This time I got more fantasy books along with a few interesting ones. Ended up being pretty cheap too
Never heard of any of them except the one front Riley Sager (who I love) but after reading the summaries, I’m stoked
Husband took me to lunch and then book shopping as an early bday gift. This is my haul. Has anyone read any of these? I'm really excited to read the anthology!
It’s an old series lol but was weirdly a comfort for me. So to celebrate my 24th year and to reward myself for everything I’ve been through this past year, I treated myself.
Note: any May Bird readers here that have the old print? These ones didn’t come with the maps 😢
The “American Ulysses” book here, for reference. I do like biographies, and read Edmund Morris’s Theodore Roosevelt trilogy earlier this year (highly recommended for those that do!) I sprinkle them in, as they’re usually weighty and more sober reading. But I’m running out of storage! I read a lot on Kindle, and love that library because it’s condensed and doesn’t take up physical space. Same with Audiobooks. I just can’t get past the fact that it’s right there now and if I want to read it later (which I will), I’ll end up spending way more on it when the fancy strikes. Should I be discarding the one time fun reads at the local free little library when I’m done to free up space? Literally, some of these are stamped with “discard” from our local library, so they definitely don’t want them back.
A combined post of my last 2 hauls (technically last 3, but the 3rd was just me buying some beefy omnibuses off eBay) — in part from a library fundraiser sale/flee market and the other from a small used book store. I feel like I should have made a bigger dent in these, but I keep reading other things 😭
Which should I be most excited for? I’m halfway through Exhalation and Three Hanish Novels.
Found at a charity shop and could not leave it there.
Even better than the selection was the book seller on duty. I’ll be going back for the conversation as much as the hunt for books!
Sitting on a bottom shelf at my local Goodwill. I've never grabbed a $2 book faster in my life!
Online used book order, not sure which to read first!
