Does anyone know about how long it takes for a utep loan to process?
Did anyone here get their refund stolen through a phishing scam?
I have been contacting the university about this issue. I do not recall opening any fishy emails or giving my information away.
And now the University is claiming that I was a victim of a phishing scam. I doubt I'll even see the money, as the university seems to be throwing us under the bus.
Is anyone experiencing this issue? Is there anything we can about? Besides filing a claim with the FBI.
I’m getting out of the army to go to nursing school next year. But my cumulative GPA isn’t great and definitely not good enough for nursing school. If I’m a UTEP student they’ll look at that GPA, is it ok to just do like 2 classes online in something to have a good UTEP GPA and then apply?
¡Hola chicos!

Hi! I have a zoom class before an in-person class and was wondering if anyone knows a quiet place where I can go. My class is in the education building. I usually go to the library but I need to be able to speak during my zoom class and I feel a bit awkward doing so in an open area with people nearby (it’s a spanish class (i can’t even speak it)). I heard there’s study rooms, but does anyone know where they are or how to get one?
Just got a nice lil parking ticket because I don’t have a permit, only issue is the parking.utep.edu website is only showing parking permits for green lots. Which are on the opposite side of campus from literally everything else. Is there an area nearby I can park without needing a permit?
Hello I writte this message because I am studing a bs in neuroscience at utep to apply to medical school but if that wasn't the case does people that graduate in things like biology or physics have any job opportunities in the area?

So last semester and at the beginning of the year I went to a total of 5 campus job interviews. Nothing special, just front desk positions and helping make activities and stuff. I felt sooo stupid bc 5 fckn interviews and being rejected by ALL of them? It is just a campus job, nothing special ig. I think I did well in my interviews, I practiced some questions, my resume looks good, and I'm capable of doing great work. Everyone I know who works on campus got their job at the first try, but im here being stupid. any tips? I feel frustrated, upset, and angry lol
Hey guys! Tomorrow my schedule is packed. And I have a zoom class 10 minutes after an in person class. Is there anywhere i can go that's quiet and not super crowded?

Hello,
I am a high school student at Socorro High School in El Paso. I am currently enrolled in the Early College program at El Paso Community College. I am in my second semester of junior year and have accumulated 43 credit hours at EPCC. I anticipate graduating with an Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies in December 2025. I will then complete my high school education in June 2026.
I am currently considering transferring to the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Alternatively, I am exploring the possibility of attending another university, such as the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) or Grand Canyon University (GCU).
I think to be eligible for college admission in Texas, students must pass the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam. I passed the TSI Reading and Essay and Mathematics sections during my sophomore year. Therefore, I am confident that I meet the requirement admission to UTEP I have also a 3.8 GPA.
However, I am uncertain about which university would be the most suitable choice for my academic and career goals. I would appreciate any recommendations or insights you may have regarding UTEP’s computer science program and its career opportunities.
Having trouble finding a reliable hair braider/cornrow-er in El Paso. Any info helps. Money ready
I'm going to be doing an internship during the spring and in order to receive only 3 credit hours for it I have to enroll in a class alongside the internship as well. Because the class is only 3 credit hours (I guess that's what 16 weeks of working 40 hours is worth) I won't be fully covered through financial aid like normally.
The total costs is a whopping $1300, mind you I'm not going to be anywhere near UTEP so those $400 of fees (union, library, labs, gym, coaches salary) are more worthless than usual since I won't even be able to make use of the campus. Overall though I have to pay $600 which isn't the end of the world, my internship is paid so thank god, but I think its just overall wack and makes me feel like I'm getting robbed by the educational system more than I'm used to.
I reached out to the offices, Financial Aid and SGS, to hopefully try and get around this mess. If that doesn't work out I'll try to see if the company I'm interning for will cover the costs of school (which I doubt since they're already paying me).
Has anyone ever experienced this as well?? Or better yet has anyone found a way around paying $1300 to not even be taught by anyone while not even being anywhere near campus??

Hello! I’m starting this spring and I already know I want to transfer. I just wanna start somewhere asap so i’m not waiting until the fall, so I chose to start local here. Anybody know how long or how many credits I would need to transfer to a school like NMSU, or even UT Arlington?
