Something occurred to while catching up to 3rd season:
Where are all the mahjong players? I know it's a very popular game in China but I don't think it's ever shown in the show.
Admittedly, I know only barebones about it. Is it not a betting game? Historically not very popular at the time?
Any kind of information would be appreciated!
On every post I make about Warrior I get alot of comments from people begging me to tell them How they can watch it in The U.K.
Somebody just asked me and said it would do massive numbers there. Do you guys know if it will eventually be available to any other countries?
What other countries is it currently available in besides Canada, The U.S. etc?
Spoilers ahead!
For me they were: 1). Sophie getting the factory blown up (I yelled at her while watching 😅).
2). Jacob getting lynched
3). Penny being locked in a mental asylum

We Still Scrapping!
does anybody else think that season 3 gets too much shit? it wasnt as good as s1 and s2, but it was still a great season. people forget about the fact it was necessary to slow things down, especially after the riot, plus its not like the acting or action was bad in season 3 at all, we had some insane character growth in it yet people seem to throw that aside cause it wasnt s2
Why was it canceled 😢😤 I hate this new era where shows barely make it past 1 season. Warrior is such a good show and I hope Netflix picks it up and lets the show continue. Anyone know if there’s somewhere we can contact Netflix to petition for a season 4? TIA
Honestly they're one of my favorite parts of the show. Absolutely fucking fire 🔥
Spoiler question ..
Do you guys think with how season 3 ended the siblings would form their own Tong if we get a season 4? It just seem like they have nowhere to go to , they’ve betrayed both their Tongs or would they just pursue other goals like help Ah Toy?
If they form a new one how?
I was just wondering if there was any connection between the hop wei and their lack of braid. I’ve seen that the Long Zii clan, all of them, have the braid. Is this for aesthetic purposes or is this historically accurate?
I am not a professional, but how was this show not honored for costuming. I mean, Ah Toy’s dresses are on point!
These do not detract from my enjoyment of the show but Ive been thinking of some. For instance in the saloon in Nevada they drink whiskey from French Bistro glasses. Not sure those would have been made in this time period. The Chinese pharmacist gives Penny a drug in a bottle. Its an ink bottle appropriate more or less to the period, and perhaps would have been reused in that community as a cost savings, but most druggists would have had access to small narrower bottles with corks.
The other thing I enjoy noting is anachronistic language. It can be hard to pin down because slang we think is new is often quite old. But all TV and movie writing now uses language that modern audiences will relate to. I can't think of any examples right now. And nothing has suspended my disbelief. Don't mind me I cant help it.
Love love the show. Was feeling nervous for everyone from the start of Season 3. Great writing to keep folks separate yet intertwined.
I’m ready to scrap with some ducks in the pond! You get me?
I’d never heard of this show until it showed up on Netflix and I decided to give it a go. I thought it was a fun show to watch while I was doing chores, but not really a sit back and watch kinda show. That is, until I watched episode 5: “The Blood and the Sh*t” when I realised I was watching something truly special.
I then binged through the show and got to S2E9: “Enter The Dragon”, and I realised I was witnessing television greatness.
For someone who’s stone faced through most “emotional” moments in shows, those scenes with poor Jacob were genuinely heartbreaking. The guy barely had any screen time to begin with, but the build up from his terror and anguish to >!him getting lynched!< was painful. And then I see the angry mob assaulting and murdering innocent people who were simply trying to earn a living; a young child standing next to her comatose mother amidst all the violence. The sheer injustice of it all really made me feel for those poor people back in those days. And Ah Sahm and Li Yong putting aside grievances with a single look to combat a common threat? Incredible.
I see so many shows dragging out scenes, but this show seems to have figured out just the right amount of time to show each scene, allowing the audience to really experience the gravity of the situation. Amazing direction.
And man, those action scenes? I don’t even remember the last time I witnessed stunt choreography of this calibre. Absolutely phenomenal.
I just can’t believe how this show has remained under the radar for so long. Season 3’s ending was great, but the ambiguity of it all really left me craving for more. I know nothing’s been confirmed and it looks like a 4th season is unlikely, but if anyone at Netflix is reading this, please resurrect this show.
I hope the fact that Netflix picking it up and it being super popular means we will get a season 4. has there been any talk about it?
Had to say it.
I felt like before season 3, they were getting to some story about Buckley that they decided to scrap. Mai ling realized he had a “type” for prostitutes as she waited for him. If I recall correctly, the type is red heads. They showed a scene with him washing one of the prostitutes hair.
Then there was the flashback when his leg was amputated. I think the nurse was a redhead. Was that the only significance with him and prostitutes?
He also seems to hate being touched (or he gets really anxious when threatened). He held his own when Leary confronted him and pressed his knife against Buckley. But after leary left, Buckley threw up.
Buckley seemed like an enigma, but in season 3 he just seemed distrusting but wanted love.

Sleeper faves
3.Dylan 4.father Jun
You?
So get drunk. Get sticky. Get back to being the baddest fucking tong on Netflix!!
Just curious. I'm enjoying it so far (on episode 3) but I have a hard time watching something knowing it kinda gets left by the wayside
I have noticed when Chao and Ah Toy speak English to their own people, their English is perfect but when they speak to "ducks" their English is somehow broken. Do they do that intentionally or subconsciously and what's the reason for that ?
Ah Saam and Young Jun doesn't have that issue.
Where my boys at???
