What do you think? I'd certainly like to learn more about them. For such a remarkable and fascinating species, they did not get a lot of screen time. I'd like to see more clearly what they look like, how they behave, and what unique talents they bring to the table.
Now, I'm not saying they have to join Starfleet (although that could be cool), but I just want to see them more. Perhaps an episode where the academy class goes on a field trip to the Ten-C homeworld to study them, but then it turns out we have to save them from some threat. It'd be cool to meet the species that decimated the original Ten-C homeworld, and have to protect the Ten-C from another assault.
#r/LowerDecks ...
... your home for discussion on the animated comedy as it begins its final season on Thursday, Oct. 24!
With nods to every corner of the franchise -- the more obscure, the better -- Star Trek: Lower Decks has wormed its way into fans' hearts just like Ceti eels worm their way into ears. Yes, there is consternation that Paramount+ is ending the show while it's still going strong, but there are ten more episodes of churro-flavored goodness to enjoy. May your bananas remain hot and may the Cerritos keep on trekkin'.
The massive gold statue they'll have in his honor just doesn't provide the same homespun wisdom.
I hope that there will be at least an episode or two a season elaborating on the history of various planets in the quadrants. Even as just a B story, I'd love to see the answers to problems often be found by digging through the history of the worlds. It feels like a lot of the quadrant's history was glossed over in Discovery, which felt like a missed opportunity considering how much they could have done with it. I'd love to see them elaborate on what has become of Qo'Nos, Ferenginar, Cardassia Prime, etc. They could even do little episodic shorts like Short Treks, but featuring various historical figures and crews that the class is learning about!
To which planet would you most want to see them go on a field trip?
