Established in the early 1980s and launched in 1989, the Lexus marque soon became associated with quality, luxury and superior customer satisfaction. The brand reputation grew quickly until, barely a dozen years after its founding, Lexus became America's best-selling line of luxury motor vehicles.

I paid Carmax $200.00 to ship this car from Ohio to Maryland so I could test drive and potentially buy this car, and I just noticed that the rims on this car do not have the Lexus logo on them. Every other Lexus car listed on their website does. Is it possible these are not OEM rims and some sort of aftermarket look-a-likes?
My plastic (I assume) spoiler on my '10 ISF is very sun-faded. The OEM replacement is $488 from Lexus PartsNow, which is outrageous. There are cheap "carbon" ones on eBay for ~150 but I don't love that idea. Any ideas for replacement/repair?
Hi all,
I am looking to purchase an RX450h F-Sport soon but I am wondering about the different front bumpers.
Is it something to do with the model years or facelift? I'm struggling to find info about it.
I've noticed some have air vents while others have fog lights.
What's the difference? Thanks!
I’m looking at getting an ls400 for my back and forth to college (about 6 hours) and around town. I know they’re legendary for their reliability and pretty cheap in my area. I’m a pretty experience mechanic so maintenance shouldn’t be an issue for me if I have to do it and the poor gas mileage is still way better than what my sierra I currently drive gets. So would you recommend this? I’m really just focused on their reliability and if they hold up like everyone says.
Loving it so far
Hey guys I just had some odd experience and wanna share it with everyone here , I have an 08 LS460L that’s been acting the other way around, during summer time (40C) where I live didn’t seem to have any problem, but once winter came in I’d drive from home to work and car would never reach optimum temperature, I took it for long highway drive and near home the gauge showed C cold ! Ran live data obd coolant was at 70 C ! Super odd , parked it running for a while , no extra fan movement, reached 84C and stayed there , I asked my mechanic to replace thermostat anyways with engine oil and coolant flush , I did attach a pic of the thermostat , that SOB is still stuck open 😆😆😆
Just a lesson learned for everyone , replace your thermostat every year with coolant flush, small part , big problems , it could’ve cracked my engine running at highway with 70C !!!
So I bought 2010 Lexus Gs350 and wanted to install carplay/android unit keeping original screen (retrofit I believe it is called). I have already done this on my camry for ~200$ and I still like it. There is one that fits “VLine VL2 GROM” that costs about 500$. I was wondering if there are any alternatives at a cheaper cost? Thanks
Believed I noticed tail end of last winter but didn’t think much more of it until it started getting cold again, but my driver seat doesn’t heat at all anymore but my back rest still does when activating the drivers side heated seat button. Looked under seat to see if something may have come a loose but don’t know what wires do what to the seat. On top of that, all wires/harness looks secure underneath. If the seat stopped heating wouldn’t the back rest stop heating also? Passenger side still works well, are there heating elements fixated in the actual seat that could go bad? If so, do they need to replace the whole seat or have to rip into the current seat to remove and replace, in which both options I don’t want to have done per se. Just hate when things need to start to be removed, seems like it never goes back the way it came from the factory. Was hoping some type of wiring that may have come loose, but don’t know which/what wires harness under the seat controls the heated portion of the seat?
Hello,
I am considering buying this 05 LS430. According to description, it has “New timing belt, tune up, brakes, etc.” With a clean title. Almost 120k miles with black on black colors, which is my fav combo. Price being asked is $12,550. There is a link to the posting if you need more details.
Thanks
I’ve just bought my (kinda) dream car, a 2003 SC430, but I really don’t like how the navigation screen looks (plus, it doesn’t close because it’s broken). I’ve seen some pictures online of cars that have the dash trim as one solid piece, with the navigation screen and A/C vents integrated. If you guys could help me find it and let me know where to buy it, I’d really appreciate it.
Parents were dropping off someone at the airport and all the lights came on at a red light. Was fine before. What might cause this? Battery? 2005 RX330
I have a 2024 LX600 and it has two buttons on the liftgate. A close button and a close and lock. The close button works without issue but I can’t get the close and lock button to do anything. I hit it, the car beeps once and then twice and doesn’t do anything. Haven’t been able to find anything in the manual. What’s the trick to get it to work?
Bought my Sunlit Green ES300h on Saturday. Came out of Home Depot today to find another Lexus parked next to mine to make for Christmas colors.
Yes, 2 weks later, the weather dropped to a shocking 25 degrees and you guessed it, my car's heat went out!
Thankfully I wasn't hurt while driving 70 mph on the highway and kept going to the next exit, my exit, so glad I was near home. When I saw the damage, I freaked... It was dark out, but I saw the deer's head slam into the driver's side just in front of the side mirror, and it's body was flung along the side of my entire car, damaging the doors and ripping the rear bumper. The gas flap is permanently flapping, but it still tightens with one click. The rear view mirror closed slightly and while I was driving toward the exit, I let the window down and clicked it back into place.
So...I was still driving it just fine, but noticed just yesterday, the heat was "rolling" in and out. I'm quite sure the heat began malfunctioning with my driver's side vent blowing cold air, while the rest of the car was nice and toasty. For a fleeting second, I wondered if the heat was going out, but it never happened again and this was last week (the accident happened 2 Thursdays ago, so the Thurs before Thanksgiving 2024). TODAY no heat, and on the way home, the needle ran severely to hot. Since the heat comes and goes, I had it on to see if eventually heat would come on, but I turned it off completely and the needle went back to its half way resting spot and rose again but this time, not all the way to red. I noticed slowing down helped keep the needle low so I crept the rest of the way home doing 35 in a 55.
The big Q is,, what is happening with my car? Will this be an easy fix? A pricey one? Still driveable? I was looking towards getting my smashed headlight fixed, luckily the police have not stoped me, I guess it's because I have the bare min on both sides: rt side headlight, no fog light, lt no headlight with fog light..
Any suggestions or ideas? I was looking up water pump vids, but I was hit on my left side.. Is this even RELATED to the accident? And I did not have AC to begin with, bought it used and got along without air, but now it seems like I finally do have air now instead of heat...? It's blowing cold.

Looking to purchase a GX or LX 470 as an adventure vehicle to accompany my daily. 10-15k usd budget. Will use for moderate off-roading/overlanding, winter driving, camping, and probably some light rock crawling and lesser technical trails
Assuming similar age, mileage, service history, etc I’m asking for some input on which platform might be best fit.
My biggest concerns are:
-Cost / availability of parts for LX given the age and vs gx being on a more common platform. How much of a hassle would I be in for trying to maintain a 100 series? How’s the aftermarket support for both?
-DIY friendliness comparison, is one easier to wrench on in the driveway?
-size: since both get bad gas mileage id lean to having more space inside for gear/sleeping and to built out a more permanent storage system
-Ground clearance & peace of mind: do GX owners yearn for more clearance? (No immediate plans for a lift, probably just tires)
-comfortability/ride: will need to handle 10+ hr driving days and long highway stints. LX hydraulic vs GX airbags and is the maintenance worth it vs swap it?
-tailgate: I much prefer the split tailgate vs barn door. Pros and cons of each?
-suggestions on most “life changing” mods
-any other major considerations I should have?
Basically, is the LX worth the higher purchase price and possible parts/repair cost headaches?
Thanks in advance!
Just yesterday, I had an unsettling experience at a luxury dealership, and I’m hoping to get some advice or hear if others have been through something similar.
I took my older vehicle in for maintenance, trusting the dealership’s reputation and professionalism. After they performed an oil change and tire rotation, I drove just a few blocks when a TPMS alarm appeared on the dash. My partner and I immediately returned to the dealership, after leaving a voice message on the representative’s landline as a notification.
When we arrived, they informed us that the faults couldn’t be cleared and claimed it wasn’t their responsibility to fix. To make matters worse, one of my license plate screws was completely blown out, leaving my plate hanging completely — a detail they didn’t mention to me or my partner at any point.
When I pressed them about the TPMS alarm, they suggested replacing all four TPMS sensors with original parts, quoting an outrageous cost. Their attitude throughout the interaction was disheartening—they refused to take any accountability and instead blamed the issues on the age of my vehicle. I emphasized that I trusted their service because of their dealer status and ethical standards, but my concerns were completely brushed aside.
In the end, I left the dealership with the same dash alarms and my license plate still hanging, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Has anyone else faced something like this? How did you handle it? Should I escalate the issue further, or is it better to move on and find a different location/mechanic? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Can the left/right temperature dials be programmed to turn the cooling and heating system on when you turn the dial clockwise or counterclockwise? Or are they limited to just raising and lowering the interior temperature once the fan is turned on?
At 7000 miles now of easy off the gas driving it's average 18mpg. I got robbed! Anyone else have one?
I have a gs350 and the sunroof rattles like crazy when I drive. How can I go by fixing it
Anyone buy out your lease? Did you regret it I’m coming up on a deadline with 48K miles for 26K or I need to move into a new lease. I’m torn it seems like the most cost effective decision to keep it. Any insight would be helpful.
If anybody knows please let me know
I thought Rockuto shows OEM parts along with all other aftermarket makes ?
Here i'm looking for brake pads, don't see OEM (under my model)
Title says it all.
