Hello X-Men Reddit community, I need a little bit of help. I was reading some of the X-Men comic books, but I got lost, and I’m trying to figure out where the current runs in the main universe are, if there are other runs in alternate universes, and I was just wondering, you know, Jean and Scott have always been two of my favorite characters and one of my favorite couples in comic books and fiction. I was just wondering if they’re still together. The last time I read, I believe they were almost back together. I was just wondering if anything has changed.
X-Men 8 is the first part of raid on graymalkin but it’s only important to Mackay’s run because if you’re reading uncanny x-men you can skin this issue of the crossover and start it in Uncanny X-Men 7 as it gives us enough context of both teams.
Uncanny 7 show us what the both teams are up to when they arrive into the prision and how they both met, while X-Men 8 is only centered in Scott’s team and we don’t see any Louisiana mutant until the last page.
Issue 9 is relevant because is the main fight between both teams and the liberation of Charles Xavier.
I think this is how Uncanny X-Men issue 8 might go:
It will start with the meeting of Kwanon, Kurt and Charles (as a flashback) to then jump to see the moment of how they are all together and their reactions to Charles not being inmate X and the revelation of who inmate X really is for him/she maybe escape and Charles’ escape too as he will not appear in any book until march. The other two team would get caught in a grudge and left with their teammates and all the mutants captived would escape, leaving the prision alone with Dr. Ellise and her people, looking to hunt Scott’s team with personal and Rogue’s with the sentinels.
What do you think
I've animated quite a few of the 92 Masterpieces set at this point. This was the first card I worked on. Hope y'all enjoy it!
Just what the title says. Like if he catches a cold, or covid, could he just shift into his ice form and kill all the germs?
But also, we have tones of helpful bacteria in our bodies that we actually get very sick without. And that’s clearly not happening in the cannon.
Yeah I know I’m thinking too hard about comic logic again. Also forgive me I have not read every comic. If there is a cannon answer I haven’t gotten to it yet.
So, thoughts? Opinion? Comics I’m a fake fan for not having read? What’s everyone think.
I’m trying to get through the X-men and Wolverine movies because I really want to watch Deadpool and Wolverine but I can’t let myself watch it until I am fully caught up on the X-men and Wolverine Lore. But I’m having trouble making sense of sone things, and I just don’t get it and I need help because I know that I’m missing something, and O don’t know what
These are the X men Movies that I have seen, in the order that I watched them in
Deadpool
Deadpool 2
X-men
X-men 2
X-men The Last Stand
X-men Origins: Wolverine
X-men First Class
X-men Days of Future Past
Where I got tripped up at first was the end of Origins, going into First Class.
I know that Origins is a prequel and takes place before the first X-men movie but the existence of one charatcer is throwing me off: Emma Frost
Apparently Emma Frost is the sister of Kayla. And she is saved along with other mutants, such as Scott. At the end, we see Xavier, WALKING, and we see him about to talk to the mutants, presumably to take him back to his school.
But then I watched First Class, and was really confused because Emma Frost was there too, as a grown woman. This doesn’t make sense because this takes place before Origins, meaning that she should have been closer to Charles age. But that wasn’t the case in Origins.
So, I deemed that First Class was technically in another universe, not only because of the Emma Frost thing, but Also because Charles Xavier looses his ability to use his legs while he’s still a young man, but we can see him walking in both Origins, and Last Stand. Also, Charles and Eric were still buddies at the beginning of Last Stand, while they were recruiting Jean as a child.
But now I just watched Days of Future Past, and First Class IS the same universe and I’m even more confused because that means all of the timeline differences actually happened and I don’t know how that’s possible.
DOFP just gives me more questions. If Charles was in such a slump, what convinced him to go back to teaching?
Yeah he got control of his legs again, but with the price of not being able to use his powers.
So then how was he using his powers talking to the mutants at the end of Origins, and the Beginning of Last Stand, while he still could walk???
And I know that these last few questions don’t matter anymore, because the last 50 years got reset. But I’m still confused?
What am I missing, can anyone explain?
welcome to Essex Fabrications where we make the top of the line genetic monstrosities for all the vile needs of our machine Lord and master NImrod.
im you friendly corporate interface here to start your onboarding into our chimera division
Limited Power Types: Chimeras cannot include abilities that inherently create unlimited resources, clones, or other powers that risk making them too dominant.
Examples of restricted abilities: Multiple Man’s duplication, or reality-warping powers like Scarlet Witch’s.
an exception can be made if the chimera is meant to be non combative see Designate IV-128
Weakness Required: Your chimera must have at least one significant vulnerability (e.g., rapid fatigue, instability under stress, or heightened sensitivity to specific conditions).
failing to follow the rules will result in termination and collection of genetic materials
remember to have fun and that GOD is watching
in order to foster creativity we at Essex Fabrications will allow exceptions to all rules( except the mandatory weakness) for especially devious (or funny) ideas see Designate IV-033 for details
I tried my best giving wolverine from the first X-men movie a mask
I just read one and a half issues of the new West Coast avengers and it was pretty fun. Ultron who is a member was very cool and definitely has something going on. It was nice to see firestar after she had such a big role in the x books last era. Art was nice and it was just a fun read.
I
What's your ideal trilogy as in
Who's the villains? Who's in the team? What's the story etc
I am not sure if this is the place to ask, but I was recently playing X-men Legends on PS2 and found out there was a trivia quiz you could take. One of them was about who is immune to Rogue's power and the answer was Colossus. I rationalized that it is because he can turn his skin to organic metal, meaning she is technically not touching skin anymore. Is that assumption correct and if so does it mean people like Iceman in ice form are also immune?
How did the editors miss this one?
I'll be honest, I was pretty bored with the Judgement Day storyline (and everything after, except the Deadpool run was great). I had so much fun reading this story arc! Things like Judgement Day were supposed to *matter*, but I couldn't care... You knew from the beginning of SoS that the timeline would be reset, so the specific stakes didn't matter, but that's also what made it so great -- just pure imaginative, exploratory fun. To watch this amazingly thought out plan just fall apart so quickly because of the ego of Sinister was delicious. The explanation of why there were Orbis Stellaris, Doctor Stasis, Mother Righteous, and Mr. Sinister was interesting, how they each played out was cool. I really dug Vox Ignis and the Nightcrawlers storyline. And the Immoral X-Men, to see the counsel member's Sinister-corrupted personalities a neat take. And the whole thing was just Storm porn! Badass Storm being the baddest of asses. I wish we could see more of Jon Ironfire, too.
I know that there's some plot holes and some things either dragged on too long, didn't flush out, or were just meh... but so far I think this was my favorite storyline of Krakoa. The concept of using Moira as a video-game save point is hilariously brilliant and Sinister as hell!
Now that I'm done fanboying out, I'm ready for everyone to tell me how wrong I am lol
PS: I also realized that, reading through the entire Krakora era, my favorite storylines have involved Sinister (and I wasn't exactly interested in him when I started). Hellions was amazing and so enjoyable.
Hello everyone, I have always been a fan of Wolverine although I never used to read comics. I've seen some X-Men movies and now I am watching all of them. So I know there is a guide to reading the comic series but I am more of a book type of person. And I would like to know if there are any books written about the X-Men series.
