My older brother Mike Glover (BNET Sickness)was a very active member of the hardcore D3 ladder for years. He mostly played Witch Doctor and at his peak he was top 6. Since he loved this community so much, I figured I would post here to let the community know.

On Monday 10/9 at 1:50am we lost him, he passed away due to some health complications. I dont really want to go into the details. If you played with my brother, please feel free to share as he loved playing D3.

My professor (Steven Dashiell) and I are doing some research on diablo 3’s hardcore community and were carrying out some interviews with players about their experience in hardcore and what drives them to keep playing! I just wanted to get the word out in hopes a few of you all would be interested in giving an interview a shot. There’s even a $15 gift card rewarded for participation. Below I will attach the IRB approved interest post, please read over it and shoot Dr.Dashiell an email if you’re interested!

If you answered “yes” to these questions, you are invited to participate in a research study conducted by American University! You will be asked to participate in a 75-minute online interview discussing motivation in hardcore gaming. Participation is voluntary, and the interview is completely anonymous (absolutely no names or identifying info collected as part of the research). I'd like to level from 1 to 70 in a group and do the season journey to get Haedrig's Gift. I'm from Germany, playing DH and I won't open my cache. Anyone who would like to join?

So my roomate and I have been playing SC together for awhile, now we're getting ambitious with HC. However, there's no "Mentor" mode, and it seems like the enemies damage NOT health, is scaled to my lvl 70. Does the enemy damage scaling stop if you're both lvl 70? I have around 600k damage, will the enemies always one-shot my roomate if we play together again?

I started a HC char in season this month, and I could do adventure mode right away. My son started a HC char in non-season, and he has to do the campaign first in HC to unlock the adventure mode. My question is when the season ends, will my seasonal HC char still be able to go straight to adventure mode, or will I have to do the campaign in non-season first? Hoping for the right answer. Doing campaign again will be a pain.

Started playing d3 for the first time since release and I've got my monk decently geared. I went to power level my friend but I'm not sure how to do it as a hardcore character.

I know this is lazy and probably looked down upon, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help rush me to level 70. I'm only making a HC character for the conquest mission for S17. Just thought I'd ask and sorry if this post is offensive to this community and thank you!

Anybody else died due to game freeze on the switch? This just happened to me and it’s maddening... 0% my fault and 100% dev’s fault.

I assume there’s no way to get my character back.
