What are you energy bills looking like these days? City of Waukesha.
2200 sq foot house and I just got a bill for $330, along with an $80 water bill. Normal numbers? Curious what others in similar homes pay.
Oh sure, a “quick drive” through Waukesha – because who wouldn’t want to get stuck behind a train, play dodge-the-potholes, and marvel at how every intersection turns into a maze at rush hour? Meanwhile, folks from Milwaukee think they’re just "passing through." Sure, buddy. We see you. Try navigating the Kettle Moraine without Google Maps, then we’ll talk.
Hello all
I am looking to have my Carharrt canvas coat that is 20+ years old touched up with some leatherwork around the cuffs and pockets due to fraying. Can anyone recommend a shop for this?
Didn't know our resident boot licker was this local. Is there any ongoing resistance or spokesman group in Waukesha against him?
Hey Waukesha peoples,
Not familiar with the area but will be there tonight. Anything fun or cool going on that I could check out? Thank you!
I am looking for a new hair stylist after my usual gal decided to close up shop and switch careers.
I have had really good luck with dry cuts on my curly/wavy hair, so preferably a place that provides dry cuts as a service. I have heard my texture described as "Irish hair" but I have no idea what that means exactly!
Just got a great job opportunity where I'd need to move but our lease isn't up until June so I'm seeing if anybody is looking for an apartment in the area (it's located in downtown Waukesha). If you, or someone you know is looking to move and maybe doesn't want to commit for a whole year feel free to reach out. The pictures are just how we have it now, so keep in mind it wouldn't come furnished.
I intend on transferring the entire lease (rent, security deposit, duration, etc)
Below is all the info about the apartment: It’s $1,425/month
Overview of the Apartment Building
Living Room / Bathroom & Bedroom Entrance
The address is: 100 Corrina Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53186
• 753 sq ft
• Brand new floors (just installed last month!)
• In-unit A/C and heat for year-round comfort
• Private patio for relaxing outside
• Stainless steel fridge & other modern appliances
• Separate room for toilet and shower (sink in a separate space for added convenience)
• Heated overheat light in bathroom
• Large walk-in closet
• Garage parking & storage units available
• Access to a workout room and entertainment amenities

• Washer/Dryer right down the hall (not in a basement)
• Great location (downtown Waukesha) with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and more!
• Live right next to Fox River
Talked to the leasing office yesterday and they said as long as someone applies and is approved we can transfer the lease contract to them. Feel free to reach out if you got any questions!
If there's a better/different thread I should post this under don't feel bad to let me know
My girlfriend's coming up in a few days, and neither of us had a good private place to hang out. Does anybody know any spots in waukesha to park my car where the police really wouldn't care? I don't care about areas that close, I just need a daytime spot.
Thank you, reddit! Please help soon..
I've got some free time tomorrow and would love to work with an artist. Any recommendations?
What do yall do for fun? 30m used to skate around town at night to relax, but being couped up has gotten me down. Anything to do outside the house now that it's colder than shit? Also shout out to the homeless people I've met along the way, I hope yall stay warm!!!
Hey all, looking for what these meetings would be considered in the Waukesha Calendar and anyone else opposed to the idea of "million dollar housing" going up in replacement.
I work for a company that cleans the carbon copy houses I've seen in places like Pabst Farm in Ocon and numerous other swatches of post-farm land around the county. It's disgusting and borderline dystopian in the 1-Dimensional use of land and i never really get the chance to speak up. Considering this is my hometown and I went there myself, I find this particularly worth raising hell over.
First time posting here, hello! I am wondering where I can find a really good bloody mary. I don't care about price since It's one of the only drinks i like. Best one ive had so far was at Cafe Hollander. First watch's bloody was actually terrible and Mimosa wasn't much better. Im just not a fan of the super spicy yet bland/watery taste if that makes sense. Any ideas?
I'd prefer near the downtown area but I'll consider anything. I haven't had them in ages, and I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks so I'd like to treat myself.
I coulda sworn there was a place near Fuzzy's that had them but so far (according to online menus I've found) I can't find any.
EDIT: I should emphasize the reason why I'm saying "pub" and not restaurant. I just think pub food, in particular pub burgers, go best with deep fried mushrooms. Nothing against restaurants, pubs just suit this particular itch better. Thanks for all of the suggestions, I'll look into them.
As title states, I would like to join the blue collar work force, no matter the position. It also does not matter if it is seasonal, part-time, or anything of the sort.
i got a speeding ticket for 31 over on the freeway, it was on the hill on the 55 right before it turns into a 70, my buddy was letting me test drive his BMW because i just got accepted into a engineering position and got the highest offer i ever had in my life and i am used to a honda civic. the torque took me a new one let me tell you holy !@#$ i did not expect that and before i knew it i was wayyyy over the speed limit. i tried to slow down but the officer allready was behind me. he even mentioned that he saw me slowing down but the speed was so high there was nothing he could do he did not seem like he was in the mood to conversate or talk, all the other times officers seemed more conversatable it was weird made me feel very off put to be honest... how screwed am I? this really was just a honest mistake. i havent had a ticket in like 4 years i moved to this area 5 years ago and my tickets IF i get them are for barely over 10 and typically in those speed switch areas or in new areas i dont really drive in much. the officer did not charge me with reckless driving. just a speeding ticket. should i hire a lawyer? he made court mandatory and i have never been to court before i dont really know what to do. i honestly just want to pay the large speeding ticket. learn that god may not want me to have a nice car and get this over with and stay with my slow boring civic..
I moved here from south asian country. I have experience with Mobile app markerting, digital marketing, social media, games publishing, content writing, product marketing, and project management. I have worked with multiple companies. I have Masters degree in computer science but from outside of US. I have been applying for more than 2 week but unable to find or get response from even a single job. May be people dont hire because experience mentioned on my resume is outside of US. I even applied to departmental stores like wallmart or meijer. Called meijer as well to know status but nothing got well. I am not sure if i ll be able to find job :( this is so stressful . I dont have friends here. I posted in waukesha facebook page qs well but admin did nt approve my post :( :( :(
Anyone know of a good rentals in the Waukesha area? I tried apartments.com but it seems like that is programmed to show the most expensive places. I realize that rents have risen though. Ideally I’d like a 2 bedroom, or I’d take a 1 bedroom with extra space. I work from home so it would be nice to have more space to set up my computer. Right now I live in a one bedroom + den. I’ve found that garage parking is hard to find with rentals too. I guess I just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has anything. I currently own a condo, but the HOA fees are crazy ($520 a month + my mortgage). I can’t afford a house on my own. Looking at not spending more than $1200-1300 per month. No pets.
Driving home from Culver's tonight I saw a drone flying over the water treatment plant on Sentry drive. After scanning the sky, I realized there were 4 more circling in all directions. I live near the hospital so I decided to go up to the top of the parking structure. Once there, I counted 15 or more flying all around the perimeter of the city. Has anyone else seen them tonight? They all appeared to be the same model with red and blue alternating lights with the exception of one being a different shape and displaying white lights.
Hey guys, I'm just a local Doordash driver and needing to make money lol so just curious what restaurants and what times of day and days of the week ya'll typically order food on so I can know which restaurants to hang around and which days and times to drive lol. Just figured I'd ask. Or if people use UberEats or GrubHub more too maybe I would switch to those so lemme know!
Does anyone know of any charities that will pick up large pieces of furniture? I have a few large items that I would like to donate but can't deliver it myself.
If anybody knows this person or who it is, gimme their insta handle, I wanna do a photoshoot with this rad thing
Anyone near one of the lakes that can report on ice conditions? Itching to get out and fish Saturday.

As the title says, I was terminated from my job. I don’t have a great degree for a bachelors, but I do have one. I am also starting out my masters program (starting my second semester soon). What should I do other than apply everywhere? I filed for unemployment. Any other next steps or things I can do in the meantime to create some cash flow, any places hiring day of?
Hi everyone!
I will be relocating to the Milwaukee area for work. I'm looking forward to my move! Because of where my new job is, Waukesha is somewhere I could live while having a reasonable commute.
As someone who would be coming in without knowing anyone, I guess my question is would you recommend Waukesha to a younger single person? I'm wanting to move somewhere I can still reasonably commute while having the ability to meet new people reasonably. Thoughts on Waukesha for someone in my situation? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
I know this is a long shot but I'm going to try anyways. I apologize in advance for the vagueness of it all, my memory isn't very good.
I worked at the Bank One in Waukesha back in 2001-ish and then moved out of state around 2003ish and haven't been back since. Downtown in that area was a huge liquor store that was pretty popular and then across the street was an amazing bakery. I don't recall the names of either place, but that bakery sold the only feta cheese and black olive bread I've ever seen and it was super, extraordinarily delicious. Does anyone happen to know if this bakery still exists and what it's name is? Or where I might be able to find some bread like that?
