe? My current dishwasher has stopped washing the dishes on the top row, and barely washes the bottom row. It’s infuriating!

ISO tracker that doesn't need BT always on?

I am looking for a tracker for keys and wallet, but I want to conserve my phone battery and prefer not to have Bluetooth constantly on. I have an android and looking to find something in case I lose it far and one that can make noise. Please and thank you.

Would a Life360 Tile work without constant bluetooth or no?

Adjustable ankle weights

I've been reading the ones on Amazon and they seem to be low quality. What brand is durable?

Is there a BIFL fashion/beauty subreddit?

I love this sub! But find that it is most appropriate for appliances, etc. I am curious about the utility of buying certain clothing items that cost more upfront but may be worth it. It’s often difficult to know.

Is there a sub for this? Thanks!

Dustbuster handheld vacuum

I realize that anything cordless/battery powered is probably not truly bifl, but seeking recommendations for a high quality small handheld vacuum cleaner. Preferably bagless, maybe with attachments for getting in tight spaces.

Bonus points for repairability.

I had a metro vac for a while that did most of what I’m looking for but was a little bigger than I’d like, used hard to find bags and eventually melted its power switch.

Thanks!

Empty new appt, need your help!

So, I will be moving into a new place which is completely empty, and need household appliance recommendations. Not necessarily exact models, but brands to avoid for each item, and brands you guys love. Also, it could be just specific features that I should look out for!

I am searching for:

  • induction stovetop
  • oven
  • fridge
  • dishwasher
  • cooker hood
  • washing machine (could be with dryer option, but not necessary)
  • cordless vacuum cleaner

Looking for quite bugdet friendly option, but if one option is so awesome that I have to have it instead of alternatives, I would consider it too

Thinking about bosch/samsung/aeg/electrolux, and maybe dyson for vacuum…? But no idea which are worth it

Thank you for all your help!! I am in Europe, if this helps:)

P.s. I know that Miele is the best of the best regarding washing machines, but unfortunately this is a bit too much for me

Solovair, comfortably vs docs

Hey all, I've been reading as much as I can on here about solovair vs MIE docs. But I'm hoping for a few more details.

I own a pair of MIE docs, had them for a about a few years. They are well broken in, I love them and always have been a docs fan. I wear them maybe a few times a week. Recently I went to an event with my girlfriend that we were on our feet for about 4 hours. By the end my feet were pretty sore. I'm on my feet all day for work (8+ hours, welder) and I wear a pair of redwing truwelt 4499, and I never have that problem

My question is are solovairs more comfortable? I've watched the video where the guy cuts it in half and it all sounds promising. I wouldn't wear them to work, but would like to be able to stand forore then a few hours without hurting. I would most likely but the 10 eye high shine. And help would be much appreciated

Looking for a microfiber kitchen mop

I have used a microfiber headed O-Cedar brand traditional twist mop. It works well but the quality was always doggy and has only decreased. What once was metal has now become plastic. Metal degraded in the bleach anyway but held up for many months of weekly mopping.. Plastic is not tough enough to hold together just looking at the mop, never mind the hot water and significant force required to wring it out sufficiently. The metal one I replaced the head once and then the handle wore out before the replacement head did. The plastic one has not lasted past the mop head.

I understand mop heads may not last forever but something that last longer at least.

It needs to be traditional rope microfiber (or other suggested head material but microfiber when wrung sufficiently will almost dry the floor.) It needs to hold up to bleach and very hot water. It needs to hold up to man strength required to ring it out sufficiently. Bonus points if it has a nice long handle designed for 2 midgets in a trench coat.

Massage chairs?

Does anyone have a massage chair they love and use daily? I have chronic pain and recently used one that a friend owns. It felt incredible. Would love recommendations to look into from experienced users. Thanks!

Looking for a hot water kettle

Hey BIFLers, my partner and I love drinking tea and coffee throughout the day. We have been using a cheap electric kettle for many years and now it is starting to fail on us.

The electrical connection between the base and the kettle is not as good as it used to be and now the kettle has to rotated just right in order to heat up water.

I'd prefer a gooseneck kettle if at all possible, but beyond that no real preferences. It would be great if it looks beautiful as we do enjoy having live looking things but the current object is very utilitarian so either way works fine by us.

Cheers!

Dress pants

I’m looking for suggestions on quality dress pants that aren’t outrageous in cost. Ideally would like to spend under $200. It kills me to spend that much but I need it for work.

Thank you.

Nathan James couch/sectional?

Any reviews? Still looking for couch/sectional that I'm hoping will last about 10 years but would not break the bank, looking for somewhere between 2k-3k.

Utensils for cooking?

My mom’s birthday is coming up, and as a gift to her I want to get her new cooking utensils.

Think ladles, spatulas, stirring utensils, etc.
