How is the “student life” at Wake Tech, I was thinking about joining some clubs or being more involved at Wake Tech, any recommendations or any clubs that are still open?
Self service officially has my refund as in progress, it’s the 3rd drop down now. So if y’all were freaking out like me, take a look at your self service. 💕💕
i recently left wake tech, i requested a withdraw from all my classes cuz that’s what i was told to do and now they’re saying i can’t get any refund of any sort. i need that money back, that’s why i left, cuz my family needs it, but they said there’s nothing they can do. someone please tell me there’s something cuz i pay out of state tuition so it’s like $3500 paid in full.
Hello! I have 4 classes, 3 started August 14th, 1 starts in October. Let’s say my balance says -2300, is that what I get or will it still be split up? And what are the chances I get dropped from a class before disbursements? Currently these checks are all I have til October so I’m relying on it (hence why I ask a ton of questions) Thank you in advance
Who here has taken CSC 151 Java programming online with Andrews Ying. btw I don’t know the first thing about programming should i take this class and risk my gpa?
i was curious about whether or not professors at wake tech have access to previous year’s essays?
Does anyone have any experience or tips when it comes to taking calc 2, we already have our first test set for Tuesday, and I already feel really behind. I don’t want to end up retaking the class but I wouldn’t be opposed to it, so what could I do?
Please let me know they email me a bunch and I assume you have to pay to join what’s the point ?
This might sound like a dumb question, but every time I’ve been to the scott northern testing center, it’s only been for paper tests. I’ve never taken an online test there. Soon, I have to go in for a proctored exam on the computer, and I’m genuinely confused about where to log in. I’m assuming I just use my Wake Tech email and password to log in & go to blackboard considering my test is on there? I’m really confused and just want to be prepared. Can someone explain? lol
So I just started fully online courses at Wake Tech for the fall semester and my goal is to get an associates of arts and transfer to ECU to get a bachelor’s and masters in psychology, so math is basically useless to me other than it being required. When I asked admissions office I told them I’m absolutely terrible at math, like not even tutor worthy, to give me the easiest math. They swore mat143 was easiest, so I’ve been taking it and I’m currently struggling like I don’t understand anything. What are the other math options available that will give me the right credits/requirements for when I transfer? Is there anything easier?? I really can’t do this and thinking about dropping the class soon and retrying next semester or something. I hardly passed high school math (here in NC) so I really can’t do math at all and I’m panicking I don’t even understand excel at all. Any advice would help.
EDIT/UPDATE: I’ve now dropped the class and plan to take another math in the spring semester. Hopefully that one will be easier and I’ll try to update which one I take and if it is easier!
Hey everyone, Im thinking of taking some online courses next semester but the issue is my webcam doesn't work and I can't afford to get a new laptop. What are some online courses (any subject) that you all have taken which doesn't require proctoring or video for major/final exams?
To anyone enrolled/has been enrolled/has graduated from this program, I want to enroll next year, but I need to continue working due to my life situation rn. Is it possible to keep working on weekdays while being in the MLT program? I’d appreciate any responses. Thank you
I’m taking CHM-151 online. Also working pt. We’re almost 1 month into classes and I feel like I’ve barely learned anything - I’m struggling. Anyone have experience/advice on taking this class online? Please help out!
Is anybody else having trouble emailing or getting a response from their teacher? I have been emailing my teacher for a week now and no response. I got real life stuff going on. Wtf is the point of asking for help and I can't get a response?
Currently taking bio-111 @ east campus with Dr. Luc. The class has been a little difficult and our first test is in a few days. Anything specific I need to prepare for or any ways that will help me study the best? Thanks.
I am taking Chem 090 and I am struggling with this. Any tips or advices please? I’ll have a 1st test next week but it seems to me to memorize all.
Has anyone taken ENG 111 with any of the three teachers ?
I am deciding whether to take it now in the 8-week session or wait until next semester for a better option. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find ratings for these teachers on Rate My Professors. Any insights or recommendations on which teacher is best would be really helpful.
Why is it saying I’m partially ineligible for part of my financial aid? I am taking 4 classes that are within my program, and I’m passing them. Anyone know?
for the nursing classes can we take multiple classes at emcee like for example can we take Introduction to Health Concepts with another nursing class or we take each one alone?
hey guys, to whoever applied for nursing program at wake tech what was your overall points after taking pre requisite? and was the classes hard for you guys? any advice while taking the pre requisite classes? also how long did you guys have to wait to get the acceptance letter? and was the teas hard?
because of personal reasons, i cant continue at wake tech and im really confused on how the process goes. i want to resign from the school altogether, not just one class. does anyone know how that’s works?
With my work schedule I am always 5 mins late so I always miss the attendance. Today was the first day I had actually missed this semester and I went to check Blackboard and I was withdrawn no email, no warning except one email last Friday asking why I was absent?? even though I was in class every day. Is there anything I can do to get back in
I started last week in fundamentals of food and baking my baking teacher is understanding but I don’t have the correct hours so I’m scared she will drop me for missing days but the fundamentals of food I sent the man a email the uniforms and he never responded so this week he dropped me without warning
I sprained my wrist really bad on Saturday, to the point where any little movement was met with a lot of pain and fatigue. Because of this, I missed my Sunday assignments for all the classes I’m taking, but this one particular professor decided to drop me from the course for it. No one else did this, and I didn’t notice he did until right now, as I was writing down all the things I need to catch up on tomorrow. Is this even allowed and what should I do?
Does anyone else have online classes that start on Thursdays and end on Wednesdays? I have three. Does anyone know why they are doing this? It seems a bit strange and random. It makes the weekend the middle of the week. I wonder if professors will respond to emails over the weekend given this.
Has anyone used their services, especially the free counseling, and had good experiences?
I know they're there for a reason and I should just book something and find out on my own, but stuff like this was offered at a few corporate jobs I have had before (I'm non-traditional) and they were always kind of a bit of a joke.
Had to spend a good 40 mins panicking if I had missed a deadline and there was no obvious answer. Despite the mandated online counseling saying there is a deadline to file form and to check the website, I finally got in contact with someone from Financial Aid to confirm there is no such deadline. Posting this so I can help another worried person who may google this question.
I have no idea how to sign up for classes or where to start in the enrollment process
I just checked online to find the food truck schedule and can only find the ones going to Southern Campus. Are there any that come to RTP?
