I'm looking at buying a rifle for my son(s), one is left handed so I may need up getting a lefty version later, and have been looking at Begara B14, Tikka x3, and Benelli Lupo. I was going for a .243 because I figured they could both handle it until they get older, then we could go to 30-06 or something else. I did not realize the options that are on rifles now. Cerakote, blue, matte, I had no idea these were options. When I got into guns I just went and bought it, never really thought about coatings. That being said, can y'all help me out. I am only familiar with blue on a rifle. I seen an option for a stainless barrel, which I don't think I want. So far I think I like the Benelli, but just seeing what y'all thought.
Forget about price. Out of every single rifle you have ever shot which is your favorite when it comes to overall feeling and accuracy?
Hey so I bought a vx-freedom 3-9x40 scope and I was trying to find what I needed to mount it, but I can’t figure it out, can someone please help me and recommendations on mounting ring recommendations
I know this has been asked a million times, but does anybody have any suggestions on a budget rifle chambered in a .270. Really would like one with a threaded barrel. I’d like to spend less than $650’if there is any options. I’ve found a savage apex predator xp with a threaded barrel under $660. Also considered a weatherby vanguard obsidian and buying a budget scope for now. Any other options I could be missing? It will be a primary hunting rifle and occasional longer range target shooting. Thanks for any suggestions.
I’ve done my research and I decided to grab a tikka t3x super lite of off bass pros sale it was that or the savage 110 and the tikka just felt so much better it made it worth not coming with a scope, so naturally I’m asking for scope recommendations it’s calibered in 300 win mag , right now I’m looking at a vortex 6-18 with a game reaper mount. I would go with a longer range scope because I usually kill my deer at 300 yards every year but I understand that because of the stock I shouldn’t lift the scope up a lot.
Looking at scopes for my xbolt 243. Use it for coyotes , deer , target basically everything rifle. Currently run a bushnell trophy 4-12x40 . Works well just looking for an upgrade as my eyes are more sensitive these days . Looking between a vx3hd 4.5-14x40 or a bushnell elite 4500 4-16x50.we’re in from the leupold is almost twice the price . Let me know what you think . Thanks
I'm a complete beginner and have never handled a rifle before. I'm planning to start learning with a .22 rifle to build basic shooting skills. After a few months of practice, I hope to move up to a larger caliber rifle for hunting.
From my research, it seems like the Ruger 10/22 is a popular recommendation. Would this be a good choice for someone like me? Are there other models or tips you'd suggest for a total beginner?
I’d really appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance!
I'm curious about the level of shooting skill required to consistently place 20 rounds within a 2-inch circle at a distance of 50 meters. How does this compare to average and professional marksman standards in the U.S.? Would this level of accuracy be considered good?
P.S.: The rifle I shot had a 4.9 MOA. With iron sight.
Anyone know why the Browning X-bolt rifles are so heavily discounted right now? New model coming out? Just junk?
If my rifle is zero at 100yrds and when I move to 200 yards I’m shooting about 3 inchs lower. To hit the bulls eye at 200 I would need to aim 3 inches lower or higher?

I bought this Mauser straight pull .308 and am wondering if I can remove the bolt to clean the barrel from the breech? I was warned not to mess with the "timing", whatever that means. I got it used, so I don't have a manual.
For those that have experience, what are your thoughts? Do they hold zero, track and return? How's the Clarity? I fully realize we're not talking about Nightforce, but for the price point, are they generally worth it? I am an admitted glass snob.
