i don't have a great overall gpa (3.14 [though it probably changed with my ap classes]) and i have a 31 on the act. thank you!
I've lived in Louisiana my whole life. I'm currently a senior in high school with a 3.2 GPA and a 17 on the ACT. I have 130 community service hours; I'm involved in many clubs and have a few achievements from them. I have retaken the ACT twice and waiting on my results, I'm going to apply when i get them back. I want to major in accounting. Can someone give me a real insight on my chances an what LSU looks for nowadays?
can i add a temp license plate number to a parking pass i got in a wreck and kept my old parking pass im scared i will still get ticketed or towed
Hey, i bombed my first chem test, got a B+ in the next one and plan on getting A's in the following two imma have these upcoming weeks. I'm shit scared of the final, and I wanna know how is it taken and all that stuff. I know it's the same final for everyone who takes chem1201, but is it in a testing center or how does that work??
Did anyone take ISDS 2000 online? (99% online) How was it? Should I go in person instead?
how is phil 2020 online
I am thinking about dropping chemistry 1201, but i’m not sure yet and my scheduling is today. If i drop it, i’ll just take it spring semester and take chemistry 1202 during the summer. Should i schedule for chemistry 1202 and chemistry 1212 (the lab) just incase so i have a spot secured? Also i don’t know what other classes to take. Please help because I am totally lost on what to do.
moving back to Louisiana and just wanted to know what the uni was like
I am looking for MS in Computer Science (Fall 2025) with a focus on AI & ML. Want to know if the university provides any specialized tracks for them or any separate courses/programs? Or are they just available as electives in main CS program?
If available, will the final degree show any specialization?
I am a hs senior with a 3.1 GPA weighted, and I have a 20 on the act, and I am also a Louisiana native. Will i get in?
Hi, I am coming to LSU in May and am 45 years old. I am looking for a nice place to rent. What are the best upscale apartments/housing options for a older 4th year veterinary student?
The prompt is about something that helps you express yourself. Literally the only thing I can think of is physical activity because I’m not a creative person at all and I don’t dance, write, do art, etc.
I really wanted to use my common app essay but I choose not to send it with my application because I thought if I sent my common app essay with my regular application, I would not be able to use it for my honors college application.
Pls help
Like is it a scam or are the benefits actually good?
Oh my god I’ve been trying to get an appointment with an advisor for a month now and Navigate once again utterly fails me. Doesn’t matter how long or how early I spend refreshing it endlessly on a Friday there are simply never any fucking appointments. Back to spamming inboxes of advisors until I make some kind of progress. This happens every fucking time I try and get appointment for two years running fuck navigate.
Hi All, I have a question regarding getting in-state tuition. I currently live in San Diego, and I plan on moving to Baton Rouge and attending either LSU or BRCC. I know I will have to take a gap year during this time to qualify. However, I'm curious if it is possible to attend trade school and still qualify for instate tuition after the year.
I’m seeing a lot of posts about students getting in trouble with SAA for using Grammarly on their papers. Grammarly is a form of AI. I know it’s used to correct grammatical errors, but it can change the wording to the point where it looks like it was written by someone else. If you need revisions, read through your paper once or twice, ask a friend to look at it, or go to the writing center. Grammarly is not safe to use with today’s advanced AI detection.
My family’s coming down next weekend and they wanna see a classic southern tailgate. I don’t have many friends who like to tailgate so I typically don’t go. Mainly looking for new friends to tailgate with or a group that will take us in. If there are dues/covers we’ll totally pay them or we can get catering for the group. Thanks in advance
My daughter is going to be a HS freshman next year but she absolutely knows she wants to be a veterinarian and has since she was in kindergarten basically. Someone gave us advice that the vet school gives priority to applicants with "hands on" experience and therefore she suggested going for an associates in vet tech vs animal science. This person is not a veterinarian btw.
Is this accurate? I feel like this is bad advice.
Had a essay for english to turn in. After turning it in I received a letter from SAA about using AI to write my paper. I didn’t though and turnitin flagged it at 50%, I used grammar to help with vocabulary and the teacher never had anything specified about no grammarly and even said we could use chatgpt to get more information about a topic written on the syllabus. I have two test right before the meeting and another paper for the same class due before it aswell but I’m more focused on stressing about the meeting and what will happen after then about my other classes. I haven’t had any misconduct in college or even high school and scared I’ll be put on probation or worse. Any advice?
Specifically the genetic perspectives on cancer taught by cook?
I’m at 10 hours rn and I’m currently on the waitlist for psych 2016 (#5) and socl 3371 (#2). Kinda nervous so I need ideas for other courses to sign up for in case I don’t get into either of them.
hello all. i'm a first semester freshman art major currently in 3d design, 2d design, and drawing composition. i've been struggling to find the energy to get up and go to class or go to the studio in my off hours to work on projects. i'm woefully behind in 3d especially, and i'm not sure what to do or who to talk to. i want to be here for art but it might just be too much for me. anyone here share a similar experience?
is there a chance i'd get a scholarship without an essay to go to LSU? I have a 3.8 weighted gpa and got a 23 on the act, just asking because I wasn't going to submit an essay but others have said i should for the scholarship portion.
Howdy from aggieland!
Sorry if that might make yall mad, i mean it with zero disrespect and hope to come off with nothing but kindness and respect.
First off i just want to say as someone who was in my highschool’s “drumline” (we didnt march on the field tbh) yall’s performance was a really interesting switch up compared to the millitary style that A&M has. On that note, i wasnt paying attention to the info given over the PA about the show and would like to know more about it. Like what was the theme of it? What songs did yall perform? Etc. also couldnt really see it because i was at the very top of the south endzone ngl and didnt have the best view.
Second, i want to say this in the nicest way possible but there isnt rlly a way without sounding a little rude. It did feel like a couple times yall would try to outplay the A&M band, and at the end of the day i understand that, its friendly competition (battle of the bands) I vividly remember a couple times it felt a bit extra. Trying to drown out most of our war hymn (only real complaint) and there was another time (dont remember exact time) that yall played nonstop from end of play, through the comercial break, and all the way to when the ball was snapped. There were also a couple times when it looked like the band director kinda looked over and queued yall up after A&M would start playing something. My question is though, is it like this for every game? Or was it just for the A&M game?
Thanks for being understanding. Thanks for being nice in aggieland to those of yall who went, shoutout The Tiger Band for the fire halftime show, and good luck for the rest of the season
P.S. bring back neck, its the best song yall got.
I was wondering if anyone taking Prof Barto for Latin 1001 would talk about if he is a good professor or not. He recently subbed for my latin class and he was good, but hes new so doesnt look like RMP has him on there rn. and I need to schedule for a class with him or Katchmer so if anyone could help that would be great
I notice that whenever we schedule it always says we are maxed out at 17 hours for a little while before it switches to saying 19. Anyone know how long it’ll take before I can put in my 6th 3 hour class. I’m not too worried about filling up since it has like 500 spots open, but I still wanna do it quickly.
Is it too difficult to take ISDS 2001 and ISDS 3115 in the same semester ?
Hey guys! I wanted to know if there was anything going on for Halloween tonight! I don't go to bars and don't have any friends going to parties... This is my fav holiday and really wanted to do something since I spent a lot of time on my costume :[ If there's anything please let me know!!♥️
Has anyone lived at the retreat on brightside? What are yall thoughts on it. Is it safe?
I am an ecology major but also a drummer. My drums are in New Orleans because I rent a room in BR and my only opportunity to practice is band practice on the weekends. Are there any drum rooms on campus open to non-music majors? I know there are practice rooms but not sure if there's any with drums and whether I'm allowed to use them. Thanks
