I just got diagnosed with Celiac disease. While I'm adjusting to my new dietary changes, I'm wondering if there are any restaurants that have a good gluten free menu that tastes good and any place I should avoid. TIA
Anyone have an extra ticket? Wwaited too long and now it's sold out 😢
Hello all, I just booked a trip out to the resort to learn how to snowboard in a week or so. I am just looking for any information/recommendations on stuff to do and places to explore when I am off the mountain? I will be there for 4 days, at least 2 planned on the mountain as of now. Any information would be greatly appreciated, I’m very excited to explore this part of the country!
Looks like JH is at about 70% of average snowpack for this time of year. Looks like it’s gonna be dry and warm for another week or so, then looks to be active and cool for mid-late december. I do get that we have the snowiest months of the season ahead of us. Anyone concerned with the lack of snow so far, or nah?
Looking to return in May. Any tips for getting employment with housing? I'm a 64yo retired aircraft mechanic. I can do anything including work well with customers. My only requirement is a couple of days off every week to explore and do photography. Any help would be much appreciated. Hope to see you soon!!!
I figure we could Uber for the couple of days that were gonna go out to dinner or run around. Were staying at the Jackson Hall ski resort.
I played in the past but stopped and looking to play again. Are people still playing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays? Thx!
Read Yelp/TripAdvisor/Expedia all have very mixed reviews. Leaning toward Old West Transportation???
I'm visiting Jackson Hole for the first time early this Dec as part of a road trip to see my cousin in Bozeman, then loop around to Grand Tetons. I know it's early season, will be bringing my rocks snowboard. What lifts and runs typically open first in the early season? TIA!
I have a big bag of women’s clothes that I’d like to get rid of. It’s all pretty decent quality. Looking for the most simple and ways way to get rid of it. Does browse n buy go through every article and make you take back what it doesn’t accept? Where is the Good Samaritan mission that I’ve heard is another donation option? Thanks!
We are heading to Jackson home for Christmas. Would love recommendations for Christmas service. We go to a community church back home. Thank you in advance.
Hello! Does anyone have any good recommendations for spots to walk your dogs in the winter? I’m starting to get tired of the same trail near our house… 🤣
Thanks for any suggestions!
Anyone have a good bike fitter they’d recommend? Willing to travel up to Idaho falls at the furthest if they are worth it. I had a basic bike fit done a while ago, but I’m trying to get one much more dialed.
I normally do almost entirely mountain biking, but trying to put a lot of miles in on the trainer this winter and I’m quickly realizing with all the miles, my fit being just even slightly off on the trainer is becoming noticeable at such volume and I’m trying to avoid injuries. Usually MTBing I’m moving around quite a bit so the fit isn’t nearly as important, but spinning hours and hours in the same position seems to be quickly adding up.
Hi - visiting Jackson Hole in mid-Feb with three kids. We are all suitable skiers (intermediate to expert) back east at Stowe, but this is my kids first 'western' experience. What are your trail/lift recommendations, and how would you compare blue/double blues, to trails back east. Thanks!
Hi,
I'm looking for suggestions on the best snowmobile tours in Jackson Hole, particularly those that go into Yellowstone with a guided tour. Could you also recommend the top tour guides or companies? I’ve noticed that some companies are based in Jackson Hole while others are in West Yellowstone, with these being about half the cost.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hello fellow redditors! Traveling to Jackson hole Dec 30 - Jan 3 and looking for a fun snow mobile excursion, preferably a few hours (half day) with a guide as it will be our first time (3 of us total). Don’t necessarily want to go all the way down to Yellowstone (we went 2 years ago so would rather check out areas I’ve never been), was looking at Turpin meadow, JH or maybe granite hot springs. Open to any suggestions, really just looking for a fun option with great scenery and a good guide. Since it’s our first time snow mobiling also would love to hear how much time felt like “enough” time from any past experience. If anyone went with a company they would definitely recommend would love to know. Thank you!
I just moved here for the winter and looking to develop some film but I can’t seem to find a place. Is there anywhere that local with services around here that develop film?
Hello! We are planning a trip to Jackson the last week of march, first week of April. How is the weather at that time? What are some of the best things to do? Any local photographers on here, we are also looking do pictures while we are visiting. It will just be me and my husband. We are planning on staying in cowboy village. Any insight or tips is extremely helpful and appreciated 🤍
Planning a trip to Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons the week before Christmas! Any tips on what to do around the area besides skiing? What are the must-dos around the area during that time? Also, is it better to stay in Jackson or Teton Village? Would love some tips from locals or those who’ve been! Thanks in advance!
We're staying for 5 days in Teton Village. Neither of us have any experience with snow or cold weather like WY. We plan to go on a wildlife guided tour somewhere nearby and possibly driving to Yellowstone, although the south entrance might be closed. At this point I'm just trying to figure out what winter gear we're going to need?
Mittens Gloves Long johns Wool socks Waterproof jacket Jeans Boots
So this list x2 is going to be a lot...do I need all of this? If we plan on only being in cold ass weather like this for 5 days? This might sound stupid but should we consider renting any apparel/boots/..
BF and I will be staying at the Teton Mountain Lodge for 6 days the 3rd week of January. He’s a long time snowboarder and will spend most of the morning/afternoon doing that. I’m starting to look into activities for me to do when he’s out. I like outdoor activities (just not a skiing/snowboarding), horseback riding, museums, art galleries, sight seeing, animals. If anyone has anything they’d recommend, thanks!
Simple question; out of y’all who commute over the pass, how many of y’all use studded tires vs just snow tires like blizzaks? Just curious!
