Season 6

Just. Fucking. Run. Away. From the cult. When Dakota arrives, everyone just walks off and leaves them. JUST RUN. Then Teddy hauls them out to the middle of nowhere. JUST RUN. At one point, Alicia tells Cole she has to find out what he's planning. NO YOU DON'T.
The sheer number of dumbass things the writers have characters do because they need them to be dumb even though they are objectively smart is infuriating. The only reason I'm still watching is because I can't just not finish something I started. The writing is damn near borderline abusive to the viewers though.
Hi! First of all, I don't know in what hastag to put this and english it is not my main language. Now coming back to what matters, it is worth watching the seasons left? I don't understand all the stuff that Luciana and Alicia have to make up for, they were fairly good characters, Luciana, in my opinion, overall didn’t wronged anyone, she was in fact wronged when they did not let her stay at the farm because of her race. And Alicia generally speaking, was a good character and not a bad person (also in my opinion, maybe I am biased because I liked both characters). I found Morgan's appearence boring, the way the season was Morgan centered was boring, they changed drastically the characters to make him better, which was such a dumb way to spoil the season.
Also, Martha, holy water, such a poor written character and sooo annoying, her backstory was nothing out of this apocaliptic world and I don't understand Morgans fixation with her, it was stupid. Also, Madison would have take care so quickly of this old crazy woman, but they changed her character and on top of that, killed her off in a scene I could not completly understand.
There were a few scenes a bit off, I don't remember which ones exactly (the episode itself), but I felt them unnecesary or weirdly directed.
Also, why everyone its so forgiving with Charlie? She really messed the Stadium situation, she never helped them and on top of that killed Nick and manipulated everyone. While I guess it's okay to go a bit easy on her because she is in fact a child, they made her sometimes look too innocent when she lit murdered someone, I feel like she is only a child when the directors want.
Also, I understand Nick had to go because the actor did not want to be more in the tv show (I think he did not liked where it was going, which its fair (btw it's only a rumour I read, i don't know what really happened)), but I find it such a pity he had to go, his character was really great and with a kind of unique backstory, the kind of unique backstory from the walking dead, I feel like there he was more suitable than fear the walking dead.
I did liked the new characters, June was okayish, John was pretty cool and Al with her tapes was very interesting.
So, is it worth it keep going? Will they keep spoiling Alicia and Luciana? (my favourite two characters, if it was not obvious) Also, will Strand keep being cool like in season 1-3 or he will keep not shinning like he did in season 4?
Thanks a lot to anyone who read this long writing and comments, sorry for any grammar mistakes.
Have a very good day/night! 🪷
Why did they have to kill John? It feels like since john Dorie died things went to shit. He was probably the only character that got added after the show got different with the camera thing and then they make him die, to a CHILD like she is a child I understand John you think you can do talk no jutsu but John she isn't listening you need to fight or flight rn not talk, then later in his dad gets introduced which ngl john Dorie sr or whatever you'd call him I did like he was a good character but John Dorie was just amazing, his presence made scenes better in my opinion, back to Sr John, s7 comes around and the fact the song playing was the song he'd sing John when John was a kid and he started singing it i said "their gonna kill John Im betting you my guitar" he makes it to Morgan I think I'm gonna keep seeing my boy jds and he shows a bite and I haven't lost a piece of my soul since Nick, I lost a part of my soul. I have one part of my soul left. don't kill Alicia please.
What ever happened to the El bazaar? I don't know if I zoned it out and I forgot but I don't think they ever said If it was overrun or something does anyone know?
This supposed massive sprawling community which was to supposed to have take MANY children sends like a dozen prefects to chase the the people they think will take the island? Along with this, was there only like 8 soldiers there originally to protect the politicians? And then in the end this supposed massive community…all fit on a cargo ship, which don’t even carry 50 people, so was the true size of P.A.D.R.E just straight tiny? And also, in the years that thousands of walkers were in the shipyard they never busted through the rinky dinky chain link fence? And people in Texas were hearing about P.A.D.R.E even tho it’s IN GEORGIA, and then in the end they all just pack up and go to random coordinates that were made over a decade earlier, so long to where the location may be completely destroyed?
Can a walker speak and act normal before rotting further.
By they i mean Sarah, Wendell, Kessner etc. Like at first they were deemed dead by the starvation after refusing victor's help but now the wiki fandom shows them as alive?
I love John so much I am too attached to this character 😭 also I have always loved strand. I don’t know why even in the beginning, even after the situation with the proctor or whoever. So I feel stupid for being surprised he’s going full blown evil with Virginia but I’m still upset about it too
i’m sure this has been said a million times but i am always shocked at the actor cameos in twd. audiences must’ve gone crazy seeing noel fisher when this all aired the first time on tv
I have recently begun watching this show and as I'm writing this I'm on S2Ep3. I'm just curious about certain things and this post is basically gonna be my thoughts so far. (I've watched all of the walking dead btw)
I know this early in the show there won't be much. And I know morgan comes along at some point.
There are definitely some interesting characters as of now. I honestly like Strand, he's an asshole, but a likeable asshole kinda like how Negan was. Nick lowkey might be my favorite, he just discovered the walker "camo".
Everybody wandering off on their own is super annoying. Like it happens too often. The general lack of common sense and survival instincts is also annoying. I understand it being early on and the characters need to grow in some way though.
I just finished season 6.
What in the world happened?!?! The season started out strong. Then at some point it just got weird. The directing seemed to have changed back to what I didn’t like in seasons 4-5. The writing took a nosedive. Some characters we hardly got to see.
It’s as if someone higher up said, You are making the show too good. Go back to being cheesy and not making a whole lot of sense.
WTF Strand?!? Get the feeling there is going to be a Strand versus Morgan for season 7. What have they done to Daniel? Luciana is just there. I had forgotten about Charlie and the Rabi until they show up to say a few long. John’s death was well done but I hated that it happened. Though I now understand the actor wanted out. I honestly could care less about Sherry. Found Dwight more interesting without her tagging along. Al had no real direction.
I know with the pandemic, they needed to rework certain ways to film but overall season 6 just landed as a dud in the last half for me.
And yes, I will still watch the last seasons. May as well.
SPOILER ALERT
I CANT STAND HER. SINCE SEASON 1. I've tried to like her character but i... I just can't. She does shit she wants not thinking about anyone else or what it will cost. Like when she turns the lights on at the hotel for everyone to see and acts as if it wasn't a big deal. People show up at the gates talking about I'm sorry it was a mistake. UGH!! She shows up & another important character dies! I'm on season 8. She never died which I KNEW, cause they never technically showed her dead. I was so happy when they ended her appearance a few seasons back. But here she comes in season 8 doing reckless shit without thinking, then changing her mind last second but it's already in motion. She sent Charlie to kill Troy to pay back for Nick's death then Charlie dies. Through all her BS no one tells her crap until Daniel finally tells her she's the reason people he cared about died. I just can't stand this Character. I also disliked her in Son's of Anarchy when she plays Collette & sleeps with Jax & Tara catches him so maybe I just dislike the actor too LOL but am I the only one who is so annoyed with her & wish she was actually killed off? I'm so upset the killed Nick off, he was a great Character & would've been amazing along with Alicia. Ok, rant over...
And well, I wouldn't mind either because I didn't care about any new characters and they made Alicia a wallpaper. The only exception is Madison's scenes, which were the most interesting to me during season 8. She's definitely the soul of this show.
Is it just me or is she (Madison Clark/the mom) one of the least expressive characters/actors I’ve ever seen? I feel like I don’t normally even pay that much attention to acting (if anything I care about writing) and yet I see almost no fear, relief, or any emotion come across her face. Maybe that’s the idea. But I feel so unmoved, especially by a character with children at stake.
I got bored of TWD by season 7 and made it to 9 before giving up and trying this. I realize it’s not necessary to go posting on the internet about every single feeling but I just want to know if other people also felt like FTWD could’ve been improved by finding an actor who was more capable of showing the intense emotions inherent with this apocalypse.
I am not an actor so obvi can’t critique that much. I just can’t help but noticing I never saw true desperation/torture/joy in this character.
I’m currently on season 3, episode 12 and I hate how Luciana’s character just disappeared. I don’t mean that I am mad that she left the ranch. I just kinda don’t like how they are not following her story. When Ofelia left the hotel we got to slightly track her throughout the story with little scenes but we don’t even see that with Luciana which is kinda sad because I really like her character. I saw some slight spoilers that say she gets less and less screen later on which makes me upset too because her character is pretty badass.
So I'm watching season 2 plz no spoilers( I know it's been years but plz no) and just saw the wedding scene at the start of the ep
My question is How long had the dead been coming back and how wern't more people aware of it cos if I knew there was a pandemic And people were dying and coming back I ain't having a wedding
So Morgan went looking for Alexandria again, but in S8 E9 June Dwight and Cherry are back at the sanctuary, isnt the sanctuary super close to alexandria? So they got all the way there before morgan?
Which episode is the one where the lady gets bit so in an attempt to protect her child she gags herself ties the child to her back and the dog around her waist? I kinda leisure watch the show with my mom from time to time so I haven’t ever seen the whole thing beginning to end but I saw a clip of this scene on a Facebook reel and would like to watch that specific episode.
It's a shame that under both Erickson and G&C, they would eventually separate.
Just started season 8 and watched the first 5 minutes of the second episode before going to bed. June has always been a solid character throughout the show in general but what I saw of her in the first five minutes of episode 2?!? I'm beyond excited and hope they don't mess up her character like they have done with all the other mains. I've heard that season 8 is one big joke but I'll be okay as long as June stays the badass she is 😂
This is my first time watch Fear the Walking Dead. I’m currently on ep 2 s1.
I couldn’t help but notice when Matt is getting sick, he seems to have such resignation in his eyes. Like he knows that he’s turning into a zombie. But doesn’t want to worry Alicia. Not sure if the term “zombie” isnt used in the FRWD like it isn’t in TWD. But I can’t help but wonder.
I know he isn’t a major character but my sleep deprived curiosity is getting the better of me.
I decided to watch Fear because I wanted to see how the apocalypse unfolded, I’m currently on episode 4 and I realized, it’s pretty clear that the dead reanimate regardless of whether they’ve been bitten or are sick or not. It’s also implied that this is how a lot of—if not most—the cases started.
So how come no one in Rick’s party in TWD (classic) realized they come back in this way until the Shane incident? He was the only one who was unconscious at the start of the apocalypse, the rest lived through it.
I don't know if it was stupid to tag this post with a spoiler warning but why was this particular vehicle always somehow kept in story throughout the whole reboot era? Was it really that interesting part of the show that it outlived so many characters and survived it? I get it was Al's personal character trait to have this vehicle with her at all times but doesn't the idea of her losing it for good (keeping in mind that she lost it plenty times but got it back in the end always) at some point sound kinda like a cool idea? Maybe she would've forgotten to take her camera with her and left it in the truck, so it would've been gone for good with it too. And maybe she could've been a character without a camera or a truck that has a real contribution to the story and that we can care about. I thought it would've been gone by season 7 but somehow they did everything they could and created the cringiest side characters of all time to write the goddamn truck back into the story in season 8. Real effort put into it here. I guess it was to make the audience feel nostalgic and take them back to the good old days of season 4. Right? Sometimes I genuinely think these guys have no idea how the media feels about their show.
