Add app as complication

I have the Toyota app for my wife’s vehicle on my Apple Watch. Can I add the app as a complication to a watch face and if so how do I do it?

Apple watch series 9 battery life

Hi guys, what's the daily battery life like of the series 9 (or 10).

Regular use during the day and 1hr exercise in the evening after work.

May not even connect to phone for Bluetooth notification etc used mainly for fitness and checking time.

Just want to get an idea of how long the battery would last

Sensor Edges Apple Watch 10

Was looking for some help from apple 10 watch owners.

Just upgraded to Apple Watch 10, wore for a day and noticed some irritation on my wrist, like a feeling of sharp edges when moving around. All looked ok but when I ran my nail gently across the rear of the watch it was catching the sensor ring edges, as if they are raised.

Was wondering if anyone could check theirs for me. I contacted apple and they advised to exchange, but no point if the new one will be the same.

My last watch was series 5 and wore constantly for 5 years without issue.

Thanks

RELIABLE Double Tap Gesture!

I think tonight I stumbled across the right way how to interact with your watch to make the double tap gesture regularly work, so you can actually pause and play your music and silence alarms and all that other stuff.

When you start the gesture, you need to keep every muscle in your forearm completely relaxed, preferably supporting at the shoulder rather than the elbow. Open your fingers as wide as you can then click them together, twisting them accordingly slightly so that the tips of your pads contact each other.

Let me know if you have any other tips to make this work even better!

Apple Watch cases scratching the watch itself

Seen a couple of older posts, but even though my Watch SE2 is 10 months old, there are some nasty marks all around the frame. Im assuming grit gets between the case and the frame and becomes abrasive. No wonder Apple Watch cases are hard to get hold of. I take the watch out of the case and clean everything but this still happens. Take the case off now, but I'm so cautious of the screen now.

Anyone know of any good screen protectors? I used some a couple years back an they make the watch inoperable, or is it just best to leave the watch bare and just try and be careful 😂

AWU2 Sleep tracking

Just joined the gang back after previously having an S7 and selling it. I started sleep tracking with my Ultra 2, all good and well but the battery drain was around 10% for 8hrs of sleep.

Now I don’t remember my S7 draining that much during sleep. I use sleep focus, sleep screen, background app refresh is off, watchOS 11.3.

Is the 10% drain normal for a 3 day old Ultra 2? Thanks!

Burn from watch strap?

So I’ve had several Apple Watch’s before, S3, S6, S9 and now the S10.

I absolutely love the S10, the battery life is easily better than what I had on my other watches.

But I’ve started having irritation where I have the watch. First it was itchy, now it looks like I’ve got a burn and the skin is peeling.

I’ve not experienced this on any other Apple Watch I’ve had, I’ve tried wearing the watch looser, but it doesn’t make a difference. I’m currently using the black sports band, but I’ve used sports bands on my S6 and the Nike sports band on my S9.

I’ve never had this kind of irritation before from an Apple Watch. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it with my S10?

Also, just wondering if it’s worth getting Apple Care + on the watch?

Incorrect sleep trigger

Good morning. I am very happy with the Apple Watch (9) but yesterday I noticed that it had detected sleep around 6 p.m. (my heart rate was 48 at the time), which is incorrect since I fell asleep at 10 p.m. Do you know what triggers sleep mode? Is it being static and having a resting heart rate? THANKS :-)

S10 battery life is phenomenal

I’m very satisfied with the battery life of the S10.

With AOD on and noise/Siri listening disabled, it drains about 2-3% per hour on BT/Wi-Fi and around 5% on cellular. Yesterday, during a 6-hour GPS tracking session (hiking with auto low power mode enabled during workouts), it went from 100% to 66%. I continued using it throughout the day and for sleep tracking at night. The next morning, after 25 hours, I put it on the charger at 28%, without topping it up at any point. Combined this with the really(!!) fast charing is amazing.

Apple Watch battery

I just replaced my series 6 44mm battery by myself. Seems like it won’t charge and it’s stuck in bootloop. Could this be a bug or just faulty battery?

Is there a way to find the time of a vital sign anomaly?

I've been wearing my Apple Watch for a couple of months and I love it. This said, this morning I got a notification there were two anomaly episodes in my sleep. One for high heart rate, the other one for breathing. I'm trying to figure at what time they were recorded but I cannot find how to do it on the watch nor on the iPhone. Can someone help? Thank you.

My watch won’t charge

My watch has been like this while plugged in for the last 2 hours. Seems like it won’t hold a charge. It’s been out of battery for 3 months (been wearing other watches). What’s wrong and what should I do?

Waterproof case for series 10?

I have a series 10 and I use it mainly for sport tracking. I go swimming at pool 3 times a week and I wear my wstch(which it’s pretty new as it has 1 month with me). I’ve seen that for older models there are some waterproof cases as catalyst but I couldn’t find anything for series 10. Anyone know some good waterproof case?

Is Apple Watch going more dump after Apple Intelligence?

Hi, I feel like Apple Intelligence is not yet integrated in Apple Watch, I am running on the treadmill and the car mode was suddenly activated, really ?! It’s not the first time to see weird things, also when I leave my Apple Watch, a pop up message to "stand up and walk for a minute" is shown. Is it really hard to know that I am not wearing it ? What’s your weird experience you had ?

Experience using the Apple Watch Ultra 2

Hey Apple Family!

My wife bought me the Apple Ultra 2 at the beginning of January for my birthday. Need I tell you by far the best invention that Apple has. It does have some tweaks like sometimes my maps will lose track of where I am supposed to be going which will require me to use my phone. I listen to music a lot from my Bluetooth beats headphones, and I can only use my phone in order to start the music and then I am able to control the next song or the previous song on my watch. I cannot choose any music in my playlist that is not either next in the queue. which can be a bummer, but I've learned to deal with it.

So, if you are a music enthusiast like me, you will need your phone on you at times to listen to music.

Which leads me to my next point, if you're trying to get away from the devices like phones, tablets, computers, and just want to use the watch for normal day use. This by far is the best watch I have ever used for day-to-day items like alarm, keeping track of sleep status, workouts, and your base apps such as the activity app. The type face to answer messages is big enough for my finger but I really got to focus and type slowly, so I just use the voice type text instead which is a great feel especially with the help of Siri.

Buying content on the apple store can be such a hassle. If your password is difficult or you don't remember it, I would put it somewhere to find it. My apple watch will tell me I can type in the password from using the text box on my phone but that just doesn't work in general. So yes, I am forced to put in my password by manually typing it. I am a full-on security person so my password is full of different characters that can get difficult to type after a while and especially with times that the apple store won't even buy or download the app after I have typed my password in 10 times. lol

Now enough of the rant lol I will say this watch is perfect for someone who tends to crack their watches a lot also, the titanium border is really tough when you run into a pole at full momentum not realizing that it's there. if you were to drop it in water, don't worry the watch can last under water with a rating of at least 100 meters so it's made for people who are into deep diving and exploring under water. There are times I forget my phone at home, I am not worried, my apple ultra has built in Wireless Connection that comes with the service which is so valuable since I use Apple pay on my watch most of the time. Needless to say, the watch is the sh*t.

My only proposal is, I had an experience the other day with a colleague. I had taken a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce out of our company fridge to eat some left over lunch we were having. My colleague walked up, and I started telling him about the hot sauce I was using which built a conversation for him to tell me about this special hot sauce that he likes to use that he got from Mexico. At the time, I was interested to see what the hot sauce was, but I didn't have my phone on me, and I didn't have a notepad. My apple watch was on me, but I had nowhere to write it down at. Now if there was apple notes that would allow a person to take down notes without paper or their phone insight, I would think that would be such an essential factor to add to this product that can help the company ensure the customer that the watch can be more reliable than the phone just in case if someone is to misplace their phone, or need to write down something in a moment's notice.

SE back broken — could it be from overheating on charger?

Hi everyone! The back of my daughter’s (12f) SE Apple Watch has shattered. She says she didn’t drop or smash it and I have zero reason not to believe her. But I can’t see how this could have happened otherwise. She says it was charging in her bed when she found it like this—could it have overheated and cracked if it was under covers or pillows? Seems unlikely to me but I’m at a loss otherwise. What do you think?

Am I missing something?

I recently have got myself a series 10 and a solo loop so I can forget I’m wearing it. I got it as I wanted to be able to check my heart and sleep, after so many people spoke so highly about the watches. However I feel like I’m missing something as I just don’t like it. It’s not a bad watch and it looks okay I’m just struggling so find the use. The blood oxygen and the ECG are cool but I feel that applies to a small percentage of people. The main draw is the sleep tracking and i’m not sure what the benefit is. Telling me how long I’ve slept, core and rem sleep is good but it doesn’t tell me what I should do differently. Why do I need to know all that instead of just blacking out the room and getting more hours. I’m probably missing the point of the watch I’m just struggling to see any benefits for it. Any help would be appreciated
