The "Tor" in the subreddit's name refers to Tor Books, a heavily SJW science fiction and fantasy book publisher that's been involved in shutting out politically and ideologically incompatible authors from both the industry and awards organizations, particularly the Hugo Awards, for the past couple of decades. The book publisher has no relationship with the secure internet routing protocol and associated software by the same name.

Once you make your submission, please choose a flair (or type one in, if none of the defaults work.) A detailed guide is available here.
Spoiler Tag How-To:
reddit does not have a native spoiler tag facility, so we've implemented one in the sub's CSS.
Use Markdown link syntax. The anchor section can be blank or can include a spoiler warning. The link section must include the string #s, a space, and then the spoiler content in quotation marks.
For example:
[](#s "This content is protected by the spoiler tag.")
is rendered as:
and
[Spoiler warning!](#s "This content is protected by the spoiler tag.")
is rendered as:
Multiple paragraphs and Markdown syntax are not supported for the spoiler content. Only plain text is supported. If your content stretches to multiple paragraphs, declare a spoiler tag for each paragraph.

I started the sub r/reproducibilitycrisis. It should have grown fast. Thousands of members the first day. It is the sub on reddit to publically discuss this.
I am promoting it now. Consider joining it and posting, and commenting.
Thank you,
VT
As I understand, the Sad Puppies movement was a cross political movement seeking to broaden political representation in the Hugos and bring attention to deserving authors who were spurned for writinf stories instead of sermons. However, the Wikipedia page labels it a "right wing anti diversity" movement, im the opening line no less, and sources itself to opinion articles of all things. What's more, going back MONTHS every edit to remove those effectively unsourced lies has been IMMEDIATELY counter edited by one of a small group of editors apparently watching the article.
I've sent a notification of vandalism to the suggested address, but honestly I expect little. Has anybody else attempted to tackle this. Does anynody have any "reliable sources" with which one might source a different opening?
a bit late for this, but the idea came to me only this morning. strangely, I can't find an e-mail address on their website. I don't use Twitter.
Outside the sidebar. It seems like it has noble ambitions, but rarely does anything worthwhile. Is it to stick it to Tor? Is it to smoke out badness in genre fiction? Is it to just post about how bad fantasy and scifi has become? I've been a member here for a long while yet it seems like nothing really happens very often. I'd really like to see this place become a focal point for ousting the SJW infection in Fantasy and Scifi, but it just kind of sits here...doing nothing. Is it too late to even use this sub in that manner?

Schechter, who has been in fandom over 20 years and co-chaired the successful San Juan in 2017 NASFiC bid, asked to be called on and made several comments:
I said that we were supposed to be talking about new masters but instead were talking about old ones. I remember saying “old white men” at some point in that description of the old masters, but not about the panelists (two of whom are not White). I did say that there were not any women on the panel (there was one assigned, but she didn’t show up-which I didn’t know). My comment about the female authors was in reference to the contrast between the men being discussed.
I did tell Greg that his use of the word “honey” was “offensive.” He tried to interrupt me and I told him I was still speaking. Shortly thereafter, he declared, “This panel is over!” and left the room. The panel went on without him, with panelists answering several questions after that.
What happened next is that Christian McGuire, accompanied by someone from the hotel, located Benford at his 1 p.m. signing in the dealer’s room. According to Brandy Grote, “My husband witnessed him being escorted away by Hotel Security during his autograph session.”
