Anyone have any experience with this? I gather public gyno referrals are still being declined unless it's cancer? Need to recover at home so has to be local unfortunately. Quotes I've seen have varied a bit, does anyone have any semi recent experience nearby? Are there any insurance options without three year standdowns? Does the charity hospital do these? Or is it possible to get pregnant and have hysterectomy with a c-section? Sorry this is crude, please ignore if you aren't here to help.
My Macbook Air is playing silly buggers. Can anyone suggest a trustworthy and high quality Apple product repairer in Christchurch? Thanks
I guess Chris sending photos of human shit finally caught up with them (Took photo parked. Not driving)
What special about today to hear fireworks?
Any got some insight into where, when, and why these scooters popped up overnight?
Just wonder if anyone else has had the same topic of discussion in their household.
When I’m wanting to hear something in the microwave I put my item in, close the door and then press the button to start. When I think it’s done I open the door without pressing the stop button.
I’ve had people make comments that you should press the stop button first before opening but my argument is that it has the same affect. And with my option of you need to further heat the item then the remaining time is still on the clock!
Keen to hear if any of you have the same household debate!
Does anyone know/host any book clubs that are open to younger members? Or is anyone interested in joining one? I'd love to meet some people that also find it hard to make friends if there isn't a set conversation topic :)) This is my first ever reddit post so please take this as a cry for help. cheers
specifically with that crunchy outing and soft insides. I swear Dominos used to do fries like these back in the day but gave in and started doing crinkle cuts
I know, I know. These posts pop up once a month. But seriously, what are the anxiety-friendly ways to meet someone in chch? I don't think I'm horrifically ugly, but women on the dating apps must think so because I get literally zero matches. I struggle majorly with social anxiety, especially in groups, so the thought of joining some sort of meetup type club terrifies me. That being said, I think I shine one-on-one, and like to think that I'm a pretty interesting and genuine person.
I'm a research masters student at UC, I love reading, talking about reading, reading about history, talking about reading about history, and like to chat about the problems of the world. The clubs at uni are all full of early 20-somethings and each time I've joined I've felt like an outcast.
Ladies, where are you?
/Selwyn st. Drove past around 45mins ago and there was about 6 police cars and cops directing traffic
I'm wondering if anyone knew of any clothing stores here that sell men's jeans that are both sustainably and ethically made.
I've struggled with the search results, either it ignores the word ethical, mens, or jeans, or it goes to far away places that I can't visit to try some on.
How soon(if at all)will clothing manufacturers be affected by the tariffs? If we get increased tariffs here, will that mean any clothing manufacturers sending New Zealand wool to China to make clothes and then having the completed merino clothing sent back will be a lot more expensive then they already are? Mons royale is already over $200 for one top..
Hello chch
I am moving to Aus this coming March (shocker), and have a car (1989 corolla) I really want to keep.
I have a quote from Parks Towing for 150 a month uncovered and was really wondering if that's the best I will get? Realistically I just need to throw it in the corner of a paddock and come get it once a year to drive at Christmas. Any suggestions/advice would be lovely.
Thanks
So I was talking to my friend (from out of chch) about potentially sending my child to a private school, partially due to being out of zone for, from what I understand is no longer a thing, a high decile school. She just asked the "why are we so obsessed with which school we go to" stereotype. I dont have an answer other than future nepotism. Can you lovely people enlighten me?
Hey all, just checking to see if any of you have any recommendations for a rebuttable company to get my PADI open water diving certification?
My partner and I just love the look of a Brooksfield. It would be a few years away yet as we currently have our on property we’re living in.
Are Brooksfield quality? They have a high price tag from what I can tell - does anyone here live or own one? Do they have a nice fit and finish on them? Are they finished to a high standard meaning you don’t need to really call anyone back to fix anything?
Or is the high price tag because of the style of them?
Hi there, I'm just new to Chch and need to get a pair of black trainers or sneakers, where where could you recommend I go for a reasonable price? Thanks in advance
Never seen so many doing it, and very recently on main roads too.
Edit: "incoming travel"? For Taylor's sake learn to proof read
Does anybody remember an indoor netball/maybe football place in Christchurch in the 90s 00s, my babysitter used to take me there as a kid and I remember exploring upstairs etc was a very old building, I remember it had a bar of sorts and red carpet if that helps. Probably earthquake demolished by now but any help would be appreciated
Kia ora all,

Is there any emo/scene/goth/punk, ect. Alternative scene type of events? Any shows or groups? Thanks
On the hunt for it. Website says that there is none in Christchurch. Can anyone confirm or better yet, tell me where I might find it? Tia
I had a look online but couldn't find anything interesting. Is there something cool going on today around Chch, or what do you do? I've got zero ideas. Almost every sort of activity, included outdoors, would be fine to kill my boredom. Tia
Edit: Thanks everyone!!
Hey folks,

My family of 4 found it very challenging to get into a 3brm rental a couple of years ago. Can anyone tell me if its easier to get into a rental ATM? I'm not sure I want the stress again if its still a battle.
