There's CRM.... but which is the other one? The one with the three circles? Which one's good and which one's bad? Can someone please elaborate on all this?
Music in TWD : Trash Music in FTWD : Further Garbage Music in TWB : TOP TIER BANGERS!!
Everything Silas listens to is gold
I’m halfway through S2 and I hope there’s at least one or two more tracks I can add to my playlist
I struggled with the first 7 episodes of season 1 and found the acting terrible, especially iris. But I think season 2 was just as good as any other walking dead series and world beyond in general deserves more love!
If this applies to you then let me know please.
I am rewatching some key parts and I think in the end of episode 3 where Barca goes to see Elizabeth you can hear the helicopters in the distance and you can also hear the detonation charges.
We see more of that scene in 2x1 and in TOWL episode 1x1 and also hints of the gas being moved
The CRM is awesome. I hope he doesn't burn it to the ground. I think he's smart enough to realize the CRM is the future with that many ppl and military, it would be a mistake to destroy it and honestly if they do I'll be in disbelief. I don't really want it to be a like rebel alliance wins somehow thing. When there are obviously good ppl in the CRM and we can understand their motivations to rebuild for the future. If their scientists actually say humanity has 30 years if we fail at rebuilding, I think said in World Beyond, I resonate with the crm's decisions, albit don't comprehend like destroying - a certain city - (don't know how to do the spoiler thing) but kinda do understand them trying to remain secret for a length of time. Also they are pretty bad ass and have good origons, being the National Guard of Pennsylvania, and themes of American values.
Just finished season 1 episode 7 and I’m hooked! Been watching it all day. Honestly has me hoping these characters show up later on in universe. Love a lot about the show. Flashbacks from the outbreak =10/10 and Hucks Marine flashback was incredible. Silas background is dark and welcomed. CRM background, lore and techniques, 10/10. Seeing the world from teens? Actually don’t mind it, relatable in some ways if your even in your 20’s like me. Slightly cheesy at first, which can be argued (iris decisions make you go ugh, but remember she’s naive) but in episode 7… classic walking dead tale and something I think would happen with teens and jealousy. I wish I saw this show before watching The One’s Who Live, but for me it’s pairing nicely. I know this show has been hated for a while but as someone who just tried to start the last season of Fear, this is actually 10 times better than that PADRE bs they pulled. Learning about Ohmaha and CRM is much more fun. I like how they still have Huck and… uhhh lol I forget his name, but adults with the teens, who can handle their shit, with them on their coming of age story. For me this show is hitting, and I encourage you to give it a try too! Had to express my thoughts somewhere! I know another gripe is how they are surviving but hey, it’s kinda nice to sit back and just take in the world from their POV, finding food and shit like early TWD seasons. That stuff hasn’t been done in a whileeee. Characters gettting excited over finding a good pair of boots, etc. It feels almost more grounded in that aspect.
If what she said is true about tracking down and killing much one Rick and everyone if they left and that they won’t stop until they do. Does this mean the endlings and hope group r on the run or dead?
How did the french doctor run and pound on the door after reanimation? I know there are variants, but the variants I've seen were the variants in season 11 of The Walking Dead (main show) and in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
I’m on s1e7 and I’m struggling. I don’t find any of the characters likable except Silas. I want to see more of his backstory. The rest of them are annoying the shit out of me. Does it get better? I’m just trying to get some TWD fix between episodes of TOWL.
I’m starting season 2 right now and the speech that Colonel Kublek gives to Hope makes a lot of sense. Am I bad for thinking this?
I also saw the first episode of TOWL and I think the CRM are essentially a good force in the world there too. Yeah, they do unsavory things but ultimately they are focused on the survival of civilization. As far as I can tell, they aren’t led by a narcissistic maniac like Negan, psychos like the whisperers, or any other genre of “bad guy”. The people In Philadelphia live pretty good lives and even consignment seems to be an overall fair system that pays off for the people in it.
Yeah they’re too risk averse/conservative and they kill people who aren’t really threats - but can you blame them? They’re rigidity and secrecy is the key to their survival and the survival of however many hundreds of thousands of people they have living In Philadelphia. The CRM (through their capable intel network) has seen a world where the US gov bombed cities, gangs of rapists/cannibals preyed on the weak, and vicious maniacs like Negan and the Governor ran rampant - OF COURSE they aren’t gonna stick their necks out too far. Anything that Ricks group saw over the course of TWD, the CRM had presumably seen worse and more.
I think that’s ultimately what Rick realized and why he told Okafor “I’m in” at the end of TOWL 101.
Maybe watching the rest of World Beyond will change my mind on this, but these are my thoughts so far.
In the world beyond in the first episode was the 5 helicopters there to take Omahas resources after killing them?
We saw Felix and hope and iris leave and next thing the campus was destroyed idc about spoilers just want to know why
Who else agrees that World Beyond is a must watch to help understand some things??
But as towl is coming is world beyond worth watching or not and if not i just want to know what’s important in it because i think it’s the most connected show to towl but I can’t bear watching it because i watched the first episode and barely made it to the first half of the second episode as i felt the vibes of the show are so soft and not aggressive or gory as the other shows
I just finished TWD daryl dixon.. and i can't figure out if Genet was the same lady that got shot in the back at the end of World beyond after credits scene and turned into a walked so fast.
Comment what you think!
season 1
episode 1 was alright
episode 2-6 - the absolute worst piece of trash , the worst thing of twd ever probably , mainly because of iris
episode 7-9 - got way better , got interesting , especially the huck twist , things were getting good (except iris)
episode 10 - this is were things got serious , fantastic , what a way to end the season , perfect episode (except iris)
season 2
probably one of the best season of the entire walking dead universe , incredible , the beginning few episodes were a little slow but decent , the 2nd half of the season was one of the best of the twdu , the huck sacrifice was incredible , an incredible season (except iris)
What Type of Boots does Elton wear with his 3 piece corduroy suit?
Are they Red Wing Iron Rangers?
Dropped both World Beyond and Fear, but wanted to finish all the spinoffs before The Ones Who Live. I sped through the first season and very little of it really got me excited for the show, it was a hard watch at times, but the season 2 CRM plot had me by the balls.
Maybe the first season just had my expectations so low that everything else looks great compared to it, but I genuinely enjoyed season 2. Better than a lot that Fear has done after season 3. CRM definitely is the most intriguing thing the franchise has currently. Curious to see what and if the CRM has a future in the franchise after Rick's spinoff.
Wouldn't mind the focus to be on them if they want to keep the franchise going for another decade.
Lyla was most definitely an evil mad scientist for the CRM behind closed doors.
No spoilers past 2x7 pls
My thoughts: A kind, open-minded, and well-mannered lady on the outside; a manipulative, deceptive, and prideful woman on the inside is how I'd describe the CRM's top female scientist and researcher.
I’ve seen this subreddit hasn’t been actively discussing this show since 2021. The discussions always talked about Rick Grimes movies and since movies don’t have a lot of space to include characters from world beyond you didn’t have hope for any characters returning. Thankfully amc changed their plans and decided to make spinoff series instead of movies for Rick and Michonne which will have more space to add different characters related to CRM and eventually the final showdown spinoff that will make Rick and commonwealth go into war with CRM. I don’t think dead city (Negan and Maggie’s spinoff will have anything to do with CRM or world beyond characters even though I was excited when the kids traveled to NY to find their father I thought there’s maybe a way but NY was a trap for Hope and company) Daryl Dixon spinoff would have connections with the post credits scene since we’ve seen madame Genet conducting dangerous experiences on walkers making them fast and aggressive. So who do you think/want to make a return in future projects or at least make cameos or be mentioned in dialogues?
In my opinion
-Jadis must return
-Lieutenant Kubleck and Sylas might return
-Dr Benett and other scientists would be at least mentioned
-Portland as a community might return and might even be the ones who will help Rick and Michonne escape then get them back to Virginia
-there’s no way in hell we will see Hope and her friends again because their arc is finished and they got their happy endings
Honorable mention : I want Huck to be miraculously saved and alive because I loved her knowing that until mid season 2 I hated her guts and wanted Percy to kill her
Edit : - forgot to mention Major General Beale. We will definitely seem him in the ones who live
First of all I watched everything twd related including dead city and Daryl Dixon then the last thing is world beyond.
The show is not half bad actually (maybe I say this because I watched after the last season of fear the walking dead which was a catastrophe)
Also I liked Huck’s character and its development not her accent tho.
The show set us for the ones who live and it’s post credit I guess it makes reference to Daryl Dixon series. I wouldn’t know that if I hadn’t watched Daryl Dixon spinoff before
Huck’s death was justice for the people she killed but I felt bad because she died alone and after all she redeemed herself
Also I hope Silas will have a huge part in the final spinoff that will have Rick and Company fight CRM in an endgame style
I just really feel like these cities need to all collide at some point and I don’t even know if this is possible because are the actors for Rick & Michonne even trying to do anymore after a 6 episode series? Apparently Dead City could get 5 seasons which we literally don’t need, that show has no connection so far to the wider universe, plus 5 seasons would mean multiple years, how about get to what we’ve all been waiting for, for years now. Which is an endgame with CRM, Commonwealth, other large powers, & our main group together and end with civilization being rebuilt by the surviving large powers of the endgame, and the franchise can still carry on for years with new characters, elsewhere in the world where Commonwealth & whoever else’s reach hasn’t touched yet.
