Make shirts, share them, have fun

A place to post your home made shirts where you have applied your design using a stencil , as well as tips, techniques, and info. We started with a focus on bleach shirts but please feel free to include shirts that include bleach and/or other embelishments ink/dye/fabric paint or pasta sauce.

If you report something please explain why. something pissed you off is not a good reason to report it

If you post someone else's shirt it will be removed, The only content you should post is your own. TLDR: OC only

Spray on, my friends.

VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT MIX BLEACH WITH VINEGAR OR ANYTHING BUT WATER. Here is why

Basically, yes vinegar will stop the bleaching process but it also releases very toxic chlorine gas.

Instead use a bleach neutralizer! Like this

USE A BLEACH NEUTRALIZER TO PROTECT YOUR WORK like this one here A suggestion for posting information:

We love the work you have done and thanks for sharing. If you could provide some additional information in your comments or imgur gallery we would all greatly appreciate it.

  • What process did you use to make the stencil? did you draw it? Photoshop? carved from the flesh of your enemies?
  • What ratio of bleach to water did you use?
  • What t-shirt was used? what fabric? did you get a good deal on them? from where?
  • If you are comfortable maybe even provide a download of the image file?

None of this is required but we love more info.

Be sure to show off your relevant work in other subreddits, /r/mylittlepony /r/pokemon /r/gaming for example, let everyone know we exist.

Successful-ish blank to grey [FP]

Logo blurred out because it's a local store. This is a 60% cotton, 40% polyester t shirt. I've been wanting a black/grey tie dye shirt for a while but they always come out orange and I thought this one would be too. I sprayed it with a 50/50 bleach solution and left it for 20min. Put it in the washing machine and it was orange but it came out like this!

[Q] how to go about bleach dyeing 80/20 cotton poly hoodie?

Hello!
Never bleach dyed before so this will be my first project. I'm making a custom hoodie for my boyfriend for our anniversary so I really want to get this right. I have not bought a hoodie to dye yet so if this is a horrible idea there is still plenty of time to find a different hoodie to buy.

I'm currently looking at this hoodie from Old Navy. I will be using a stencil of a music artist's logo that he likes. I'm thinking of using a method I saw another user suggest in the comments of a different post here a while back that uses freezer paper ironed onto the hoodie as the stencil.

I've looked around and I haven't found definitive (as definitive as it can get) answers on whether or not the 80/20 blend is a good idea, and if it is, what concentration of bleach to use, how long, etc. I'm already planning on cutting off the sleeves and replacing them with green sleeves from another hoodie so I'm thinking I could use the sleeve fabric to practice on. Any advice is appreciated!!
Thanks!

[FP] first try

hey friends! this is my first try bleaching an old crewneck i had. it’s my favorite pokémon Jolteon :) Just wanted to ask the professionals, am i good to throw it straight in the wash? with detergent or just to rinse? i don’t have hydrogen peroxide but i can definitely get it if it’s absolutely necessary for longevity. thanks !
