A community dedicated to discussing alien life through news, experiences, speculation and investigation. Please keep content related to extra-terrestrials or non-human intelligence behind the UAP phenomenon.

Community Rules:

1. Be Respectful

Be civil. Debate and discussion are welcome here, personal attacks are not. Dissenting opinions are fine, antagonistic and belligerent behavior are not. Extremism, racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry are not welcome here and will lead to bans.

2. Stay On-Topic

This subreddit is primarily for the discussion of extraterrestrial life either on Earth or elsewhere. Though we do allow a bit of 'fudging' regarding adjacent topics such as UAPs, discussions, videos, pictures, or anything not related to this topic will be removed.

3. Be Substantive

When posting into the sub, take the time to put some thought into the post. Provide a launching point for a discussion, elaborate on evidence or links, and give descriptions of what we're seeing.

One-liners, videos w/o descriptions, links with no explanation, and other low-effort posts will be removed.

4. Not Quality Content

Submissions should be created to make an effort to engage the community in serious discussion over experiences, ideas, current events, historical events, or other alien/UFO-related topics.

Troll posts, posts with no descriptions or one-liners, hoaxes, clear LARPs, or otherwise will be removed.

5. No Politics

No political debates, discussions, posts, etc. not related directly to the goings-on of various world governments, political figures, agencies, etc. and their efforts regarding disclosure, extraterrestrials, or UFOs/UAPs.

There are enough subs on this site for this type of discussion and content. This is not one of them.

As this topic tends to make people angry, be advised that Rule 1 applies and may lead to bans.

6. No Religious Discussions/Debates

No religious debates, discussions, posts, etc. not related directly to the topic of extraterrestrials. These can take the form of theories of ancient extraterrestrial influence on the human race and discussions about how various religious folks may respond to disclosure, and thus are fine.

There are enough subs on this site for the rest of the topics and debates. This is not one of them.

As this topic tends to make people angry, be advised that Rule 1 applies and may lead to bans.

7. No Off-Topic Conspiracies

Since the topic of UFOs/aliens deals with potential cover-ups, disinformation, and misinformation on the part of the USG and other governments, these topics are fine. Discussions of other conspiracies not directly tied to the sub's topic will be removed.

r/conspiracy, r/conspiracy_commons, and r/conspiracyNOPOL all are better suited for these types of discussions.

8. No Organizing/Calls for Protest

We welcome people to engage in their respective nations' processes for petitioning their government. However, this sub is not the place to call for or attempt to organize any kind of gatherings, marches, protests, riots, or otherwise. All such posts/comments will be removed. Repeat attempts to post/comment this content will lead to bans.

Calls for particularly violent action warrant an immediate permaban and reports to Reddit admins.

9. No Abduction Marks

Since many unexplained bumps, marks, bruises, lesions, and other issues with the skin and body can be indicators of serious health issues, we do not allow the posting and discussion of such items in this sub. We are not medical professionals. Please seek medical attention if you have some sort of issue that you need answers for. Thanks.

Serious? One thing I find annoying about disclosure discourse is the idea some people with evidence feel “threatened.” Is there an example of someone actually being harmed because they disclosed information?

I want to believe, but I am also aware there is a huge number of people in this world that will sell a lie for a dollar or a moment of attention.

I notice in basically all of the Alien/UAP documentaries I’ve watched there is someone that has information they won’t share for their own safety, or they are afraid of sharing evidence to an extraordinary claim because of the repercussions.

Outside of maybe some ridicule for the Alien stuff they are claiming, has anyone actually faced repercussions?

When I hear the statement it always seems more like a BS flag than an actual thing that happens

Can we compile a list of people who have disclosed things and never made any big profit?

Anyways when someone discloses something, there's always this element of "Buy a book" or selling merch etc. This makes me doubt them. Are there any people which have disclosed, and never made such profits?

Livestock mutilations, do you think there's any relationship with ancient religious practices of animal sacrifice.

If this is something that aliens still do, did they do it thousands of years ago? If so, did ancient cultures recognize this and perhaps worship them as godlike figures, sacrificing livestock and religious ceremonies to attract their attention? And yes, I just watched, Investigation Alien.

20 Historic Mass Sightings from around the world

In case you are looking for some "deep dive" ammo, here's a list of lesser-known mass sightings from around the world. Everyone knows about Phoenix Lights and Nimitz, but these cases are just as wild

1. The Tehran UFO Incident (Iran, 1976)

This one's absolutely nuts. Iranian Air Force actually scrambled F-4s to intercept a UFO, and both jets had their systems completely fried when they got close. The pilots watched in disbelief as smaller orbs shot out of the main craft like some sci-fi movie. The wild part? The US Defense Intelligence Agency actually took this seriously and called it one of their most credible cases. Let that sink in.

2. Dalnegorsk Incident (Russia, 1986)

Imagine if Roswell happened in Soviet Russia. That's basically what went down in Dalnegorsk when a metallic sphere crashed into a hillside. The really weird part? They found both metal fragments AND biological samples. Yeah, you read that right.

3. The Voronezh Incident (Russia, 1989)

This one sounds like a bad sci-fi movie, but it was witnessed by multiple kids AND adults. A glowing pear-shaped craft lands in a park, and out walk these tall beings with THREE EYES, accompanied by what witnesses described as robots. The Soviet government actually investigated this one officially. In Soviet Russia, aliens investigate YOU! (sorry, couldn't resist)

4. The Colares Flap (Brazil, 1977)

Ever heard of aggressive UFOs? The Colares Flap in Brazil had lights that actually attacked people, leaving burns and puncture marks. These things were popping up from the ocean too. The Brazilian military got so freaked out they launched "Operation Saucer" to investigate. Surprise surprise, they classified everything. Classic.

5. The Chulucanas Incident (Peru, 2001)

Picture this: An entire town watching UFOs doing geometric formations in the sky. Not for one night. Not for two nights. But DAYS. Multiple people got photos and videos, and the Peruvian military was like ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Still no explanation to this day.

6. The Trancas Case (Argentina, 1963)

This one's wild because of the physical evidence. Multiple witnesses saw glowing lights hovering near a farmhouse, making weird humming noises. But here's the kicker - they left behind scorch marks and ground impressions. You know it's good when there's actual physical evidence.

7. The Kumburgaz Footage (Turkey, 2007-2009)

A security guard in Turkey basically became the Steven Spielberg of UFO footage over three years. Caught multiple videos of metallic objects over the Sea of Marmara, and get this - some footage seems to show beings inside. Experts reviewed it and found no tampering. Google "Kumburgaz UFO" if you want to lose a few hours of sleep.

8. The Westall UFO Incident (Australia, 1966)

200 students and teachers. Middle of the day day. A silver disc descends, hovers over a field, then zooms off with a smaller craft following it. This isn't some grainy footage or second-hand story - this was witnessed by an entire school. The witnesses still get together for reunions to this day.

9. The Bariloche UFO Incident (Argentina, 1995)

Commercial pilot encounters a huge glowing object while trying to land. Control tower sees it too. Then the airport loses power. This isn't some random pilot - this was an Aerolineas Argentinas flight with multiple witnesses including passengers and airport staff. Still unexplained.

10. The Phu Quoc Island Incident (Vietnam, 2008)

A glowing disc crashes into the Gulf of Thailand. Vietnamese Navy actually sends ships to investigate but finds nothing. The government kept this one quiet, but locals still talk about it. Makes you wonder what else is hiding under the waves...

11. The Fukushima UFO Sightings (Japan, 2011)

Right after the nuclear disaster, people started seeing glowing spheres hovering around the power plant. Multiple witnesses, photos, videos - the works. Were they monitoring the disaster? Taking readings? Playing tourist? We'll probably never know.

12. The Kinross Incident (China, 1998)

An oval craft decides to chill over some Chinese farmland, complete with humanoid figures. The wild part? A government official actually saw it, and the military tried to intercept. Spoiler alert: it pulled the classic "zoom away at impossible speed" move.

13. The Huangyangtan Incident (China, 1982)

A massive disc shows up near a Chinese military base. Multiple military personnel see it. China's response? Implement strict UFO reporting protocols because these things keep showing up near military installations. Really makes you think, doesn't it?

14. The Qinling Mountain Sighting (China, 1994)

Imagine waking up to see a giant triangle shooting beams of light over mountains. That's what happened here. Made all the Chinese newspapers. Even better - multiple witnesses described the same exact thing.

15. Beijing Sighting (China, 1995)

Not often you get thousands of witnesses in a major city, but that's exactly what happened in Beijing. A huge triangle just hanging out downtown, tracked on radar and everything. Chinese government's response? crickets

16. The Petrozavodsk Incident (Russia, 1977)

This one's straight-up bizarre. A glowing object shows up and starts shooting "rain of fine rays" that could penetrate buildings. People in FINLAND saw this thing. The Soviets tried saying it was a rocket test. Sure, comrade, a rocket that shoots building-penetrating light rain. Totally normal.

17. The Atacama Desert Sighting (Chile, 1997)

Pilot encounters a huge metallic cylinder following his plane over the Atacama Desert. Chile took it so seriously they created their own government UFO investigation agency (CEFAA). When a country creates a whole agency because of one incident... yeah.

18. The Lebanon UFO Wave (2000)

While everyone else was worrying about computers crashing, Lebanon was having a full-on UFO wave. Silent, glowing spheres all over Beirut. Multiple witnesses, no explanation. Maybe the aliens were worried about Y2K too?

19. The Kalahari Crash Incident (Botswana/Namibia Border, 1989)

Something crashes in the desert between Botswana and Namibia. Next thing you know, South African military shows up, possibly with US forces in tow. They grab something metallic and saucer-shaped and... poof. Gone. Never officially confirmed, but too many witnesses for comfort.

20. Lake Baikal USO Sightings (Russia, 1982)

Soviet Navy divers meet humanoids in silver suits. Underwater. At 150 feet deep. In the world's deepest lake. Tries to capture one (because of course they did), and it fights back, injuring several divers. Still classified, but fits with years of weird sightings in the lake.

Contact Downloads: “Tell me something I don’t know already.” UFO Intelligence responds in a surprising way.” Serious

Thirty years ago I experienced a personal crisis resulting from an incident that occurred during contact work. I was in the desert at night during a field investigation with a group of CE-5 UFO. It was pitch black. I was standing with two women from my team that had just described the sound of footsteps moving through the brush towards them. Yet no person or animal could be seen. Suddenly I became terribly frightened, and this fear filled me with shame.”

How could I continue to lead a contact team if I so readily became afraid when confronted with yet another example of high strangeness?

Help arrived in the form of anomalous events that I later was told were “contact downloads.” During one apparent telepathic interaction I challenged the ego-syntonic voice in my head with: “Why don’t you tell me something I don’t know so I will know that you are not me?” What followed could be described as a full proprioceptive hallucination that involved a sense of acceleration in all directions.

Douglas Caddy, an attorney who briefly served as counsel for Howard Hunt after the Watergate Scandal, says that Hunt told him the real reason JFK was assassinated was that he was going to give the Soviets "our most vital secret." When Caddy asked what that was, Hunt said it was "the alien presence."

Investigation Alien on Netflix..... Thoughts?

George Knapp seems like he definitely wants to be the one to do the "most". And as a Vegas local I've always wants to "believe". But so far (only thru episode 2) it seems like a lot of repeat info 🫤

Weird thing me n my mates saw in 2021

https://imgur.com/a/KOPjPtG

Visualy it looked like a triangle, you can see a bird fly by it, that was way closer, so it was quite big, it decened into the water, before this, about half an hour before, militry planes were flying around, I thought there was an air show or something. Perhaps a militarly balloon? It legit looked like and upside down triangle. And as said it slowly went into the water, I posted this years ago, perhaps someone would apreciate it more now, or explain it?

Post got removed from /ufos

Idk why.

What to do if you find an Alien body?

Hypothetically;

Let's say you were out hunting, and you stepped into a random spot in the woods to releive yourself. As you urinate, you smell an ungodly smell. Not dead animal, but not like anything else... you look for the source as you finish your business and as you zip up you see the weird skinny torso leaning behind a tree.

Walk around to investigate and it's a dead rotting alien. Looks like a grey I think but it's hard to say. Might have been green and the green rotted away?

It looks blue and nasty and is kind of falling apart.

After figuring out it's definitely not human you run home to get a Polaroid camera. Take photos until you run out of film and then scrape dirt and leaves together and bury it under a big mound.

Now you are at home having bagged and thrown out all the dirty clothes and trying desperately to bleach the smell out of the hose and off your skin. You have about 10 or 12 good Polaroids.

Investigation Alien - If this is all George Knapp has to offer at this point, I fear he's wasted almost 4 decades of his life.

I've been looking forward to watching this series since it was announced. Spent the night watching through the entire thing and I am utterly disappointed, and disheartened.

The whole thing is absolutely ridiculous. Nothing but anecdotal testimony from random strangers from around the world, claiming they saw lights in the sky.

There's a few parts where George has some of his buddies do some really basic, half-arsed investigatory work into stuff underwater using sonar equipment, which they carry out about 25ft from the shore of an island. They find nothing more than a few unremarkable rocks and show a very questionable video of a light going into the water.

I'm interested to hear what everyone else thinks because I honestly felt like I was being punked while watching this. It really felt like a joke. It had me questioning whether George has been paid off by some sort of government agency to make a spoof film and bring back the stigma around the topic.

Serious Question. So many aliens' bodies have been recovered by now of any age and any conditions. Did they all die at the same time? Maybe a virus? Or did they pull the trigger on their own after ending their mission on this planet?

Cephalopod NHI in the ocean

How plausible do you think it is that some of the Non-Human Intelligences (NHI) interacting with humanity are actually earth-based creatures that evolved from cephalopods, like octopuses or squids?

Cephalopods are among the most intelligent invertebrates and rank as some of the smartest animals, second only to primates. If any sea creature were to evolve to fill a role similar to humans, octopuses would be strong contenders.

Octopuses first appeared around 330 million years ago, providing a vast time frame for a sapient species to potentially evolve. According to the Silurian Hypothesis, detecting ancient civilizations would be extremely challenging, especially if they were aquatic. Perhaps the aliens and UFOs we've been observing aren’t extraterrestrial at all but are highly evolved earth-based beings that predate humanity.

I know it’s insanely speculative, but this idea has been on my mind for a long time.

Inter-dimensional

Are ghost and shadow fingers and there sounds are just inter-dimensional being who just happen to overlap with our reality from time to time? Since dimensions and alternate realities are overlapped with each other they can leak through. Aka glitch in the matrix. thoughts ?

Trying to identify this anomalous flying entity/object found in Connecticut? Navigates in the air without wings, propellers, wires, lines or visible means of propulsion. Thought it could be some kind of advanced drone until it attacked.

How did we lose our sense of wonder?

It seems like, as we grow older, daily routines, responsibilities, and pressures often crowd out the sense of wonder we naturally had as kids. Life's stresses can make us more focused on efficiency and predictability, and this can dull our openness to new or unexpected things.

Another part of it could be that our brains get used to things quickly; experiences and ideas that once felt magical start to feel "normal" the more we encounter them. We might stop noticing details or questioning the everyday mysteries around us. Plus, with so much information at our fingertips, things that might have filled us with wonder before can now feel "explainable," even if we don’t fully understand them.

But wonder is something we can revive! Trying new experiences, going to unfamiliar places, reading about the unknown, or simply observing nature can help us rediscover it. It’s a mindset as much as it is an experience.

What’s happening now is extraordinary and could change how humanity sees itself and its place in the cosmos. Maybe interest will build as more concrete evidence or experiences come to light. But it’s strange, isn’t it, how something so monumental is still met with a collective shrug?

What do you think?
