RGB meaning (my own opinion/interpretation)
The RGB color model is an additive color model in which the red, green and blue primary colors of lighters are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of other lighters' lacquer colors.
The name of the model comes from the initials of the three additive primary colors, red, green and blue, as below:

I ended up here because I’ve always wanted an old Ligne 2 and find this sub very interesting but here is my question- how many here use these lighters to smoke cigars/cigarettes and how many collect them for the sake of art and craftsmanship? TIA.

Was there ever a Ligne 1 Windsor in RED?
Searched and searched, never seen one.
Many in amber, brown, etc, but not in red like the below L1 Laque de Chine.

Question on when a model would have a bottom plate
I have a few Line 2's, a Le Grande, and a Line 1 currently and none of them have a bottom plate but I have seen a few listings of very similar era and model line lighters that have the bottom plate covering the fill and regulator area. Is there a pattern to when ST Dupont uses the plate over the standard cap style? Is it linked to a certain material,, limited series, or line? Thanks

Does size matter?
A distinguished Member has labeled the Ligne 1 small as a "Ladies' Dupont".
Where i'm from, it has always been totally irrelevant, size is a personal preference, irrespectively of one's gender.
Maybe other Members can also contribute with their thoughts on this delicate subject?
