Anyone know if military police have jurisdiction over spur 601?

If I were to speed on that road would the military police have authority to stop me?

Has anyone here ever been to a run for it event? I’ve been wanting to go but none of my friends are into running. Wondering what the experience is like for newcomers.

Cheap walk-in doctor recommendations without insurance?

My parents recently came to el paso with a tourist visa. As they are elderly, they migh need some medical checkup in near future. Any recommendations where I can walk in with cash for checkup? I have also moved here this fall for my graduate school, don't know much about the healthcare here.

Blue Alert at 4:00 AM?

Did anyone else get this?

It’s ridiculous and a clear abuse of the system.

You can report these shenanigans here:

Circle K

Anybody ever notice that Gas prices during the day fluctuate a lot? Early in the morning Circle K is cheap and I notice around 5pm the price picks up. As opposed to Sam’s club where yesterday it was $2.60 as is today.

Does anyone else notice this surge pricing?

No country or reggaeton, please. No hate towards it we’ve just done enough of those. Just looking for something different or somewhere that has more variety. Thanks!

Visiting El Paso for a day and looking for things to do

Me and my brother are traveling from California to NC and one of the stops were making is in El Paso. We’ll only be there for the afternoon and night so just looking for a few must-do things in the area. Any good restaurants or bars? Also we love a good escape room if anyone has a recommendation. Thank you!

Just in case you need help with restoring your driver’s license

There’s a free clinic coming up for that. This odd super important right note during election time. Pass on the info to those who might need it.

stop bringing your toddler or neonate to the dog park

I am not sure why this needs to be said.

Had this issue at alethea park today. My dog loves kids and loves going up to them. Today, she was let off leash in the dog park and ran up to some toddler and knocked them over. When we are in non-dog park public space, she is on her leash, she is always redirected whenever she sees a kid and tries to go up to them. There are plenty of human parks in el paso. I feel terrible that my dog scared your kid, but your kid should not be here in the first place. Please be more considerate in public. dog parks are not toddler or neonate friendly. WHY do I need this extra layer of stress, I'm out here just trying to provide some quality time for my dog. I am already watching out for dogs that sometimes play too rough, and I need to intervene. I am not obligated nor do I have energy to deal with your kid.

Most importantly, this kid's mother did not even come with a dog. What the hell? Please go to a kid park/normal park. I would be completely in the wrong if my dog knocked your kid over in a regular park and would be profusely apologizing. I would understand it more if you had to walk your dog and you cannot find childcare, so you walk them at the same time. But just to walk your kid in a dog park? HELLO?

This is honestly not the first time we encountered weirdos with their strange ideas. We were in a doggie training class for my dog in petsmart, and some pair of parents literally brought their kid up to us, letting their kid loose and run up to a group of strange dogs IN THE MIDDLE OF A CLASS. They didn't ask permission. Didn't ask - hey does your dog bite? is your dog friendly? like...what?! Spoke to our trainer afterwards about this and we had a laugh about how some people just don't have an organized thought process. Just...think twice before you act. Your actions not only have consequence on yourself, but also on your "precious" toddler.

Sincerely,

a frustrated dog parent

Honest Question for El Paso: What Could Real Estate Agents Do Better?

Hey El Paso!

I know real estate agents can sometimes get a bad rep, and I totally understand some of the frustrations out there. I’m a local agent, and I want to hear from you—what would make the home-buying or selling process better for you? What do you think agents could do differently or improve on? And what would you like to see less of?

I’m open to any feedback—good or bad—and really want to understand what matters most to the community. Thanks in advance for any insights you’re willing to share!

Is there anywhere I could find pictures of how the city looked before i10 was built?

Personally I feel like a freeway in the middle of the city ruined it and would like to see how it looked before.
