At the moment there is 3 of us girls who live there ! I have a pet tortoise:) I’m 22 and I’m interested in music, hanging with friends, thrifting, church, going out, staying in, going to the gym. I’m a very anything go with the flow person ! I also like my alone time. My other roommate is 21! She’s in college and also works full time she is usually in her room and or at work ! She really likes criminal justice, music, staying in, watching movies, going to the gym and shopping ! We have a chore schedule and all take over an area in the house to clean and so on! I try and stay really clean ! We have room for a bookshelf and a couch along with a tv stand for the living room ! We have a washer and dryer, couch, dining room table, coffee table and so on ! I will post pictures of the house. Thank you !
I am hankering for some good spicy mapo tofu dishes here, preferably one that is actually spicy and isn't solely filled with mushrooms.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a local place that details cars?
Got a couple friends coming down with my girl and I and we're looking to go out for my bday and have some fun around the city. Do you recommend any bars or clubs around Kokomo for a younger crowd?
Edit: Ight I'll go to the Coterie. Appreciate the answers.
Just like the title says…I lived in Kokomo back then and I swear there used to be an old gas station that was converted to an enclosed, 2 bay Carwash where topless girls would wash your car. If I recall, it was on the north side of town near where Washington street and the original US 31 merged. Can anyone confirm this?
I had a tiring day and just wanted to go home to relax.
When I got to my (Jeep) vehicle…I saw, to my happy surprise, someone had placed a red duck with a note that I had “just been ducked” on my windshield!
I’ve seen other Jeeps driving around with a dashboard full but this is my first time in getting one! I want to thank the anonymous person who did it!
It really made my day! 😊
Female. 28. Lots of tattoos, colored hair, and piercings. Keep to myself and value privacy. I've also got some animals but none of them have fur, make noise, smell, or are harmful in any way. I don't have a regular job or a regular schedule. I make money selling my art and adult content online. I've been able to pay $1,200 a month in rent and electric for over a year, but my lease is up in a week, and I'm ready to start saving up and really focusing on starting my small business. No where will rent to me on the fact that I have no way of proving my income for the last year. Which is my fault for not keeping a better record. I'm open to renting a room from either male, female, a couple, etc.. I'm down to earth, honest and kind, and keep to myself.. I'm open to any GENUINE offer..
Charming fella at the Meijer pharmacy lied to my face and told me that I never had the prescription for my estrodial patches that I've picked up from this very pharmacy for 2 years, when I asked to speak to the pharmacist he proceed to swear at me, thumb off to the back and then come back and basically say his word was law. Won't be doing any more business at this Meijer, CVS can have me instead
Edit: For all of you tRump supporting Nazis that are gonn a look at my profile and downvote, just know that when we all loose Healthcare I will laugh at you in return when you can't get life saving medications. You might not see my estrogen as important or life saving and that's the problem.
TLDR: How are the management/maintenance/neighbors and safety of the Turtle Creek apartments and neighborhood?
Hi there!
I'm interested in moving to Turtle Creek Apartments (by West Jefferson Street and North Dixon Road) and was reading some mixed reviews online. I was wondering if anyone who's recently a resident or lives in that area would be able to tell me about the apartments' management, maintenance, neighbors, and overall safety of the area?
I appreciate any reviews/feedback, thanks!
I’ve seen the recent post about book clubs and past posts about The Coterie being a decent spot, but where else can 20/30 year-old somethings find community around here outside of religion? Looking for LGBTQIA+ friendly places specifically!
I was wondering if there are any book clubs in Kokomo that meet monthly. I know there are two at the library, but one is in the middle of the day on a weekday and the other seems to conflict with my schedule quite a bit. I go to a book club at Sun King in Carmel every month and am hoping there's something similar closer to home.
Are there any particularly beautiful places in Kokomo? Whether it be scenic nature or skillful architecture. Something that would make for a pretty picture on a postcard
Let me preface this by saying I love Kokomo. I love that I can by pass if needed now but if I need to drive through, still plenty to do and eat.
Having said that, what are the bugs that attached themselves to everything I own? Month ago, it was at the ball park. Yesterday, they were near as bad but had a few around at the high school.
They were so bad the first time, they were all over the outside of my car. I had to spray my coolers and let them outside for the night. When I went outside, they quadrupled onto the spray and commit insecticide.
Looking to host maybe a bi-weekly or monthly Magic the Gathering and board game sesh on the west side of town. Anyone interested?

It’s not Kokomo, but it is Peru. If you’re bored and looking for something to do on the 19th, I suggest stopping out and having a look around. I’ll be speaking at 1:00 PM so you can come listen to me talk about the weird stuff I’ve dealt with.
Basically the title. I moved to Kokomo recently and I have been looking for partners to play tennis with, but no luck till now. Is there anyone who’s down to hit, or knows people or groups that play tennis on a regular basis. I have been playing tennis for about 3-4 years and can hit the ball with a good spin and a decent pace
We're looking at ways to help those affected by Helene, like possibly a food drive, but we don't have a way to get supplies down to victims. We're looking for people/groups already planning to head down that way in the next week or so who we might be able to send donations with.
Hello, I'm not sure how to go about this. Looking for an immediate room to rent. Things have been tough this past year or so and I'm down on my luck. Having to leave where I'm currently at due to current roommate not paying the rent.
If you know of something, or anything that could help please send a dm.
Looking for a room to rent or a small apartment. Have to find housing by the 1st so time is limited.
Edit: I ended up getting an offer from SpaceX, so I won't be going here. Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome!
TLDR: For residents here, how do you like this place?
I recently got a job offer in Kokomo at the StarPlus factory, and I'm debating whether to accept it. One of the factors I'm looking at is the area I'd be living in. Specifically, looking at the local feel of the place and possible areas to explore or meet people. Here are a few things I'm looking at/for and about me:
The deadline to accept is October 6th, which is pretty soon, so I appreciate any replies. Thanks!
Does anyone here ride a Onewheel / would like to meet up for a group ride?? I know Indy has a big group, but was hoping Kokomo might have something similar.
Howdy,
I work for the library, and we're trying to develop our next strategic plan. Part of that involves community feedback to help ensure we're giving the people what they want and need. If you have about 15 minutes, would you please fill out this online survey? If you don't have a library card, that's OK! We want feedback from everyone in Kokomo to help us be the library you deserve.
Thank you so much. The more responses we get the better! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YSVPYCK
How come no Dunkin Donuts in the neighborhood? Staying here for awhile for work
Did anyone else in the area happen to see the huge flock of birds that (I’m guessing) the hurricane blew in this morning?
We were eating breakfast out early on the Northwest side of town this morning when we saw them.
Long shot, but I have to clean out my storage and take all of it to the dump hoping to do so On Saturday so preferably somewhere that’s open on Saturday, and no more than a 30 minute drive one way!!
