Hey! My wife and I are considering moving to Casper. I've lived in NC most of my life and we really want something different as the city we live in has become insane and too big. We spent some time in Casper this August to check it out and we really liked it. I love cold weather and outdoor activities, but my wife isn't so fond. Are the winters as bad as people say? How is the drivability during the winter snow storms? Having not spent too much time in an area that gets the snow you get there; am I going to get my ass kicked?
We have a family member that is starting home hospice. We are looking for a private sitter to help her with things during the day. Are there any companies that anyone has used in town we should look at. Or someone you would recommend
Not sure if this is allowed here, as far as a know it legal. But im looking for a place to get kratom thats easy on the stomach. Ideally somewhere /someone that has different kinds. Thanks.
Hi all! We are looking at moving out relatively soon, and an apartment at Alpine Meadows has caught our eye. Most of their recent reviews have been good, but I’ve also heard about roaches/bed bugs in the past. The apartment looked pretty great honestly, but I don’t want to move our whole life into a place that’s infested and have to throw out everything we have. The apartment was in Building “B” I believe.
Also curious about the utility situation. I’m under the understanding it’s all utilities split amongst the residents in each building (minus electric). Just curious what that usually runs monthly.
We make far too much for any of the income restricted places around town, but juuuuuust not quite enough to warrant spending the rent amounts at Blackmore, The Preserves, or Granite 550. So any other recommendations are greatly appreciated!
The one abandoned and covered in Russian Olives.
Joshua’s Storehouse remains in operation. Thrift store next door to the former Poverty Resistance is accepting the community’s empty plastic bags.
I feel like I hear him all the time and I’m getting sick of it.
Are there are low stakes rec leagues in town? Ultimate frisbee? Soccer? Tennis?
Looking for a flat trail to run any recommendations?
Best place in Casper for dinner and a couple cocktails. I’m staying this evening due to a work trip. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I was wondering what everyone's favorite restaurants are. Non-fastfood other then that I'm interested in what you all would recommend. Thank you have a good one
Anyone got experience surfing this wave or one of the others on the Platte? Curious what type board and how to best get into the wave.
Hey, visiting from out of town and was hoping to play some bar trivia tonight but not finding anything on Google. Any places running a game tonight?
Does anyone know where I can buy some Polly-O string cheese in Casper?
As the title states I’m moving and looking to open a diesel shop from light to heavy duty. Looking for input on areas I was thinking either Gillette or Casper or possibly Laramie? Does anyone have any input? Also will need housing
I’ve just gotten back to town, and see this “Snack Shack” in the old Java Jitters in Hilltop. What is it?!? There’s nothing online about it.
Is anyone in Casper interested in having at least some open captioned (on-screen subtitles) screenings in Casper? Currently, Wyoming is the only state without a movie theater offering open captions. Since the Wyomovies chain is not going to be offering open captions anytime soon, the purpose of this post is just to get an idea of how much interest there is in having open captions in Casper. Open captions aren't just for people with hearing loss; captions also benefit people with autism, attention deficit disorder, auditory processing disorder, dyslexia, some learning disabilities, down syndrome, veterans, seniors just starting to lose hearing, those learning English as a second language, kids learning to read, noise sensitive, and people who have challenges understanding actors (Christopher Nolan, anyone?). Plus, many people just simply like captions, especially young people who are used to subtitles because of streaming and videos. And many if not most, people have the closed captions on their TV at home all the time nowadays.
I'm moving to Casper and I was wondering if there's any kind of hardcore music scene. So far what I've noticed isnt my vibe lol
We’ve seen several of these bugs in our home? What are they? Are they dangerous? How do we prevent them?
New to the area who would you recommend as a reliable shop to service my 2010 Outback? TY
Best auto shop for an AC recharge? Trying to get ~$100 price
So far:
Fremont Dealership: $175
Firestone: $205
I've lived here 10 years and never made it out there. Today I finally did. As is so close to the Platte I figured rig for trout. Some other people came around and said only bluegill, bass (assuming small mouth) and carp. So my question for the reddit group is.... is that the case? If so what's good bait? I didn't take worms with me but seen a bunch of empty containers so I'm guessing worms. A lady from Minnesota who has county 4 plates said rattle reels? I think she meant rattle lures though. I'm open to any info on that pond or how to fish it. Thanks!
Looking for somewhere to camp Friday and Saturday night, hopefully dispersed camping but also open to paid sites. Also wondering how quickly they fill up?
My wife and I moved here two years ago, and are looking for other couples to make friends with. Really to join a community. Any suggestions.
