Hey guys.Im looking for a budget speaker(around €100)and my main criteria would be sound quality. As i looked into it mostly soundcore popped up,especially the motion series(mostly motion+ and motion 300),and harman kardon.Id mainly listen to hip-hop,so bass would be kinda essential.Id appriciate it if you could recommend me something, doesnt even have to be soundcore, just affordable with good sound quality and bass. Thanks Edit:being very loud isnt that important either.
I cant decide whether I should buy a smaller, more portable speaker for outdoors when im in my backyard instead of lugging around my partybox 100. Its for my personal use and i usually dont need crazy loud sound, but i appreciate good sounding speakers. If i do buy ome, id prefer to not spend a whole lot, under $100 preferably.
Im looking for a speaker that sounds good and is relatively portable, and im torn between these 2. It'll also be used outside and in the shower.
People often say the motion plus has outdated features, but which are they? Does that make the 300 a better option?
I also want to use it for the beach, not needing to be super loud but loud enough for me and some mates to listen.
Price doesnt really matter as the 300 is 80aud and the plus is 110 aud
I'm looking for a bluetooth speaker that I could use to connect to my TV for shows or phone for music. If it's portable that would be nice, but I likely won't bring it outside my home.
My big gripe with speakers nowadays is the included voice activated features, which means microphones. I don't want a smart speaker, I'm not going to talk to it. I just want something that has good sound. and if it looks nice, that'd be a bonus.
I'd prefer to stay sub-$200, but I'm willing to go up to $300 to get something nice if it's worth it. Anyone know of any speakers with no mics?
I'm from Australia and looking to get a bluetooth speaker and atm the soundcore ones are heavily discounted on amazon.
I want to spend under 200 aud, and the speaker will be used for a bunch of different things like showering, chilling inside, outside, and also beach and pool days.
Portability matters somewhat, something relatively easy to carry is important.
Sound quality is the biggest thing, I have a wonderboom and a ue boom 2 atm and both are not the best and have connectivity issues.
I've been looking at a few speakers on sale, the motion 300, the motion plus, the motion boom and the motion boom plus. All in my price range but I cant determine which best suits my needs.
Please lmk which you would recommend, or if theres a different one. Keep in mind the budget is just a maximum and if you think I could spend a lot less for something that would suit my needs lmk.
Thanks :)
I would like a recommendation for any sound equipment that can fit my needs. I plan on using this for strictly music playing and don't have any plans for connecting it to a television, but that functionality would be greatly appreciated. I would like something with a bit of bass but focusing more on the sound quality itself. I plan on mainly playing music through my phone so something connecting with Bluetooth would be great, I do plan on connecting it to a desktop computer. My budget is $300, but I would prefer something in the $200 area.
I'm not well educated on audio equipment outside of headphones, so please, feel free to lecture me.
I'm getting married on a beach in Costa Rica (with only 15 people attending)and we are to bring our own speakers for it. I'm seeing two options, either rent some nice speakers there or buy our own fit to handle the beach sounds.
If I were to buy speakers, any suggestions? Traveling with really large speakers will be a pain so I'm hoping there are some smaller kinds out there fit for airplane trave and powerful enough to give us good audio.
Or should we just rent from somewhere where we're having it in Tamarindo?
Hello! I'm looking for small speakers under 200 for my record player and phone. Is it better to get bookshelf speakers like Edifier R1280DB Bluetooth Bookshelf Speaker? Or do something like for example the single speaker Sonos - Era 100 Speaker? Not sure what gives a more full music experience? Sound quality is my priority. (And please leave recommendations if you have any)
Hello guys!
So basically I want to get a speaker for my living room in order to connect it to my phone and computer and cast music/podcasts/sound from games/... on it. it doesn't need a good autonomy or to be portable since it will solely be for an at home usage.
Since I do not have a lot of space, a stereo setup with 2 speakers would be too complex to install, I just want a good mono-speaker that would do the trick if installed around the middle of the room.
Note that I don't like to listen to my music very loudly, so if possible I would like it to have a sound as natural as possible and for it to work well even at a medium-low volume.
Thanks in advance for your advices!
PS: I have a budget of 200 euros, can go a bit over if the product is extremely good anf fitting my needs
I shared these EQs in a post about a week ago, but I had them mislabeled as neutral, so I deleted the original post (since you can't edit post titles). I'm posting these again, because I really like them, and I'd like to share them, but I'm being generic about their descriptions because I don't want to mislabel them as something they are not. TO ME, they sound clear, not muddy, with good bass.
I started by looking at frequency response graphs from Rtings, OuterAudio, and Alan Ross. They were all different, but the peaks and dips at different frequencies were pretty similar between them all. So I adjusted up or down accordingly and then tweaked a little from there. I listen to all kinds of music, so I tried to get a best average EQ for all music types. Because of this, it might not be "best" for any one type in particular. However, I think I achieved something that sounds clear and not muddy, and has decent fullness and bass. All of these are meant to be used with BassUp on, but I think they work good with bassup off as well for a less punchy sound.
Basic EQ: https://dl-soundcore.soundcore.com/qcdl?flow=soundcore&tk=4RSvGDAQ&pn=A3138&rg=GW
*Probably the best for clarity and separation with the lease amount of muddiness, but less full and bassy than the other two.
More Bass EQ: https://dl-soundcore.soundcore.com/qcdl?flow=soundcore&tk=O6whSj97&pn=A3138&rg=GW
*Bass and fullness is increased from the Basic EQ, while trying to maintain clarity. Might be my favorite all around.
Most Bass EQ: https://dl-soundcore.soundcore.com/qcdl?flow=soundcore&tk=OXJX9lfn&pn=A3138&rg=GW
*Boosted bass and mids for a fuller deeper sound. Not as detailed (slightly muffled), but good for outdoors or for music that benefits from boosted bass (rock for example).
I hope you enjoy.
So with black friday sales I want to get a wireless bluetooth speaker for my mum, with a budget of 150 aud. Would love for something off of amazon as there are some really good deals on there.
Its mainly for listening to music inside, in a bedroom or living room and maybe outside aswell. Doesnt really need to move around much, and wont need to be super loud, but the priority is on sound quality and a decent volume.
Please drop your recommendations below :)
Hi Guys
I'm looking for speakers for my home, main piece is 60m2 area. Use case is mainly for audio (every kind of music).
Do you have any recommandation for bluetooth/wifi speakers with maximum budget 1000$?
I read a lot of thing about Sonos, Devialet & B&O (too expensive for quality, pay for design/brand)..but i don't really know what to think about all ?
Thanks !
I want to invest in a good Bluetooth speaker, so at first thought about buying the Dali katch G2. But I was wondering if anyone has experience with stereo paring B&O A1 and if it is much better than using one ? And more general how do they compare to the Dali katch g2 or other expensive speakers.
Hey guys, I am looking to get a bluetooth portable speaker and looking at the following options-
JBL Flip 6: 80$
Soundcore Motion Plus: 70$ (apparently becomes insane after tweaking the EQ??)
Bose Soundlink Flex: 120$
Marshall Emberton 2: 100$
My priorities would be sound quality > portability > battery life > looks.
Not a heavy music listener, so really confused between these ones. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thank you!!
2 years ago i broke my high sierra speaker when i fell onto it flying down the mountain. (my spine is fine, somehow). i want a speaker thats snowproof, waterproof, and rugged and TOUGH. battery life is important, sound quality doesnt matter to me as much. a clip on kind would be nice too. the skullcandy kilo or terrain or the jbl go 3/4/5/6 look good but i want to know what the people trust.
Should I get the bose for 300$? Or revolve? I’m also thinking about ue hyperboom but heard that the battery life deteriorates pretty quickly? Iooking for both indoor and outdoor use For parties and also for solo sesh haha
Hello,
I'm looking to get a portable speaker that I can connect to the headphone jack of a USB hub that plugs into my iPad for iPad music making (iPad synths, drum machines, ext.).
However, I'd also like the option to pair another speaker up to get stereo effects. However, I'm not positive how to accomplish this without utilizing Bluetooth (as I there cannot be delay in my use case).
Would getting an Aux cord that splits into two be beat for this? Or are there any portable speakers that pair together via a physical connection?
The reason I'm posting here is I also want whatever o get to be Bluetooth enabled so I can use them for parties as well.
Speakers I am currently looking at (for a pair) are the JBL Partybox Encore Essentials as well as Earfun Uboom Xs. But I believe both of those can only pair with a second speaker wirelessly.
Budget is roughly $500.
For 30 person parties. I want to take advantage of Black Friday sales. Bose Soundlink Max, JBL Boombox 3, JBL Partybox 120 or 320, or Sony?
UPDATE:
https://youtu.be/SJ4tCAD2TvA?si=ElAcuiZgDijIuBeG 2. I offered $375 at Greentoe for a Boombox 3 because I would feel uncomfortable bringing a 120 or 320 to someone else's party (it's like I'm taking over). It's $400 at Amazon. I will buy a 320 next time for my own parties 3. Got Boombox 3 new for $350 on eBay (dealonline18), zero interest for 12 months. Amazon raised it to $500. Greentoe wanted $475.
Hi everyone. Im looking for smalll speaker with battery tha has an audio input. If you can provide one model per budget, the better. Best wishes.
I just want Bluetooth speakers that STAY ON when they’re plugged in.
I grew up with bookshelf speakers & love the idea of just being able to play music through my speakers at home without seeking out the speaker & turning it on first.
I’m not interested in smart-home devices or any of the expensive Sonos stuff.
Just simply a Bluetooth speaker that STAYS ON. Or at a push, one with a remote control.
I’ve seen people say a few brands, but then I go look further into that speaker & there’s contradictions??
How is this NOT a selling point for speakers? — with a tiny fix, they could be in direct competition with smart-home equipment & Sonos!
Ugh it’s so frustrating !!
I recently bought a Marshall Stanmore 3 speaker. While the audio quality generally is great, there often is a hissing sound/white noise - the amount differs from track to track, and this is only while playing.
Is this normal and just how things are, or should I return it?
as I bought mine some 7 years ago and since I really like it but the battery isn't quite what it used to be, I am going to leave this info here as a reference since I couldn't find anything about it and recently took apart mine to switch the batteries anyway.
as there are no screws visible, you'll need to peel off both rubber top and bottom to get to them. try to be gentle, or you might accidentally peel off just the rubber instead of the rubber and the adhesive.
the MP700 I have uses 3 (samsung, for what it's worth) cells of 18650 in series for a total of 11,1 V with 2600 mAh capacity. I switched those for sanyo/panasonic 18650 with 3500 mAh.
it is obvious this thing really isn't designed to be serviceable, though it certainly can be done. maybe don't let this be your very first endeavour with this kind of "repair" of an electronic device. but overall, I'd say if you've got at least some experience, you'll be able to do it.
Hey guys, 100+ decibals, no sacrifice in sound quality. I work in a 98 decibal environment. I listen to everything but frequent melodic/symphonic metal Tia $1000 and under
So iv'e had the JBL boombox 3 for over a year, and honestly, as time went i really didn't use it as much, because of the tuning. Alan ross adressed that on his review, the 700 hz peak and the lack of mids. So i randomally opened the case, turned it on, and saw a firmware update available on the app. I don't know if it's my imagination, but the tuning has MASSIVELY changed. It's not longer scratchy, it's smoother sounding. WARMER sounding. Maybe it's just me. If any of you guys have it and can confirm it, i'd be happy
Hi everyone! I am looking for a speaker to use while I play volleyball both in an outdoors with friends, and one that I could also use inside for parties. Something similar to a JBL Boombox 2 would probably work and I have a budget of about $150. I have looked at the Zealot s98, tribit storm box blast, Rockville Canon-XXL but I am open to other suggestions.
Need to buy one during sale please recommend
Any suggestions? Simple outdoor speaker plugged into outlet no receiver etc
