Hello Everyone, I just booked a trek that is 3.5 months away. I am motivated to work really hard to monitor my food and exercise.
It is a 6 day trek and I won't be able to enjoy the trek if I am not fit enough.
I am looking for someone who is motivated to work on their goals and I am here to support you when you need a push. I would like to have a 15 min daily video call so we know we are on track and remember our goals. Also not to miss any of the to dos two days in a row.
My goals are :
• 4 days strength and conditioning • 3 days running • 8k steps everyday • 1500 calories • protein in each meal

I am a 26F student and I will also start my student job soon. Managing tasks has become stressful for me, and I am doing poorly right now. My main goal is to study, focus on my projects and finally be able to have some guilt-free quality leisure time. I am excited to try this motivated buddies method and I am looking for a partner that we can check in with each other, preferably daily. We can do it through texts and sometimes (~ 1x week) through videocalls. My time-zone is CET (UTC+02:00).
I also think it would be better if we have some funny punishments in case we didn't reach our daily goals without a good reason (e.g.: you have to donate some amount to the charity of your choice, but we can discuss it for sure :) ). I’ve narrowed down my issue to this:
I have regrets at end of day —> I dont spend my time in best way/i make bad decisions —> I make bad decisions because I am unable to manage my emotions in best way,

I am usually a very motivated person, in terms of ambitions and life goals - I started the year wonderfully, with some accountability partners. However, pleasantly, they've become friends. This also means that the accountability side of things has slipped.

I have ADHD and I function great at work (structured environment with built in accountability and incentives), but managing my life outside of work is a huge struggle.
I work weekdays from 7am-4pm, EST. I have pets, but no kids, roommates, or partner currently.
Basically just looking for someone with similar struggles and a similar schedule who is up for check-ins a few times a day. Doesn’t have to be long conversations (unless we develop a friendship!), but regular exchanges to keep each other on track.
I’m envisioning things like:
“hey, it’s 5:30pm, are you working on xyz task like you planned to?”
“here’s a picture of the clean dishes I said I’d do this afternoon!”
“it’s 8pm, are you winding down for bed like you’re supposed to?”
“let’s both put our phones down and see how much cleaning we can each accomplish in the next 30 minutes”
I’m open to other ideas too of course! I’m flexible on communication methods too. Any free app with a chat function is fine with me, maybe switching to texting later on if we both feel comfortable exchanging numbers.
I’d be ok forming a group of 3, but no bigger. I’ve joined some larger accountability groups in the past, but that allows me to fly under the radar and not respond since the others aren’t really depending on me.

I’m 26F, I’m a mom and I want to join the military. I need to lose 100lbs. Im starting tomorrow. I’m looking for someone who shares something in common with me (mom)(female)(wanting to join the military) or just someone who wants to make a genuine connection, like I’m really nice and would like someone from outside my lil world to exchange a text/encouragement with at least 1x a day/or a couple of times a week.
My work conditions allow quite a lot of flexibility both in terms of location and schedule. I am still dealing with burnout, and I live on my own, which means I can easily go days without human interaction.
I am looking for a motivation buddy focusing mostly on mindset, positivity, and so on. I hope to have a daily check-in, either a phone call or message, depending on the length of the conversation. I am able to keep up with most of my daily habits, and I would like to reflect on my day, set goals, or decide on focus areas for the next few days. For example, when I feel anxious or low, did I recognize that and calm myself down and adopt a positive attitude? Did I plan my day in advance, and did I follow through? How am I coping with some unforeseen change in the plan? What are some things I can do differently for a better outcome, etc.? Feel free to let me know what you’d like from me. If it’s a daily checklist review, no problem.
I prefer people in the USA, ideally in the EST-CST timezone. If you look at my post history, you can see that I sometimes look for people to receive my task list and check them off in real-time. I am open to that too, but it’s lower priority. I don’t need that all the time, and I can always post again for that.
Lastly, this is experimental and flexible. We can always discuss to see how to make it work better for us, and if it’s not working, we can stop and let each other know. I don’t mind if it becomes a small group (3-4 people), so that you always have someone there, even if some of us want to take a break. Hi all, I'm Laura, she/her, 34 years old. I'm from Wisconsin, USA, and I am looking for support mostly with household cleaning tasks.
I work part-time (1-4 hours a day) so my schedule is very flexible and I am mostly free during the day to do this.
I speak English (native), German (C1), and Spanish (B1-B2). If you want to do a language exchange - 30m German/Spanish, 30m English - while we do tedious tasks, that would be a bonus!
My idea was to do this over a voice or video call. I used to do this with my best friend but now she's very busy. We would either send a photo of or show via via video the messy room that we had to deal with. Then the other person might suggest where to start, or just acknowledge the photo. Maybe the person who sent the photo knows where to start and says it out loud and starts. Then later an update photo is sent, or the room is shown on video again - evidence of progress. Encouraging words are appropriate at this juncture. Meanwhile, photos or video footage has been shared by the other person and similar comments have been exchanged in the other direction. It's a very supportive relationship and there is no competition or pressure.
That is what I'm looking for! Sorry for inconsistency in tense... I actually really hate when people do that... but I don't have time to edit it because I have to go to a dentist appointment now. Shucks.

Hey guys. I’m 17 years old and i’m looking for some guidance on how to get myself back on track.
In April 2023, exactly a year ago, i was in the best shape of my life. I was hitting the gym 4-5x week and doing MMA 3x a week, in my opinion i had a very good balance of strenght and endurance. Come late April 2023, i broke my arm in an unfortunate accident while sparring. Okay. No training whatsoever for 2 months, rough, but i’ll be okay. Started easing into training again mid summer but since i was enjoying summer in August trained only maybe 2-3x a week total. In September, school year starts and i’m like, okay, i’m healthy again, i’ll get back into my best shape in a quarter of a year, muscle memory etc, no worries. Mid-September, on like my 5th session back in MMA, i rupture my eardrum(that’s it with MMA btw), so 3 months of no training at all, for it to repair i can’t breathe heavy, it almost required surgery and hearing machine so basically a very bad case. All this takes a massive mental toll on me since i’ve always been very athlethic, played different sports and enjoyed training. Also it takes a toll on my confidence in general since i see my body deteriorate both aesthetically and ability wise, for example starting to get out of breath for the first time in years clibing the stairs at school. I should also mention a big part of why i’ve gotten to this point where i am today is my nutrition. I’m 6’4 and i was 205lbs/93kg in september ~16% bf, now april 2024 i’m 225lbs/102kg 20+% bf. I have rationalized my eating by ‘i don’t wanna be in a deficit while not training to promote even more muscle loss’. In reality i’ve just not trained/ trained like before and eaten as much, or more as a result of i think stress or feeling a little bit depressed. This new school year has been tough for me in a new school. Injuries, social life changes, changes at home have all like..pushed me off my trajectory so that has effacted me mentally. In January i could start training again, but at the start of the year i didn’t go on a cut, rationalizing that in order to get a good muscle memory comeback i need to be in a surplus(better to be yk). Now, since march i’ve just been pushing back going on. a cut. Why? I don’t have the self-dicipline like i had before. I’m like a completely dofferent person. I lack self control, a strong mind, dicipline and motivation. I am basically a lazy fuck right now. In march and april i’ve gone to the gym like 2x a week because of very tough situation at school. The tough situation is real, but in reality created by myself. I just want to get myself back. The person i was before. I used to walk with my head held high but the respect i have for myself has decreased a lot. I want to respect myself again. I have avoided going to parties with sauna to avoid showing my friends what i have become. Read that again. Yeah..
So only i can make the change. My very ambitious and optimistic plan is this:
Starting today:
4)not procastinate and sit on my phone half the night and get a decent sleep also on schooldays 5) Protein shake 2x a day for extra protein
These are all things i’m not doing right now so let’s see if i can stick to it. Any advice or adjustment i should make?
If anyone actually read this then thank you so much! I feel like half the reason i wrote this is because i just wanted to get it off my chest. I’ve not told anyone about this and acted all tough. Now that it’s off my chest the work begins.
