RPP Handguard and Accuracy 30-30

For those running a RPP Handguard, how's your rigs accuracy been affected? I didn't baseline before installing so don't have a frame of reference but, at 2-300 yards I am getting pretty large poi spread.

30-30 running hornady lever evolution.

The set screws that interface horizontally into the barrel are what I am wondering about. They are the plastic tipped set screw variety and I'm curious if those are deflecting as things heat up?

Likewise the set screws at the receiver, did you have to play with those tensions?

All Weather Action Job

Hey y’all - wanted to clean up & deburr my All Weather Side Gate 45-70. Have any of y’all had experience with this? Will I ruin the hard chrome finish if I polish up the lever, loading gate, feed ramp, etc?

Buttstock ammo sleeve for Big Boy .357?

Hi All,

I’m looking for a good buttstock ammo sleeve for a Big Boy .357 carbine. Don’t want anything that looks to “cowboy-ish” or tactical. Just want something easy to put on/take off, snug fitting, and reliable.

Thanks!

30-30 is the GOAT.

What do you think about this build? Not a tacticool. I'm a simple man.

Henry homesteader

Got a new homesteader today, installed the Glock Magwell, when I have the magazine installed on the gun it does not allow the action to close. If I take the mag out it works, anyone else have this issue?

Best products for maintenance and care?

I purchased a Henry H001 back in May for the beautiful price of $260 including the paperwork fees. Since then it has been in its box in the closet as the only cool dry place. I intend to actually use this to keep my aim up as well as display it. What are good products to use as far as oils, and anti-aging product on both the wood and barrel, a good bore snake since all I can find are steel bore brushes (which I was told was a big no-no to clean a Henry with, as well as other miscellaneous firearm care items? Please note; I do not intend to modify the weapon so please I don’t need to know how to sporterize it, nor intend to mount any optics. The Henry website as well as the manual it came with already give instruction I just need to know what products to get.

Scope suggestions, sorry if this was beatin to death 😅

Okay, so I bought my first Henry & picked it up the other day. It's the 16" carbine H012GMR(.357) I have not yet shot it, I'm still getting used to holding/aiming it.

This is my first lever action rifle. I'm still learning the fundamentals, in's & outs. Primarily I intend to use this for plinking. However, due to my semi-retired father he has his life and is away from his home few days a week, has a nice 3 1/2 acreage of land. He has a surveillance setup on all coordinates/cardinal directions. If needed, the days I tender his lot/home while he's away, I'd like to get a scope if a predator is on the prowl(lack of a better term)

I don't know what it is I'm looking for, I see the different types of cross hairstyle, but the 2x, 3x, or even 6x magnification is where I get lost. I'm looking for something minimum at 100 yards but no greater than 125 yards.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, Thanks everyone!

New rifle (to me) and not sure what it can take down

I just bought my first rifle for my 18th birthday, and I’m not sure what it can take down. It’s a Henry Big Boy .45 Colt, and I plan on going hog hunting soon, would that be suitable? I’ve never shot that small of a cartridge before besides in pistols, any tips would be very appreciated!

All Weather or Standard Steel Version

After deciding that I would like to purchase a Henry 44 mag as my next gun, I have found myself looking at the standard steel side gate version, and the all weather version. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Just for more information, I will probably just shoot it for fun, but might occasionally use it as a deer rifle.

Flat faced trigger on a Henry big boy

Hey y’all, I was wondering if anyone has made a flat faced trigger for a Henry big boy, if so can I buy one. If not, can one be made and if so, who do I approach to do so? Thank you in advance for your time and knowledge.
