I'm looking at some houses for sale in Fishers and occasionally seeing some really strange property taxes. Example:
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11973-Stanley-Ter-Fishers-IN-46038/349240494_zpid
Property tax should be $3486 but the Hamilton County Property records website says the tax is $7890 (total per year):
https://secure2.hamiltoncounty.in.gov/PropertyReports/reports.aspx?parcel=1911360009006000
The property tax is supposed to be 0.83 percent. Any idea why the county website would list it as so high?
Carmel and Noblesville schools have early childhood centers open to the community, why can’t Fishers build one?
Please share across your social media! Early voting lines have been long and this is a great resource for planning when/where to go.
Hopefully this is an encouraging sign for Indiana.
So sad that every time a property is developed in Fishers they cut down every tree, like the property along I69 south of 106th street. It was a beautiful heavily wooded property that had every single tree cut down and now just has a for sale sign posted. Or the trees that were along the Nickel Plate trail north of Lantern road, some of those were so close to the trail that they couldn’t have been in the way of that development. Who is responsible for making these decisions and who can we vote for that would save more trees in our city/county?
This morning I spotted a Cybertruck with the Nickel Plate District logo on the front and back. It was parked in the small strip mall parking lot on 116th by Handles in the “Nickel Plate District”. Anyone know the who or why?
Hey guys.. Have any of you taken your car to get serviced at the Honda in town? Do you normally just pull up to the service area or park & go inside? My first time doing this and would rather not drive around looking like a moron during busy hours haha.
Are there any experienced baristas (preferably north side of Indy, anywhere in Hamilton, Hancock, Madison counties) looking for PT work at a unique new bakery/cafe? My wife is working on an interesting shop that will need to employ 1-2 people in December or January. DM me if you are interested and I can pass along info.
Pay will be in the $20/hour range (hourly + tips) and will only be needed 8 hours a week. Details still being ironed out but we're searching for good candidate to start with.
Howdy!
I live in Fishers and it took me over two hours to vote a couple of days ago. Since then, I have seen a lot of folks sharing pictures of the lines at polling locations and asking how long people have been waiting.
To help people voting over the next couple of weeks, I made a web app for the community to report how long it took them to vote.
All you have to do is go to timetovote.live and input the address you registered to vote at. Then you can see the polling locations for your area, and their respective wait times.
This is all going to be community submitted data, so currently all locations wait times are unknown because this is just getting started.
**The polling location data comes from Googles Civic API, so I would trust but verify the operating hours that are listed. I am a software developer just trying to make the world suck a little less, and have no ads or analytics running on the site.
I tried to go to Billericay park about 10 min before opening, and the line was already to the baseball field. I’m currently in line at the fairgrounds and I have been for about 40 minutes. I expect to wait at least that much longer to vote.
Update: it took about an hour and 10 minutes. The line is substantially shorter now.
Holland Park had about an hour long wait when they opened at 10am, and a 90 minute wait at 11am. I’ve heard the fairgrounds line is much longer today as well. Wherever and whenever you choose to go, make sure you go! Fox59 reports that 500k people have voted early!

DV survivor w/kids needing a 5 day stay.
Me and my children fled a DV situation 8 months ago. We had just rebuilt our life and things were going well. We need to leave our current home and go to a more safe environment where we aren’t going to be found or bothered. We have been accepted into a DV apartment type living situation but need somewhere to go from 10/25 - 11/2. I just spent all our money on the new place deposit, Uhaul and moving. Does anyone know of anywhere a mother, 3 teens, and 2 small dogs could rest their heads for 5 nights? Any suggestions help!
I have tried I believe ever shelter in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Coburn you have to have a referral EVERY SINGLE SHELTER IS FULL If they aren’t full they don’t take kids.
Anyone know anything I am desperate
OMG. Do not vote for this guy. And frankly, don’t vote for any Fishers One candidate. They are running as a slate, and Fishers One is still supporting him!!

Looking for anything around downtown fishers, Geist, noblesville, wherever!
Does anyone know what business is under construction on 69 South just north of Exit 210? There is no sign.
Yesterday’s post in r/Fishers about wait times was helpful to me so I figured I’d start one for today.
Went to Hamilton County Fairgrounds this morning. Arrived about 10:30 and timed it. Took me 35 minutes start to finish. The line was starting to get long but moved quickly.
Report here if you early vote in Hamilton County today!
Could I leave at 4 and get back in an hour? Anyone know?
My wife got yelled at by a homeowner while she was parked on the side of the road while she waited for our daughter to leave a friend's house. This guy yelled at her, saying she wasn't allowed to park there and that the city says it's a no parking zone and that it's also a private road. I'm pretty sure he's full of crap, as there are no signs saying you can't park there. And especially because nobody is harmed while she waited in her car for 10 minutes. I'm not trying to pick a fight with the guy; it's really for my own edification. If anyone is curious, it was on Willesden Cir, across from HSE, right next to the pond.
Why has this fool not been forced to drop out yet?
