I finished Banshee last week and fucking loved it, however looking back I felt like the worst portion of the show was early to mid season 2 specifically during the murder case on the Kinaho girl and the search for the Amish kid. I just felt they were both such minor characters that they focused on it a bit much, compared to looking for the serial killer in season 4 because he was thought to have killed Rebecca. To be fair though after that part of the second season I found boring I met Chayton, my favorite antagonist.
I mean wtf he came for her in banshee and in the ending left without her . Her fucking husband was dead right so couldn't she hook up again' with him??? I wasted my time watching this series
I've seen loads of clips of him fighting the albino. I've just started the show again. I assume that's a flashback ?
Did anyone else struggling with the start, I watched the first episode and really struggled. Did anyone else find this or am I just odd 😂. I've heard such good things so really want to like it
Emily Armstrong and her previous band Dead Sara's song The Weatherman is in the closing credits of Season 2 ep 3.
For me this was one of those must have 100% fully hooked from the 1st listen
Soooo glad she's with LP now
Nola's throat
OR
Chaytin shotgun face
Guys...this fandom...this subreddit needs an discord. Seriously, Disboard is devoid of Banshee fan comunities. So, mods..please i beg you.
This is my first time watching and I'm literally halfway thru S3 E7: You Can't Hide From The Dead. I started watching about a week ago and I was not expecting the story to go so damn deep. The first couple eps I was like "yeah this is good", but by the end of S2 I was just blown away with the story. There is hella sex haha but it is what it is ya know, however, the character development is awesome. For really everyone in the show. Starr is fuckin incredible in it and pulls everything off very well. It's awesome to see his progression to where he is in the middle of S3, especially after you know whos death by the hands of the giant psycho indian. Not gunna lie, that one really got me big time. I was not ready for that. Legit stopped the ep and turned it off for the night. Honestly was going to continue cuz I actually felt bad for S and for "Hood" hahahaha! Overall, it's a WILD show and I'm glad my brother told me about it outta nowhere cuz he's never watched it, so I randomly gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. The gang is literally making there way underground for the big job and I'm very nervous. The way they're setting up all these cameras has me a little worried to say the least. Hope you guys are having a great week and feel free to give me your opinions on anything I've commented on here or something I left off! And now to press play and see if they pull this off
Anyone else feel like Anthony Starr's performance in Banshee almost hurts his Homelander performance? I'm not saying he's bad in the boys he's great but he doesn't really get to use the full scope of his range. Just curious if anyone on here had seen The Boys before watching Banshee or even the other way around and it changed their opinion on Homelander
Im a little bit into season 3 of the show and out of every show Ive watched this show has an insane amount of sex scenes; it’s like literally every episode lmao.
Warning: This post contains spoilers for all four seasons of Banshee. Read at your own risk!
I just finished watching Banshee, and man, what an experience! The show was absolutely insane in the best way possible—gritty fight scenes, top-tier characters, and writing that kept me hooked through all four seasons. I don’t know how I’ll move on from this chaotic masterpiece.
Let’s start with the fight scenes. They were phenomenal! But I have to admit, while I was hyped for the Hood vs. Burton showdown, I was a little underwhelmed by how it ended. Hood overpowering Burton by just breaking his arm felt... anticlimactic? I mean, Burton was built up to be an unstoppable force, and I was expecting a bit more of a challenge. He had so much potential, and it felt like they didn’t fully capitalize on it. Anyone else feel the same?
Speaking of underutilized characters, I loved Nola. She had so much presence, and I feel like she deserved more screen time. The writers did an amazing job overall, but there were definitely some characters that didn’t get the justice they deserved.
Another thing that kept me guessing the entire time was Hood’s real name. I kind of liked that they left it a mystery—it fits the whole vibe of the show—but part of me really wanted that reveal. What do you guys think? Did you prefer not knowing?
Oh, and does anyone else remember the Moody brothers from the first season? (Kyle Moody, I think?) Hood killed one of them at Proctor’s party, got jumped by the brothers, cut off one of their ears, and was even sleeping with the dead brother’s wife. I thought for sure they’d come back into the story later, especially in the final season, but... nothing. It felt like a loose thread that could’ve added something extra. Did anyone else notice that or am I just overthinking it?
All that said, Banshee was a wild ride from start to finish. The story, the tension, the raw emotion—it’s rare for a show to pull off something so consistently amazing across all its seasons. I’m definitely going to miss this insane little town and all the chaos it brought.
What were your favorite moments? Did you have any storylines or characters you thought could’ve been explored more? I’d love to hear how you all felt about the ending—satisfying or not? Let’s talk about it—I need to process this with fellow fans!
i have avoided this subreddit like the plague, watching banshee for the first time - just found out it was a show like a week ago lol - please no spoilers after S3E5!
Okay, I honestly wasn’t super attached to any of the characters until now, Siobhan’s whole death scene LITERALLY had me on the edge of my seat - it was so fucked up, and i knew chayton was gonna do it i’m so pissed “Lucas” didn’t just cap his ass - i guess it shows how desperate he was. Although Emmett and his wife’s death was a total shock and so sad, this literally has turned me off the show - “Lucas” and Siobhan were so growing on me (and i am liking carries deevoludtion lol) - idrc about the kai/rebecca storyline it’s veryyy weird
Yes. He is sinestro now
I’ve read so many times on this sub recommendations to watch Justified if looking for something to scratch the Banshee itch. Everyone seems to rate it right up there in their top three favorite shows, along with Warrior which I watched and loved.
So I finally gave in and decided to try Justified, especially since I’ve always really like Timothy Olyphant since I first saw him in “Go.”
Now, don’t get me wrong— it’s pretty good so far (I’m only five episodes in) and I’d probably give it a solid 6.5 out of 10 at this point, but I’m not yet seeing anything special to warrant the 8.6 IMDb rating it currently has. At this point, it doesn’t feel a whole lot different than any other weekly “cop assigned to a place he doesn’t want to be” stereotypical show. Maybe slightly better dialogue and, of course, Olyphant’s charisma, but still nothing special. Certainly nothing to put it in Banshee’s league.
My question is if it’s going to get a lot better as it goes along? Is it just a slow starter and I need to give it at least a full season for it to really find its legs? If so, I’m perfectly willing to hang in for that. But if you Banshee fans think Justified’s first episodes were as great as Banshee’s, then I guess I’m just in a different mindset.
Really curious.
Just started ep1 and damn from the opening scene it's got me.
love the show, super kick ass but i dont remember ever seeing that someone opened the safe in the trunk of the police car.
P
This is like Banshee in movie form. budget Quentin Tarantino, unbelievable cast, what a rocking ride.
The city become a ghost town? Rewatching the series and noticed that… no one out and about. It’s wild.
On episode 4, the random black and white flashbacks are annoying as fuck. Do they eventually stop or is the whole show like this?
The high school is held captive by two loser gunmen during a Saturday detention. Carrie/Anastasia betrays Hood and gives him to Rabbit to kill. Hood escapes in time to save the day at the high school and saves the daughter of the woman who just betrayed him. Oh yeah not to mention it’s actually HIS legitimate daughter too.
This is damn peak storytelling holy shit. God tier levels of drama
