I replaced the flint in my lighter and as expected it's incredibly hard to turn at first. But after I get it to turn once it's incredibly loose after, like the flint gets dislodged. I've taken it out and replaced it a few times with the same results. And advice? I'm using zippo brand flints. TIA
Hi everyone, this is my first post. A few months ago i bought this chinese lighter on a flea market, and I was wondering what it is since then. I don't know why, but it feels special for some reason. I figured out that the symbols on the back mean "musical gods lantern" or "lantern of gods music". I need some help in identifying this since i couldn't find anything online. https://imgur.com/a/rBLTmat
I bought this lighter online and attempting to fill with my regular can of butane caused it to sputter and spill out, I ordered a pack of generic assorted butane adapters on Amazon, and none of them worked.
People have carried fire and a blade since before history. This 12st century iteration is a Zippo armor brushed chrome case with butane double torch insert alongside a TwoSun mini front flipper in blue anodized titanium handle and m390 steel blade.
So I'm out having a smoke and my neighbour pops up with a big grin on his face .We had been on the conversation about my recent zippo/lighter affliction the other day and he mentioned he has a knock off some where. fast forward to today and he appears full of joy gifting me said lighter so I swapped my insert with my zippo and his face lit up
Me and my father found this lighter, and cant fill it up. We've tried to fill it with gas, but it doesn't seem to enter the lighter. Any ideas?
Thought this might be a ronson strike lighter however it appears to be older, and created by Carl auer von welsbach his self. Note the patent date.
Am I wrong? I don't have any of the books but in pretty sure I'm right.
I didn't get to see the bottom stamp until it showed up.
My Da' is awesome. Just wanted to gush for a second.
Large Windproof Lighter
I have a large off brand zippo lighter I am trying to find replacement parts for on the bottom of the outside casing it has the name STAR® M Series & the numbers 903, on the inside of the casing on the actual lighter itself it has the name Earth Windproof Lighter registered number 3348. Does anyone have any idea as to where I can find replacement parts for it at? Can I just use a regular zippo spring, wick & flint to make it useable again or what do I need to do? Please help!!!!
Somewhere in the mid to late 90's I bought a brand new Ronson Varaflame. Unfortunately I (ab)used it a lot and it has suffered quite some damage over the years. So when I was in a thrift store yesterday and I saw a very nice looking one for €20 I didn't hesitate and bought it. But looking at it I already thought it was a bit different than the one I had so when I got home I dug up my old one to compare. And indeed, the dial to set the flame height is around the burner on my previous one (left) while it's a small dial on the bottom of the lighter I've just bought. Also, the one I already had says "Varaflame" on the bottom while this one says "Premier Varaflame". So my question is, are these 2 different models that were available at the same time or is one of them a redesigned version from a later date? And if so, which one came first?
Never broke on me, never gave me any trouble or harm either, if your safe with it, I’d say it’s safer than A bic lighter. Owned for longer than a year and no complaints or issues. Doesn’t chug butane am still on the 90ml tank I’ve had for 8 months or more. It’s not special, but it’ll light a campfire or something you don’t wanna get your hands near, flame has stayed a jet and have never seen a normal flame come from this thing. 10/10 design function and price. Imo a this lighter is a must have for any type of kit or collection. (Haven’t cleaned a single thing on it and flame is like new) turns a cheap buck knife red hot within 20 seconds..
Can't seem to get it to fill bought it cheap as a start of a collection wondering if anyone has any advice
Hello, my boyfriend has expressed an interest in starting a lighter collection someday so I thought I’d get him one to start him off. Issue is, I have no idea what to get. I don’t think it matters if the type of lighter is modern or vintage, so long as it has an interesting history or representation behind it. Any suggestions? Thank y’all in advance 🙏
I have this promise lighter. I really like it but the new can of butane I got doesn't really fit correctly. It sprays butane everywhere when I try to use it.
The can came with some really crappy adapters but they don't seem to help.
Any suggestions?
