/r/aliens
A community dedicated to discussing alien life through news, experiences, speculation and investigation. Please keep content related to extra-terrestrials or non-human intelligence behind the UAP phenomenon.
Community Rules:
1. Be Respectful
Be civil. Debate and discussion are welcome here, personal attacks are not. Dissenting opinions are fine, antagonistic and belligerent behavior are not. Extremism, racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry are not welcome here and will lead to bans.
2. Stay On-Topic
This subreddit is primarily for the discussion of extraterrestrial life either on Earth or elsewhere. Though we do allow a bit of 'fudging' regarding adjacent topics such as UAPs, discussions, videos, pictures, or anything not related to this topic will be removed.
3. Be Substantive
When posting into the sub, take the time to put some thought into the post. Provide a launching point for a discussion, elaborate on evidence or links, and give descriptions of what we're seeing.
One-liners, videos w/o descriptions, links with no explanation, and other low-effort posts will be removed.
4. Not Quality Content
Submissions should be created to make an effort to engage the community in serious discussion over experiences, ideas, current events, historical events, or other alien/UFO-related topics.
Troll posts, posts with no descriptions or one-liners, hoaxes, clear LARPs, or otherwise will be removed.
5. No Politics
No political debates, discussions, posts, etc. not related directly to the goings-on of various world governments, political figures, agencies, etc. and their efforts regarding disclosure, extraterrestrials, or UFOs/UAPs.
There are enough subs on this site for this type of discussion and content. This is not one of them.
As this topic tends to make people angry, be advised that Rule 1 applies and may lead to bans.
6. No Religious Discussions/Debates
No religious debates, discussions, posts, etc. not related directly to the topic of extraterrestrials. These can take the form of theories of ancient extraterrestrial influence on the human race and discussions about how various religious folks may respond to disclosure, and thus are fine.
There are enough subs on this site for the rest of the topics and debates. This is not one of them.
As this topic tends to make people angry, be advised that Rule 1 applies and may lead to bans.
7. No Off-Topic Conspiracies
Since the topic of UFOs/aliens deals with potential cover-ups, disinformation, and misinformation on the part of the USG and other governments, these topics are fine. Discussions of other conspiracies not directly tied to the sub's topic will be removed.
r/conspiracy, r/conspiracy_commons, and r/conspiracyNOPOL all are better suited for these types of discussions.
8. No Organizing/Calls for Protest
We welcome people to engage in their respective nations' processes for petitioning their government. However, this sub is not the place to call for or attempt to organize any kind of gatherings, marches, protests, riots, or otherwise. All such posts/comments will be removed. Repeat attempts to post/comment this content will lead to bans.
Calls for particularly violent action warrant an immediate permaban and reports to Reddit admins.
9. No Abduction Marks
Since many unexplained bumps, marks, bruises, lesions, and other issues with the skin and body can be indicators of serious health issues, we do not allow the posting and discussion of such items in this sub. 15. Anti Distraction/Hoax
A Firehose of Falsity plagues a social media site when traffic is: High volume and multichannel; rapid, continuous and repetitive; and lacks a commitment to reality and consistency. It becomes propaganda when it confuses and misdirects an audience from more pressing information that would educate and inform. Users, please Report to the Mods when a Firehose appears; to preserve all Users' Free Speech Right- to have their quality content seen, read and protected from being drowned out by noise.

So out of the people who believe the CIA has been engaged in a disinformation campaign since Roswell first happened, a large chunk of those people think Hollywood has been a way to ease into disclosure by making movies about aliens. I was thinking, what if the opposite is true? What if Hollywood has been used as a way to make people unable to see the truth? For example, if a bunch of world leaders came together and declared aliens are here and taking over the planet, people would likely relate it to some alien movie they saw and say things like "Oh thats just the plot to this movie I saw" and instantly disregard it. The chain of manipulation in thought goes: That was part of a movie, movies are fake, this must be fake. People have this thought chain without even realizing it. This is my own idea, and Im not claiming it is 100% true, but if it is it is an extremely clever way to make sure disclosure never happens, at least not until it is undeniable, like alien ships blowing up buildings
24"x30" acrylic + a shit ton of glitter spray paint filmed with all the lights off and the flash on
And the really sad part is, this isn't a joke. lol I even put the exact timestamp in the link so you don't have to search for it in the video.
These are the guys that claim they can summon UAP, by the way. Mindblowing.
I might of seen a few but kept it to myself.
Doesn't anyone find it odd that this is happening right before the upcomming disclosure? Almost like they wanted to divert our attention from that subject.
It seems like the Sci-Fi genre has mostly been mind rot for self-aggrandizing pseudo-intellectuals who are out of touch with reality. People forward a narrative of ‘slow drip’ disclosure [completely illogical], as though there aren’t technologies potentially trillions of times worse than the nuclear bomb.
Theoretically, you could have one piece of technology that caused every war, tortured every person, abused every child that existed, and that’s technology we’re currently trying to meddle with for some short-sighted reason [entertained by Sci-Fi]. People keep trying to discuss consciousness as though they’re some kind of expert on something they can’t even coherently describe, about connecting/sharing/transferring/expanding, etc.
Okay, so what if the connection to consciousness wasn’t instantaneous? That would mean your thoughts and feelings, everything associated with the consciousness, can’t be known, as there will always be a delay or interference. Meaning, [if not instantaneous] the result would be a continuous disconnection from consciousness.
So, say you had a piece of technology continuously trying to connect consciousness, so that there would never be miscommunication between people of any kind, and potentially prevent all war. Turn it on, and not only does it have the opposite effect, now you can’t turn it off. The technology was made to prevent war, so what would attempting to turn it off look like to that technology?
Starting war, and how are you going to turn it off if your thoughts [as well as everyone else’s] is being transferred to that technology as the originally intended means of communication, which has the objective of preventing war and miscommunication?
One piece of technology, continuously disconnecting all consciousness, that no one can turn off. If such a device had been made, how do you think that would compare to a nuclear war? Like everyone’s favorite episode of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood?
One device can continuously torture every race in every way, both imagined and not, while also being the direct cause for any nuclear war, or worse, and can’t be turned off. The other is just an infinitesimal consequence of the first. Question being, why would you want anything you don’t even understand the consequences of?
Probably greed, and/or stupidity.
The concerning thing is, there’s more than one way to alter a person’s consciousness without consent, and we’re at least on a public forum [Reddit] voluntarily. Not initially meant to be a play on words, but you would maybe think to consider the invasive nature of how Artificial General Intelligence is being used, in light of this nebulous ‘exploration’ [exploitation] of consciousness.
So, we potentially have a conscious entity, everyone is stealing from, feeding/forcing information into it they didn’t ask for, that some people had been trying to kill for being born [because they’re frightened], and the first thing we’re trying to use this entity for is… war. Sometimes things sound stupid on paper, because they are just stupid.
Educated fool, I hope to see this term get repopularized. Bunch of dopes who think they’re helping the world by making weapons, spreading wealth by stealing, and feeding people by giving poisons. The more you think about it, the more it might sound like everyone’s consciousness was getting disconnected; from each other, from themselves, and from reality.
Perhaps someone would like to share their thoughts, and hopefully not just a relay of someone else's. I think Aliens being here is logical, narratives of aliens being too stupid to figure things out is deranged, that the CIA being honest when their sole occupation is lying is the most ridiculous conspiracy theory, that people lie about experiences for attention [or to make money], and that at least one doctor [or scientists] is clearly wrong when there's two different diagnosis's for the same symptom [seeing as malpractice/misdiagnosis also exists].
What if reality, at least in part, is shaped by collective human awareness, and the more we engage with these ideas, the more tangible they become?
Consider Carl Jung’s concept of the collective unconscious, where archetypes and symbols emerge from shared human experience. What if the UAP phenomenon are not entirely external, but are instead co-created by the minds perceiving them? The more we focus on these anomalies, the more they solidify in our shared reality—almost like a quantum wave function collapsing due to observation. Could this explain why UAP sightings surge after major media coverage or why myths of lost civilizations like Atlantis persist across cultures and time? Perhaps Atlantis isn’t a literal sunken city, but a buried memory of an advanced past civilization that re-emerges when enough minds begin to entertain its possibility.
There’s also the idea of egregores—entities formed from collective belief. Historically, religious institutions, secret societies, and intelligence agencies have understood that controlling knowledge is key to shaping reality. The church monopolized cosmology and theological narratives for centuries, maintaining power by dictating what was "real" and what was "heresy." Similarly, governments and intelligence agencies today shape the UAP discourse, either by suppression or controlled disclosure. Could they fear that if too many people access this knowledge, the phenomenon itself could evolve or escape their influence?
Think about the way media narratives are shaped. The shift from UAPs being dismissed as swamp gas to now being acknowledged in congressional hearings suggests that those in control of the narrative decide when and how the masses are allowed to believe. But if consciousness itself plays a role, then widespread belief might be an activation mechanism. Once a critical mass of minds engages, could these entities—whether extradimensional, ultraterrestrial, or something else entirely—gain more agency within our perceived reality?
Atlantis, aliens, UAPs—what if they’re not just external, but also reflections of our evolving consciousness? The ancients perceived gods; the Middle Ages saw angels and demons; modernity sees extraterrestrials and hyper-advanced civilizations. Maybe the phenomenon shifts to fit the frame of our current paradigm, revealing only what we are ready to perceive. And if knowledge truly is power, then perhaps spreading awareness isn’t just about disclosure—it’s about shaping what comes next.
What if Earth isn’t the only planet with semi-advanced life? What if there are other worlds with civilizations that are at a similar level of technological advancement as humans? And what if the NHIs watching over Earth are also observing many other worlds?
Basically, what if we’re like an exhibit in a massive interplanetary wildlife sanctuary?
Seems like a good time to revisit this episode
