I recently moved to the ecosystem with an i phone 15. I want to get a smart watch mostly for the health functionalities. My less than mediocre watch I have right now isn’t syncing well and I’m not able to track even basic things like steps.
I don’t have a very big budget so cheaper the better! But my main concern is battery. How long does the S9 last? How about the SE (since it’s more budget friendly)? Or do you think Apple watch is a bad option for my requirements?
Thanks in advance!
Was the series 8 the last Apple Watch to have the spO2 feature?
Not usually the smart watch kind of guy and it’s my first ultra watch and I am loving it so far! The black is definitely sexy 💯
Was fine immediately after updating to watchOS 11.0 on my S7, but then randomly started doing this a couple weeks in and has continued to even after 11.0.1. Happens on most watch faces with corner complications (Infograph, Nike Globe, Metropolitan but not Solar Dial), regardless of complication position, always on on/off, wrist raised/down, “show complications” in always on settings enabled/disabled, Activity app being loaded/not loaded and background app refresh enabled/disabled. Wrist detection is enabled. Seemingly occurs at random, maybe 70% of the time it looks like this. I’ve tried rebooting, tried basically everything short of a full factory reset - wanted to see if anyone can help before doing that.
I banged up against a door or something. Ended up taking a chunk out of it but the watch was less affected. Small scratches only really visible to me in the right angles.
So, purchased a new series 10 42mm and got it set up and synced to my iPhone. Downloaded the “Digital Time - Complication” from the App Store to be able to have a simple time-based complication on one of the analog watch faces. Worked great!
Decided to return the 42mm and get a 46mm instead. Reset the 42mm to factory and got the 46 set up on synced to my iPhone…everything works great!
However…I can’t find that Apple Watch complication app anywhere now. It doesn’t show in the Apple Watch app on my phone (or watch), but it I go to the App Store to download it again, it’s grayed out and says “Purchased” (like it’s already on my phone/watch). There’s no way to “delete” it since I can’t find it…and I have no clue what to do!
It’s honestly the perfect app for what I want to do, and none of the others in the App Store come close to the simplicity…new to Apple Watch, any ideas??
My battery life has been horrible since upgrading to 11.0.1 on my awu1.
Aw series 10 42mm. Sweet!
I'm an in shape guy, however I am having an issue with band fitment based on the seasons.
I have the Braided Solo Loop and during the Summer it fits snug and perfect, but as soon as the temps start to fall, like now, the band becomes very loose on my wrist. It can become so loose on my wrist that it will 'lock; itself thinking it is not on me, forcing me to enter my passcode or unlock it with my phone.
When I measured my wrist using their printed paper (at 100%) I went to the tighter size just to be on the safe side, but that does not even seem to matter.
Obviously the band is not the issue, just my wrist/body swelling/shrinking due to temp/humidity/etc.
How many other run into this issue? Do you run two different size bands or an adjustable?
Problem Statement:
When using an external bluetooth connected heart monitor with my Apple Watch during run workouts, the Apple Health app is not calculating the Heart Rate Recovery metric. This metric was calculated when I was using the native apple watch HR monitor. This is a critical fitness metric for runners. I only want to run with my Apple Watch with me, not my iPhone.
Context:
Good news:
I have successfully paired the H10 directly with my Apple Watch using Bluetooth. I use the native Apple Watch Workout app to record my runs. The Watch is successfully using the H10 for my heart rate during the workouts. I have verified that this is the case by going into the Apple Health app on iPhone after my workout. I can see in the detailed data log that the HR data stream is coming from the Bluetooth connected H10 vs the Apple Watch HR sensor. So far so good.
Detailed Problem:
I don't see any Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) data in the Apple Health app on my iPhone for the two runs I have done using this setup above. This is a very important metric for me. Any options? I am open to installing other 3rd Party Apple Watch apps if I need to. Again - I don't want to run with the iPhone with me.
Hey, all! I figured I’d come to the experts for this issue. This isn’t my Watch, but my buddy’s dad has a S10 and every time he sends someone a text message through the Watch, it sends doubled up like the picture shows. Does anyone know why it’s doing this and a potential fix? TIA!
I got the watch so I could more easily track my blood sugars while running (type 1 diabetic) and that works pretty good. But I am also trying to get better at pacing and zone 2 running which requires me to look at my watch a ton. So right now I am stuck going between screens constantly. Is there any way to adjust my activity screen and maybe replace the calories with my blood sugar instead?
I know very little about the watch outside of the basic setup and changing watch faces
Edit: or if that is possible on a watch face? I would like my heart rate. Mile pace and blood sugar (dexcom g7 app)
I used to have an S5 before and never had such deep scratches on it (a friend of mine even joked if I scratched it with a diamond, but no lol). I guess I'll probably wait for some protective glass that I can apply with UV glue to at least to try to make it less visible. I'm not sure if the glass has become softer or less scratch-resistant, or if it's just my clumsiness. I actually thought that the jet black case would get all dented and scratched, but it actually seems to be holding up pretty well.
Hello My apple watch keeps connecting and disconnecting when I use my iPhone's cellular data. It works fine when connected to wifi or without internet but as soon as I use cellular the issue begins.😭 It first started when I updated to ios17 and after a lot of discussion I found a solution but now after updating to ios18 that solution doesn't work anymore So again my watch is useless. I have an (iPhone 12/1OS18.0.1) (apple (watch s6/watchOS 11) I've already tried turning on/off Apple Watch and iPhone, airplane mode, bluetooth, pairing and unpairing I would be glad to read your ideas and solutions.🙏🏻
any way
The back sensor has come loose and the seal is exposed. I’ve been the Apple Store today and “they tried their best” for a replacement for me but their conclusion was essentially that it’s my fault and I therefore have to pay for the repair which will cost me nearly £300 (or $400).
The technician very casually said the only thing he can think of is that the back sensor has come loose and the seal has been exposed by being caught on some clothing and that’s why it’s my fault. This is absolutely not the case. Even if the seal did get caught on some clothing that would mean that the back sensor would have to have come loose in the first place. How would I even do that? There is no other damage on the watch.
With the watch not even two years old I am furious that they are essentially forcing me to buy a new watch. I’ll be switching to Garmin or Polar in future.
Hi. Question for fellow Australians. I brought an Apple Watch 9 GPS + celluar and it’s too big and heavy for my wrist. In the meantime the 10 came out so of course I brought it. It is so much lighter! I am now looking to sell my 9 but I want to know the right way to go about it. Also does the Apple Care Coverage transfer to the new buyer? Thanks
Loving the upgrade so far! Previously using an aluminum 41mm s7. I hope the screen will not be as scratched as my previous watch after 3 years 😅
I have had the supernatural app on my watch for months and for some reason it got removed a few days ago. Every time I try to add it back on, it loads for a second and then switches back to the install button. I have lots of room left on my watch. Has anyone else experienced this/have a fix for it?
Come on apple devs, it's not rocket science to let us do it for longer.
