Season 6
/r/FearTheWalkingDead
From how much the Erickson era is consistently praised on here I was expecting a hell of a lot better quality than what I ended up getting. Season 3 I agree with everyone is EASILY among the best TWDU material to have ever been released, it ranks alongside my all-time favorite TWD Seasons (1-2, 4 and 9). Fear Seasons 1-2 though are absolutely nowhere near the same level, I honestly slogged through them. I appreciated Erickson's vision but the writing and acting were just atrocious. Not as mind-numbingly bad as what I had to suffer through with most of the Chambliss and Goldberg era (save for 6 which I really enjoyed except for that awful Grace bottle episode) but still a slog nonetheless. Season 1 was so tonally inconsistent it felt like two entirely different shows between its first and last three epsiodes. Season 2 was just downright banal for the most part I literally couldn't have given less of a shit about the going-ons in the Colonia/Hotel during the second half. The first half was bizarrely all over the palce too with its boat-adventure-of-the-week format for the first few episodes then a mini pirates arc then an uninspired mini Hershel's Farm redux arc. To be honest the Chris/Travis subplot was the only genuinely compelling and well-written aspect of the season I found.
How did people react initially to hearing the TWD and Fear would cross over? Like when the news first came out? Were you excited, wary of the change of showrunners? Just curious...
Honestly i kinda like the show but damn sometime they are just an insane plot armor, and plot action.
Mainly the death of the "highway gang" that make me laught a lot given it's low serie B level at best.
The number of time where the family found themself again back to back.
And lastly the "reason" why the people from the hotel throw away all logic for no reason. I was facepalming all the way to the end in the last episode, it feel very forced at best.
For the good thing, i very enjoyed the way it show a quit realistic start of the appocalypse, and how some comunity could react to it the mexican indeed have a lot of particuliar thing related to their dead, so i wouldnt be suprised if some of them would react like that, the way some would want to die too like the guy in the island, how the group of teens would keep killing his member when they think they was nothing they could do, how military team could mess up, and how rioter and the global population would react in the start, etc, all in all a nice serie if you dont watch some episode that are just too stupid.
That suck tbh this serie could have a succes nearly as good a the main one if it was better writted, talk about the start of the epidemie is a great change compared to the main show, too bad they didnt spent enough time on the stuff of random people do.
Like covering yourself in zombie guts, the first scene in the main show was great, with protective clothe to put the blood and gut on, with part of the body inside of say clothes, and the fact it become useless in 5 second if it start to rain, cause damn in that show you just cut a zombie neck and cover your self a bit with his blood and he will forget 10 second later that you was here, it's a detail but given the number of time it happend it hard to miss it.
They are probably a shit ton of mistake in my post, i'm french and i learn english thank to video game so sorry in advance.
So we all have seen how there were a bunch of scenes where guy and girl came together in this series rt?
Well I just found out that dwight and morgan are really lucky cause in this series there is a curse where if a girl and boy comes together as a couple or get married or were already married, the male dies.
Take these for example :- John and June - John died, Ali and charlie - Ali died, Will and alicia - will died, Nick and luciana - Nick died, Stephen clark/ Travis Manawa and Madison clark - Stephen clark and Travis Manawa died, Isaac and Rachel - Isaac died (first atleast), Mathew and Grace - Mathew died, Fred and Bea - Fred died.... I can just keep going at this point
i swear i think itās the last time they kill a dog then the next episode they kill MORE. WTF
Rewatching the show as my mum and sister are watching it for the first time. Currently on episode 5 season 5 and christ am I boredš I genuinely don't know what the plot of this season is...they're all just walking around talking about nothing important. I remember not liking this season and hating 6 so wish me luck haha. I actually didn't mind 7 and 8 despite their flaws so can't wait to get to them lol.
But for real, what is this season about??š
(Itās classed as a spoiler just in case someone hasnāt seen him yet but I donāt see the point of being on here if you havenāt finished it)
I forgot how incredible the beginning of this show is! Iāve only made it through the season 5 finale so far I think. But Iām currently doing a rewatch to catch back up.
I personally feel like the early seasons are the strongest! Though obviously I havenāt seen all of them yet.
So Iām curious what everyoneās favorite season is most recent seasons included? No spoilers past season 5 please!
I think season 1 and 2 are my favorite, but most likely 1.
Edit: wanted to edit since Iām officially in season 2 for my rewatch. I forgot how short season 1 actually is. So I think season 2 is probably my favorite season, but 3 is also great!
I love most of the show and it be great in my collection
I really donāt get it. They did the same thing in the later seasons of the main show and it just makes it so much harder to watch. Why not stick with the OG style? Thatās what so many people loved about these shows at the beginning.
Do you think Travis turned when he jumped out of the helicopter? Weāve seen people fall from high distances that still reanimated
My friend got me into Fear, a very underrated show according to him. At first, it felt very slow and different from TWD which I was used to. But. Oh. My. GOODNESS. Just came off the high of the freaking masterpiece of the season 3 ending, got 3 episodes into season 4, and told my friend I was not watching anymore of Morgan and Friends.
RIP Fear. You will forever be one of my favorite shows.
āWe gotta do thisā āwe gotta do thatā. Lol every time he talks it sounds like heās talking to a bunch of kids. Heās the leader or whatever so I get it but itās just funny
I just finished Season 3 of FTWD and wtf how is this show so amazing? I loved season 1, liked Season 2 and absolutely adored season 3. Literally every single character goes through great development (except Travis, that pissed me off, but it was still a shocking scene), the dynamics between the Vlaek family and the Otto family is crazy well written (damn I love Nick and Troy this season) and it was in general just so much more creative, original and fun than TWD has ever been. And omg that finale, literally cant wait how its going to play out in Season 4. I love them all, Nick, Alicia, Madison, Daniel, Walker, Crazy Dog. This right here is peak TWD.
Gonna watch Season 4 tomorrow, the hype is real. Pls no spoilers in the comments
Iām on season 7 of FTWD and honestly getting really tired of a few character subplots;
Daniel losing his memory every season feels boring and honestly a cheap cop out for his character.
Alicia being ill for the entire season, great she got bit and lost her arm, the constant passing out in important situations bugs me a lot and again feels like a cheap slip for writers to save the day.
Strand - Iām not being funny he was a business man, should have been killed off in S3 before all this tower nonsense. Constantly being forgiven despite everything heās done is a joke.
I donāt know about you guys but Iāve genuinely considered stopping watching at this point. Even TWD wasnāt this bad as continuing to insane storyline over and over.
For me, I would not have brought Morgan over from the main show since he took time away from our main protagonists.
Currently taking my first watch through. Just hit season 4. I love John Dorie so much. He deserves the world <33 Leave an upvote if you love John Dorie too
Is this the producer trying to justify why his show SUCKED? Literally all he had to do was work on character growth with Morgan and Dwight. Build on the CRM and figure out how to intertwine the series.
Im watching season 5 right now. Not very enyojable but I heard some people like season 6 so im pushing through but that's beside the point. I realized walkers are being killed by the smallest of hits/stabs to the head and even tho it doesn't reach the brain they still die. Really takes out a lot of the danger from them even if there wasn't much to begin with. I don't remember feeling like this when watching the walking dead. Anyone agree ?

The CRM was honestly useless. Morgan and the others never bring them up after their forst encounters. I feel that everything with the CRM in Fear was just a waste and a subplot for Al.
Their werenāt too many intentional funny moments but my favorite was when Teddy and Dakota are driving in the car and Morganās Message comes on the radio. āTch Idiotā turns off radio
The scene when Athena and Grace are having a serious talk in the dream sequence and theirs a random Walker in the background trying hard to reach for something in the air.
The scene where Troy pops up in Nickās cabin on the ranch and locks him out in the middle of the night.
When Wendell first meets Morgan and finds him using the toilet.
Is The Walking Dead TV show its own thing from the game or is it the same events but different characters?
