maintaining the SWAT vehicle with the 50 caliber machine guns

Obviously, this is a fanciful TV show based on a comic book, and a story about the dead walking the Earth and eating people. So I'm not going to condemn a show simply on an unrealistic plot point. But, not even worrying about how much diesel that thing must burn, just how ridiculous is that SWAT vehicle with the mechanical multi 50 caliber machine guns? Don't those things usually take someone watching the belt of bullets, and aren't they something that would require a pretty heavy amount of maintenance? I would assume so. And then there is the question of finding chains of 50 caliber bullets just laying around to continue using it. Get the whole show, the journalist and other people with I'm sure little to know knowledge or skill continue to drive and use it as if it's an old Ford festiva that just won't quit.

S3 E13 Running out of air plot........ is STUPID

The running out of air thing.

So you are telling me they couldn't just go to the hatch with 3 men, open it a crack enough to let air flood in. But not enough for zombies to stick their arms in or whatever.

Does season 4 get better for worse?

Cause this whole ndian vs white thing is so played out. But I might just be fatigued from the past few years of political culture wars.

This might be the worst show I’ve ever seen SPOILER

I was always a walking dead fan since it first came out. I’ve rewatched TWD a handful of times. I never got around to FTWD until recently my fiancé and I had nothing to watch and gave it ago. Like most, we were rocking with it S1-3. Even then, I read some people saying these seasons compete with TWD. Even though these seasons were better than the rest of FTWD season, I still don’t think they compare. Even though it was painful, my fiancé and I finished the entire show. I found myself questioning myself constantly, like “am I crazy or is this really the worst show I’ve ever seen?” And I really think it is. Terrible writing, extremely corny, and felt like a video game or a comic book rather than the real-life grimey-ness TWD had. It had been years since I rewatched TWD but I had to go rewatch it after finishing FTWD because I was so bad I needed a refresher on what a good zombie show can be. UGH THE CORNINESS!! from the punchlines (you’re not gone till your gone) to never killing anyone to the random radiation, people always showing up just in time. Not to mention the acting. And don’t get me started in the fucking walky talky monologues!!

Alicia Clark Deserved Better

So we all know Alicia Clark the beloved badass. Alicia was introduced in S1 as a 17yr old highschool student with her entire life figured out. Then the apocalypse happened. Alicia was still 17 mind you and was for at least two seasons and either just turned 18 for the bunker or was about to turn 18. Anyway Alicia was still a child fighting in the apocalypse.
So S1 wasn't too traumatic in my opinion the real trauma started in S2 especially the Hotel. Leading all those walkers to the pier. Not to mention having to climb out a window probably 100ish feet in the air. So she could make the walkers go splat. And almost died doing that. Then after they left the hotel they met the Otto's (Love Jake and Troy) that whole situation was very traumatic for the boys not as much tho for the girls. Then they go the ranch at the end of S2. Now in S3 Alicia and Jake are in a relationship and all is good. Nick and Troy have a good "bromance" (bromance my ass they were in love) anyway Alicia was getting trained to fight and shoot. The end of episode 12 of Season 3 titled "Brothers Keeper a hoard comes for the ranch TEOTWAWKI. Then in S3 EP 13 titles "This Land Is Your Land" Alicia had to kill half of the people in the bunker herself while they were still human keep in mind she was either 17 or just 18. I'm pretty sure newly 18. So she killed like 50 people in that bunker to try to save the others in the bunker and in the end she was the only one to survive the bunker.
S4 they find a stadium and turn it into a working community where they were safe for awhile after Nick blew up the dam and Madison "killed Troy". In the stadium community they were safe for awhile till a different group put a hoard ofln their doorstep where Madison "died" saving Alicia and nick. A couple episodes later. She lost Nick in S4. Leading her to become heartless but calculated. Poor girl was 18 when she lost her mom and brother. But Alicia gets her cool barrel shroud weapon. Skip to S7 Alicia loses her arm at 22 when she got bit. She amputated but it wasn't in time causing her to have fevers and hallucinations she battled that for months while fighting the crazy cult dude and then Viktor who killed her boyfriend. And in the end Alicia saved Viktor and everyone in his group and in hers. S7 ends with elher collapsing on the beach looking like she was about to die. When she woke up and started walking and looked normal she shoots a walker and leaves.
S8 Madison returns and has a war against Troy who she thought she killed. When he gave her a duffel bag with Alicia's arm that she amputated and turned into a weapon. And since it has been roughly 11-12 years since Madison saw Alicia but Viktor recognized the arm and said "that's Alicia's" Troy then played the game he killed her (infact he did not. Alicia and Troy got into a big fight after Alicia couldn't save troys wife. Causing Troy and Alicia to go full gladiator mode. The fight ended with Alicia's weapon arm in troys stomach and Alicia several wounded. Causing both of them to technically lose the battle.) Madison thinks her daughter is dead and the war continues till Madison does the same thing to Troy that Alicia did. Shove Alicia's weapon arm into troys stomach effectively killing Troy for good (I cried) the series ended with Alicia finding out Madison was still alive and they hit the road together.

I honestly want a spinoff of what Alicia did between the ending of S7 to the ending of S8 cuz that was like 8-9 years. To be fair I wanna see Alicia's and Troys fight

Whyy?!?!?

WHY?!?!?!

I joined this sub cus I just got to nicks death and I had to rant. I don’t care if everyone here’s heard this a million times but WHY THE HELL DID THEY KILL NICK. I’m crying so hard this show is ass bruh I don’t even want to keep watching. Nick was the only death that could make me cry. And that was the most pathetic lame and sorry death they could’ve gave him. I understand the actor asked to be written off but they did him DIRTY with the way he was killed.

Troy’s character. (Just saying Troy is too short to meet the minimum requirement)

In season 2, we are introduced to Troy Otto, someone who experiments on people, who doesn’t seem to be mentally all there, and who most clearly has no sense of empathy, and can’t comprehend other people’s emotions. He’s not evil, just a psychopath, destroying the ranch was just plain “if I can’t have it no one can”, the people living there were just pawns to him and he didn’t know they could feel emotions.

In season 8, Troy’s back, although I think his eye is cool asf, that’s not the only think that changed. He’s not a psychopath anymore, he’s capable of understanding human emotion heck he even got himself a (late) wife and kid and honestly he’s a really good dad. He’s mentally entirely there. But he’s just evil, he’s dead set on hurting the Clarkes, he said so himself. His only other motivation for taking PADRE was a safe place for his daughter to live which again proves his comprehension and practice of empathy. He’s just evil now.

Honestly I wasn’t a fan of this change. What are your thoughts?

Edit: I think it was season 3, honestly the first 3 seasons kinda blend together for me.

What’s up with the empty threats?

Is it just me or did you guys notice a shit ton of characters pointing guns at other characters almost every episode threatening to shoot but always end up in a 1930s western movie fist fight match? It’s almost predictable every time. Cringy writing.

New John Dorie mug, like the fish but ie, no y 🖤

So back in 2015ish I was a huge fan of TWD. I made dinners for it, tombstone cakes for the weekly airings lol. I was, as you can see, a huge fan of Daryl! Oh how I loved him. I received the mug as a gift from Hastings. Well after Glenn in TWD, I stopped watching immediately, like that week pretty much.

So much life has happened since then and some months ago my fiance started watching FTWD. I'd see snippets of it from when he'd watch it. So I finally broke down and watched it.

Omg, I love John so much! He's the human embodiment of a ray of sunshine and a human embodiment of a hug. He's so pure and his love for June reminds me of my fiance for me. I told my fiance I wanted a new mug because John is the most adorable character I've ever seen and Daryl has been kicked to the curb (jk, never). So he had this custom made for me for Christmas 🖤 I'm gonna use it every Tuesday while eating popcorn and watching movies 🖤 I can't forget the werthers either! 🖤

Season 2 Episode 7 was the beginning of this dumpster fire we call Fear the Walking Dead.

when did you realize you were watching the most incompetent characters and storyline ever created off the backbone of an actual great show?

S6E8 is bullshit and makes me want to stop watching

I put the show down forever ago and finally decided to finish it last month. Season 1-3 were slow for me but season 4 sucked me in with the introduction of John. Favorite character by a mile, he’s the reason I kept watching.

Seriously wtf kind of bullshit was this episode!? This is Glenn and Nick all over again. If they had to kill him off at least let him do something cool or heroic like Madison. Have him die saving June or something. Having him get cold blooded murdered by a little girl is fucking ridiculous!

Not sure if I’m going to keep watching after this. Is there any point? I stopped watching all Walking Dead shows back in 2016 when Glenn died and this has me on the same level of pissed all over again. Were they high when they wrote these episodes?

Just finished the journey

Just wrapped up the final episode. I found not much climactic, tying up loose ends and closure.

A few episodes before this, realized a few unsure happenings and a confusion as to some locations. I have been thinking of doing some searching, to piece together those uncertainties and had decided to see if anything in these last episodes would make sense of it.

Nope still unsure and no longer care to find out.

The whole "Madison doesn't care about Alicia and only loves Nick" discussion should have ended in this scene (first image). Madison has proven that she loves her multiple times.

Travis Manawa. Potential spoilers for s3

Just got about halfway through episode 2 of season 3. And wow. This is some bullshit. They do him so dirty. Right after this mfer fights through a walker pit gladiator style and comes out on top. A few episodes after he literally beats two people to death in the hotel. They kill this guy off with a stray bullet in a helicopter. Then to make matters worse he jumps out to his death. They built him up to be like s4 Rick grimes tough. Just hoping some others on here will feel me cause I almost don't want to keep watching. Ig this isnt the first time twd has cheated us.

FTWD veiwer

Just started this series. Kind of cheesy. On S4 where Morgan shows up. His character is just as annoying as he was in TWD. Does his character or the series get any better?

Chris Hate

I’m only on episode 2 but I despise Chris already. If he hadn’t gone to the protest; ignored his dad’s calls, and been so adamant about being in a dangerous situation he wouldn’t have put his dad and mom at risk! He pisses me off so much because if he had listened for just a second, they could’ve gotten to the car in time before the police came. >:|

Unpopular Opinion

I understand I am in the vast minority, but I was not a fan of Season 1-3, and really only started enjoying the show starting around season 4.

I watched all 11 seasons of the main series before starting Fear, and only started because I knew of Dwight and Morgan coming in. I know that makes me a little biased about my preference.

I truly was not a fan of any of the early characters, with the exceptions of Daniel and Alycia. John, June, and Morgan were by far the most enjoyable characters in the show for me.

I really am curious why it gets so much hate. I know the writing was weaker, but I think the characters are so much better.

what the hell? when did Morgan become the incredible hulk?

I know, we all love to bag on this show, but I'm still watching in season 8 And I thought it got pretty good at some points, and I don't mind that it has become the Morgan show. I've always kind of liked Morgan, but it seems like they've always struggled as to what to do with him. Mm we all know that he went a little cuckoo after Rick left him and before he met up with Rick again in The walking Dead. And I guess the show has established that somehow he goes a little cuckoo again maybe a few times.

But now all of a sudden we discover he has this superpower where he can fly into a rage and kill the bunch of walkers like some berserker or The incredible hulk, and then comes to without Knowing where he is or what happened .

What the heck? That's just kind of out there. It seems like this just came out of left field. I mean, the risk of Morgan going off the deep end being dangled in front of us as a concern is fair enough. But not like this. This is more like some crazy superpower. Just make him angry and get out of his way.

I'm just waiting for him to say, don't make me angry. Walkers don't like me when I'm angry. Morgan smash!

Morgan, why!?

S7 plot twist Morgan completely forgoes his moral highground against Strand. Why? This seems so uncharacteristic of him especially knowing if things didn't play out, his daughter Mo's life is gambled away. Up until this point he has accepted killing is a necessary evil but it was never something he didn't have to do to make it to the next episode.

first watch through

this is my first watch through and i’m at the point where travis is beating the truth out of brandon and derek for killing chris, and all i can say is it was so justified because he knew they were trouble from the start and that chris was never safe with them. i would be lying if i said it wasn’t reasonable crash out.

Why is this character so stupid

I’m at the end of season 5 and this is the stupidest death I have seen. Like I am actually mad at this why did he stand on the bridge. You can record it while being on the other side. 🤦‍♂️ sorry for my rant guys.

So I'm on S4, and I've just seen "that" death. I watched 2 more episodes after that, and I'm just not feeling it. I'm not really one to back down from a show; I try my best to finish a show. But like I said, I'm just not feeling it; should I keep going or just give up?

Just finished the show

So I just finished season 8 and I can say am very disappointed with the last episode. I just wanna see if anyone else agrees.

So first I don't get why all of the characters couldn't just start rebuilding PADRE. I think that island is as safe as it gets when it comes to zombies. Plus completely giving up on it kinda makes Charlie's sacrifice pointless.

Second i think the scene where Alicia and Madison reunited was very rushed. I was expecting it to be a lot more emotional since they both went through hell and after so long they found each other again.

And lastly I was so disappointed that we didn't get to see Alicia and strand reunite even for a bit. To be honest I don't know what I was expecting but definitely not this.

Let me know what you think. Finally finished it and moving to Tales now.
