So I did the reentry application for LSU for spring 2025 and it says Financial Aid and Scholarships but it’s blank and that didn’t appear when I applied last year for Fall 2024 will I eventually get a scholarship or no?
i just got the digital media minor added to my degree audit. Is this a good minor to pursue here at LSU? Also, i’m a junior majoring in Computer Science.
What’s the difference between dual and double major? And can I do them as a freshman?
I applied for LSU in early october, and I still haven't heard back. My application just says "submitted" but not under review or anything, but all my documents have checks on them. Could I still be missing something?
I’m a director and am transferring so just wanted to know what was going on
Is this good? This is without fafsa I thinkkk?
I'm a possible visiting student and I stumbled on MAT 3355 at LSU, I see a self paced option thats not too bad affordable wise. Just was wondering how the course is and if it is something one could take in a month or so or better not to.
Hi so i recently received my merit package from LSU, they’re offering me 4k a year + “president’s aid job” which totals 5,5k a year and everything else they’re giving me is from tops. Everything added up including tops is around 13k a year. Is this my final package? Not to sound ungrateful but my stats were good so what they’re offering me seems to be on the lower end. I plan on dorming so am I still going to have to pay a lot out of pocket? I’m not sure how to feel so i’m worried.
Do you guys know when LSU emails you about scholarships? I’ve gotten my acceptance letter around late October but haven’t heard anything regarding any scholarships. Also, do I have to submit my enrollment deposit in order to get one?
Hi,
I received my scholarship E-mail and received the President Student Aid Job Scholarship.
I was wondering the following:
Has anyone had Elgrishi N for chem 1201?? Im in her class for this semester and need to know some study tips and how her course is specifically! Her ratings look solid,, anything would help😊
I really want to get an on campus job at lsu (as a student) but after submitting my resume many of the jobs emailed me back saying their ai couldn’t detect my resume. I want to redo my job resume to better fit their standards but I was wondering if anyone has examples of their resumes that got them a job on campus. thnx!
Hi guys, I applied to Odgen Honors on October 8th, have y'all gotten word?
I wanted to ask how much you got for each of y’all. I got 60k (15k a year) for my 4 years intially. How much did y’all get?
I plan on going to lsu and rushing a fraternity , I’ve been to some frat parties of some older friends in the past and it’s sick, but how often do frat parties usually happen? Also I know Fred’s and tiger land is a big bar scene but would you say LSU is a bigger bar or frat school?
I applied to LSU back in August this year, my transcript and application was downloaded by September. I have still not heard anything about my application being accepted and it’s 12/20. Every time I call or email they say it’s on its second read. Today, I called again and I was told that they couldn’t agree on whether I should be accepted or not. What do I do to up my chances? Should I reapply?
For reference I have a 21 ACT (which I decided to be considered in my application) and a 4.0 GPA. I have many extracurriculars that include:
-working in my high school’s office -President of 3 clubs (including student goverment) -different athletics -competitive film maker -athletics manager -AP and DE student
Please help…
I was recently accepted into LSU engineering school and wanted to know if/when I would be notified of Merritt scholarships and how to
I just submitted my lsu application on common app! however, i am confused, do I wait for an email to make a portal or will LSU just email me in due time that I've been admitted?
Just wondering what kind of stats u would need to recieve scholarships.
Im out of state so not sure if this means i am ineligible.
1420 sat and gpa 3.4-3.5 range. Weird circumstances with my gpa since I don’t do american hs curriculum.
how is this class ?
Hi so I had a question i’m currently applying to various nursing schools and i’m a sophomore in college right now. The nursing school at my school I already attend is a two year program and is 5 consecutive semesters ( one is a summer semester) meaning I would graduate in May of 2027, thus completing my degree in the normal 4 year time span. If I decided to go to LSU this upcoming fall what would the timeline look like ? It seems like i would graduate in Fall 2027 instead since it’s also 5 semesters but it doesn’t look like there’s a summer semester. I hope this makes sense !
TLDR : If i go to LSU would I be graduating a semester later compared to if I stay at my current school ?
hi! i just wanted to help any future students who applied and are waiting to hear back. i applied on october 30 and didn’t hear back until december 19th. i was very anxious the whole time but it’s really just a waiting game so don’t worry. i’m an out of state resident that applied test optional. good luck!
Got accepted to lsu, waiting on honors decision. But don’t have anything saying if I’ll get any scholarships, do they send that later or should I pay my deposit right now for them to send it or for them to “reserve” my scholarship until they send out letters saying if you got a scholarship or not.
any like super easy non time consuming classes like art 1001 only taking 12 hrs next semester and can’t take anything else because this semester is pre reqs
I am moving on campus but I still have a lease with Campus Crossing on Brightside. If anyone, preferably a female, is interested in subleasing please please reach out to me. It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom. the rent is $410 and the electric bill is split among everyone.
What are some of the best forms at LSU? Right now I’ve got my eyes on Annie Boyd/ Evangeline but I’m nervous because I know that those get full the quickest 😭
Hey I am looking for a photographer available tonight to take photos at our holiday social from 7-8PM at Blend Wine Bar. We are Forum 225 a young professional organization in Baton Rouge.
Hey! I’ll be in my second semester of my junior year this Spring. I’m sitting at an already very high GPA and don’t need many more hours to graduate. That being said, I have a lot of opportunity to take some EASY GPA booster classes to maybe reach an even higher GPA. My question is, what are some light work, GPA booster classes? Between next semester and graduation I have the chance to take 15 extra hours (I only need 39 more to graduate, so I’m splitting my semesters as 15, 12, 12).
I have already taken a bunch of credits, of course, for my required curriculum. Here are classes I have already taken (in regards to “extra” classes): THTR1020, CLST2101, HORT2050, GEOG2050(do not recommend), CM1070, SOCL2001, GEOG2051, ART1001
Next semester I am doing MC2000 for a dept elect, so that one is already in action
Hello so I have some direct questions. I am interested in beginning a PhD program at LSU and have 3 questions. Does anyone know about any experience with doing one of the PhD programs while commuting from New Orleans? Also How often per week would PhD classes be in-person lectures? 2 or 3 times per week? Ever heard of weekend classes being offered? Lastly, would anyone know of some PhD classes are offered completely online? I appreciate the insight in advance
