Anybody heard about LVT technologies for surveillance camera

Recently got reached out by them for a job, did a research and found out they are a series B startup but very limited discussion on them could be found online.

Had anyone worked in there (tech job) and what is the experience? Is this company worth joining?

Full time jobs in Utah

I graduated with my marketing degree last December, but cant find a job in marketing. For the past year I have been working part time at a job I hate hoping to find a job that lets me use my degree. I recently found out that I am going to be a dad so I have been frantically looking for any full time job that pays at least 17 an hour. Does any one know of any companies in Utah that are always hiring?

Trying to fill a few work from home contracting positions (other languages)

Hello! I'm looking for people that are able to speak/write in the following languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Hindi) More emphasis on the later 4. This position is a contracting gig and not a normal job.

We are a dubbing company that needs our translated transcripts/audio to be verified by someone with a very high level of knowledge and ability about the language, and able to work well with a computer/communicate to us in English. We pay based on about $1/minute of the project you get. Video length ranges.

Message me directly if you're interested or know someone who might be!! This could be a very good gig for someone that fits. Have a wonderful day!

Utah public employees association beware

Beware of UPEA and working for them. It’s all corrupted. They won’t give you info on benefits until youve signed into and it doesn’t seem like management knows what they’re doing. Very unprofessional and rude. They’ve also fired nearly all of their previous employees.

Looking for lumper positions at moving companies!

Recently left my job for a new one, but unfortunately found out some illegal things about the new company after the fact so I am currently without a job. I'm interested in doing lumper work for moving companies. Does anyone know of some moving companies in the area that would be good to call? I can work any day of the week. I prefer to begin my shift at 8AM, but I'm flexible. Minimum $18/hr or $150 a day, self-employed or under the company. I'm hardworking, and a quick learner.

Willing to work hard

Been looking all over comparing housing prices to job listings and I’m getting really discouraged. Grew up being told if you work hard enough you can get the American dream. I’m willing to work incredibly hard. Currently working full time and trying to start my own business on the side and still stuck at less than half the wages required for home ownership. Any recommendations for where hard workers can earn there way?

I’ll run for your Strava (or with you)

Want to post on Strava but don’t have the time? Or need a running partner to keep you accountable?

I can either run FOR you and post on your Strava account or run WITH you if you’d like a consistent, running partner.

I run 5-6 times a week, the maximum distance I can offer is a full marathon, and the pace ranges from 7:30-12:00 per mile.

Prices vary depending on distance and pace but ranges $25-50

I know this can sound a bit outlandish but I’ve done this for many people in other cities!

DM me if interested

DX (developer experience)

I'm interviewing with DX sometime this week. Anyone know much about them? I know what they do but Glassdoor doesn't have much and I can't find much about what it's like working there. I noticed on the job posting there was no salary range, which concerns me 😅

[Seeking] Software dev looking for a C++ shop

I'm a developer with over ten years of experience, primarily in React, Java, and C#. For several years, I've been working on a C++ game engine from scratch and have developed a strong affinity for C++. However, C++ roles seem difficult to find, and I'm hoping to secure a position that primarily involves C++.

A little known job area that’s always hiring

I work as a Direct Support Professional. This is a human & social services line of work. Very few people I meet know or understand what it is but every related company I know of is gravely understaffed at any time. Now it can be challenging work but it’s credibly rewarding and usually easy. There are no prerequisites to qualify for this, it is entry level you receive all necessary training upon hire. You work with individuals with intellectual disabilities in their home or at a day program helping them with daily tasks to live more fulfilling and independent lives.

A typical day looks [for me] like: cooking dinner with my client, building grocery lists, shopping with or for them, going on meaningful activities like the zoo, the mall or wherever. And documenting progress notes on the computer.

It pays on average at least in Utah a minimum of 16.50$ starting wage at my company, TURN Community Services. (I have seen similar companies asking roughly the same sometimes more). Which is imo one of the best companies in the state from my experience. We are a non profit. You will gain immense experience in conflict resolution, customer service, de-escalation, and a ton of other skills. I’ve been here for six years at this company alone. My company is also doing a hire on bonus and referral bonus if you’re interested in learning more. This is not a babysitting job! It takes the right kind of person to like and enjoy it here. If you care about helping people this may be the right place for you! Look into this line of work if you’re interested in learning more by searching Direct Support Professional on your job search. Feel free to dm me for more information. :)

Are tech jobs underpaid in Utah?

This could be an isolated issue, but I am curious. I worked in an analytics role for six years and was paid what I believed to be a decent salary. It wasn’t until a coworker left the company and now works a similar role at a company that is more nation wide rather than Utah based. He immediately made 20k more. I began looking and found an employer similar that works on a national level rather than Utah and I’m now making 25k more. I am wondering if it’s seen by others as lower than national average for pay?
