Restaurants with good catering?

Serving 20-25 people for a holiday party and we don’t want to cook. We are looking for good restaurant catering options/experiences you have had in Waukesha/Brookfield or Lake Country areas. Either pizza/pasta/beef type, or maybe Mexican. They are not super adventurous eaters. Any recos?

Where to find specific liquor/liqueur in Pewaukee/Delafield?

Hi all, I am trying to find a bottle of Fernet Branca or Averna Amaro (preferably both) somewhere in the Delafield/Pewaukee area. Have tried multiple grocery stores (PigWig, PickNSave, etc) and Brews liquor store on Capital Dr. No luck. Where’s the best source for liquor etc beyond standard bottles, please? (Does not need to be open right now, just trying to get some this weekend). TIA

Where to donate a frozen turkey for the homeless.

Tomorrow my company gives all employees a single frozen turkey for Thanksgiving. I would prefer to donate mine to the less fortunate. I called Jeremy house but I can't get a hold of anybody. Would anybody be able to recommend somewhere I can donate a frozen turkey to help feed the homeless or a family in need?

Update: Jeremy / Hebron House called me back and I was able to donate it to one of their shelters! Thank you all for the suggestions on where to go.. very good information to have for the future!

I need help

I need help. Between getting fired and my car immediately breaking down on me, hindering my ability to fond a new one, I don't know what to do. Is there anyone in the area that could come take a look at my car and help me figure out what exactly is wrong with it? I have reason to believe it's the alternator. Dm me.

Seek suggestion for indoor swimming pool in Waukesha-Pewaukee-Brookfield

Hi,

I am new to this area.
I am looking for just a lap swim pool in the Waukesha-Pewaukee-Brookfield area (not needing a full gym membership).

I live in Brookfield and Brookfield Central High only opens to community lap swim once on Monday night (about $20 a month).
My goal is to have another place to swim once or twice more in a week.

Thanks!

Where to live 55+

Ready to sell my house. Where's a good condo complex, or even neighborhood, in Waukesha that has a vibrant community?

Where are the singles at?

I am new to the area and wondering if there’s some sort of online sort of singles meet up that I could use to meet people. Not a huge fan of bars.

My kids got one of these each for Halloween.

He also has on a garbage bag.

To pwn the kids I guess, for Tony Hinchcliff's racist joke.

Rehoming Kittens

Hey everyone, sorry if this post isn’t allowed but I have some kittens who are looking for a new home. They will be 8-weeks on this upcoming Monday and I’d love to be able to rehome them myself instead of taking them to HAWS (ultimately if I have to I will take them in). Feel free to comment under here or message me directly if interested!

Don’t forget to vote!

Head to myvote.wi to check if you’re registered. It takes 30 seconds so you could do that in line or something.

Also, there’s a state referendum to vote for. If passed, it will change the state constitution in a way that would disallow those living in places not their current voting district to have their votes purged. This includes college students who stay in dorms. It uses the word ‘resides’ which doesn’t technically have a strict definition according to our constitution (as opposed to ‘resident’ which has a very clear definition), meaning that the change to the state’s constitution would be easily twisted to disenfranchise large groups of people. Gene Elders.

Anyone have a pic of the 70’s-80’s Gene Elder tow trucks? Dodge if I’m not mistaken, flames on the front, mag wheels. Supercool.

Missing Person-Pewaukee/Waukesha area

I have spoken with the missing man’s sister, she and their mom are coming from Indiana to get his dog from HAWS and to search for him, so they are not familiar with our area at all. They are also getting conflicting info on where his dog was found, so they have no leads on where to start looking for him. If you have any information, please contact:

🚨FYI for donations to victims of Westgrove apartment fire

Posted on FB by Dakotah Marie, Property Manager:

Please consider joining this group if you are able to donate to those affected at West Grove. This is a group for those able to donate PHYSICAL items. I’ve had a ton of people reach out since my post about boxes and totes. We are currently working on a link to make monetary donations to be split between the tenants in the building. Once we have the link set up, it will also be shared in every community group possible. This is a public page, so please feel free to share with others!

LOST CAT

LOST CAT UPDATE: Tokki is home! After 8 days (almost 9) out in the world, a kind stranger was walking her fur babies & saw his flyer that we just hung at 300pm the same day. Only a few moments later she found him meowing on the corner only a block from our home, where I had searched many many times. He’s pretty skinny, has a gash on his leg, but overall he’s happy, healthy, and thirsty! He’s snoozing away, and I couldn’t be more happy and grateful, my heart feels healed.
