As we know utep its a comuter campus once the classes are done many leave and the campus quickly becomes empty, but its it the same at UT Austin? Or there is more campus life in there ?
Did anyone else receive an email saying there is tickets for sale for "students leaders"? I don't know if it's a scam. It's for the next year's Coldplay Concert in the sun bowl
Did anyone else get an email saying that their classes have all been dropped? I had a feeling it was a scam but I almost clicked on it and was wondering if anyone else saw it and I'm not going crazy?
i’m askin around if there’s some sort of architecture type of major in utep or something that’s similar
Does anyone know how late some of the buildings stay open? I like to study in the library because its open late but I want to get a change of scenery. Where are some of your favorite places to study?
Hey everyone! I’m a new student transferring in at the start of 2025. I’m seeing parking passes are extremely …limited… at the moment. For the passes that are far from main campus (eg: green), are there shuttles that run from those lots to campus? Carpooling isn’t really an option for me (older military wife/mother living on westside) and I kind of need a parking permit. 😬
Can anyone explain how Paydirt promise works? I am eligible to receive financial aid already and get a decent refund. With this promise does that mean I pocket all of my Pell Grant?
Hi! I'm starting on spring 2025 and I'm looking at the options to live in El Paso near UTEP. I am interested in university housing, but when I see the prices they are per semester. My question is: does the semester cover part of the summer? or is it only 4 months?
Thank you!
I'm not a UTEP student, but I go to college on the east coast. Just got an intern offer from WSMR (Las Cruces NM) so I was wondering if UTEP has student housing for the summer for non-UTEP students. I'm the only intern so it would be hard to find and share an apartment which is why I'd prefer student housing on some kind of campus. Any advice is appreciated!
Do we get discounts as students? If so how do take advantage of it.
is this possible?
Hello I am writting this post because I am curiouse about how is the campus at night I have never been her past 7 but how is usually like at 10 or even 12? Is all close ?
I wanted to hear your guy's experience, if you liked, had any tips, things you wish you knew before, etc.
Did anyone watch the new Overlord movie? I have no one to talk to about it.😭
Gonna need this if we lose to Kennesaw State Tmrw
Hello I have two options for the spring semester Dr. Bañuelos and Dr.Manciu
Which one is better and why?
Does anyone know why in utep and probably in most universities there is no difference for gpa between 90 and 100?
I get we are struggling in football. But why does our basketball attendance suck? We need to show up for our team as there is nothing else to do in El Paso.
How do you guys make friends? :( I can't seem to make any... I'm lonely.
I see all these groups of friends just having the times of their lives at college and I really don't want to be excluded.. It's hard to make friends out there because people you meet in class you might not see them again anymore next semester. And it's even hard making friends in class as well. It's hard approaching people too, especially interesting pretty people like yall, I just find you really intimidating and impossible to apprach for some reason. I genuinely just see every guy and girl with their groups of friends already established and I don't know I kinda wish I had something like that. I really don't wanna fall behind and stay alone cuz I feel I'm missing out on so much. :c
Is there gonna be anything like a watch party in town?
is biochem a hard class? CHEM 3330? For reference, I have been to two top colleges in the country, both of which are currently ranked in the top 50. Should I add it to my course load? Would be 24 total credits. Would take it with Bernal, Ricardo. any reviews appreciated
Is anybody running the miner dash ?? For those who have ran it before, do a lot of people sign up for it or not?
I had a couple questions if anyone has gone through this program and could help out! How is the program in general? Are the classes completely asynchronous since I am going to be working full time? How long does the program take to complete on average? How are the exams, how are they proctored? And how are the professors for the courses?
Don't care what it's about , don't care if the class is boring. Just easy classes for section C6 on degree plan. any subject matter works, 3000 or 4k course
Does anyone know what's going on at the Sun Bowl parking garage? A helicopter has been hovering over it for the last 20 minutes and it's surrounded by police cars
So as of now, this is my schedule for Spring 2025.
I wanted to switch out the Inquiry to science/math (which is a core requirement, super easy) and take biochem instead. this is 24 total credits. Please let me know if you thik this is doable. In my experience at UTEP, it was a pretty easy school. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. I am a Biomed Science major. How hard is BioChem at UTEP? Just need a C, not trying to get all As.

If a water fountain is broken, I can send a request to maintenance to fix it. Is there such a thing for library room 300?
We had an exam which needed calculators but half of the class (not me, thankfully) couldn't get a calculator from them because they ran out.
