So, I got the audiobook for Terminator 1+, and admittedly, the AI generated narration voice is distracting and taking away from my enjoyment of the book, which is actually well written. I think I might purchase a physical or Kindle copy.
I found the AI narration and monotone, inconsistency pacing and delivery with tegards punctuation and sentence structure (pauses etc). I know some loved it because they felt it was Skynet reading to them, but I found it distracting.
To those who listened to the audiobook, did you it, because of the AI narration, or you enjoyed it in spite of it? I couldn't get past the first chapter, does it get better? Or it's 11hrs of the same monotone voice?
So while I watching Terminator:Judgement day with my friend and after an hour of watching he said something like "Terminator? More like midminator!" so I got mad and created time machine and sent cyborg to kill him while he was in kindergarten. So reddit, am I asshole for this?
For me the best Terminator movie is Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I watched that movie so many times.
I saw this so long ago and came across it again. It's so funny!!
Hey Everyone, check out this Python script I wrote that mimics the visual aesthetic of when John Connor hacks the ATM machine!
Let me know what yall think or if you have any ideas for improvement, one new to coding so any tips to improve would be great!
With Terminator Zero having been released, I started asking myself, what if during the mid-late-90s Madhouse made a Terminator anime film with Yoshiaki Kawajiri directing it. Given the kinds of anime he made (Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, Vampire Hunter D), he would seem to be a good fit for a 90s Madhouse-animated Terminator anime, especially if it goes in the direction of the original 1984 (which Zero also did).
Hello All
The scene where the Terminator kept walking while being shot at point blank range from a hail of gunfire. What happened to the aftermath of that? Had the SWAT Team tell their superiors what happened in a detailed report and told to keep it quiet? I kind of feel bad, that the Terminator kind of ended their careers and now probably demoted to traffic duty.
I saw this at Universal Orlando in 97 or 98, then at Universal Hollywood in 2011. Was sad when they got rid of it! This was better than Terminator 3.
Update: link has been updated to a video of the entire show
Even though he looks slimmer in design, it seems to me he is stronger than the 800 series? He threw uncle Bob like a ragdoll on the mall scene.
I know that "the phone book killer" has been referenced on this sub before. But i just want to point out the insane implications a little more.
If you imagine the T1 and early T2 universe, it is crazy. In T1, the news stations are all over the case of an alleged phonebook killer who murders two women by the same name. But that subplot is quickly dropped in T1 because of the wider picture that is presented to us as viewers.
What we would know from a news reporter's perspective: There is a third Sarah Connor in the phonebook. Her address is a crime scene with several people having been murdered. She was seen in a bar having been shaken by the television broadcast. There was a massacre nearby in a club, where an uzi was found that was registered by a gun shop whose owner was murdered. Many witnesses can describe/identify the people involved at the club.
The news stations will also know that Sarah Connor's mother was murdered.
There are also police tapes (which could be leaked to the public) that show one of the club shooters talk about cyborgs, time travel and the end of the world. It is known that the exact police station where that interrogation happened was attacked and many officers were murdered shortly after, and surveillance footage of the police station exists as well.
There is a trucker who saw a man with a red robotic eye highjack his partner's truck.
The list goes on. Bottom line: the terminator is basically america's most wanted even when going into the events of T2. The "conspiracy theory" of time travelling robots will gladly be picked up by sensationalist media outlets. And as for Sarah, no way she can live an undisturbed life up until the point when she tries to blow up a factory between T1 and T2.
T1 and T2 are basically a crazy mess if viewed from the perspective of normal citizens in that universe. What do you guys think?
Before I get downvoted into the deepest parts of Reddit, let me clarify: Iβm not talking about changing the plot or actors!!!
By "remake," I meant updating or enhancing the CG and practical effects to make the movies more immersiveβwithout altering the tone. Think of it as a touch-up, like adding a cherry on top.
For instance, imagine refining the T-800 endoskeleton walk, making Arnoldβs damaged face look more realistic, or enhancing the T-1000βs liquid metal effects to add more realism.
I know it probably wonβt happen, but what if AI could make that possible in the next 5 years?
Thanks for reading.
The T-800 needs to cover itself in organic tissue to travel through time. So how does the T-1000, being pure liquid metal, manage to travel through time?
After the nuclear war that Skynet started, why did it continue using the scant resources it had left to eliminate the few remaining humans remaining? Did Skynet believe that the remaining humans left, who had nothing left of their civilization, could pose a significant threat to its existence? Or did Skynet have some genocidal programming to insure its survival?
Like if you touched his belt would it feel like leather or if you grabbed his walkie talkie would it feel and weigh the same as a normal one?
Many people think of movies like the Matrix when it comes to stylish longcoats. While everyone is entitled to their opinion and we're all cool, it was the first Terminator that made me want to get a coat. Namely, Kyle Reese's AG274 army raincoat that he wears up until his arrest (afterward, he wears a shorter version that is a navy blue. It looks cool too (he's got good luck and taste for one who grew up in an ugly environment), but that's not my focus).
For one thing, it looks simple as it's not flashy and is meant for common use by everyday folk. Another is that it looks super comfy as it looks lightweight (i.e. meant for moderate temperatures as opposed to thicker coats for warmer weather). And despite appearing to be a common everyman apparel, it looks dramatic and badass with how beautifully it folds and flourishes (helped by being light) (example, the slow-mo shot of Reese readying his shotgun at Tech Noir. Another, for some reason for me, is when he and Sarah steal another car and he crouches down, the coat tails neatly folding over his body). Not to mention, it creates a cool silhouette whether it be at nighttime (like when he walks away after acquiring his shotgun in the into) or in the daytime (after he saws off the stock of his gun and wanders off, making birds scatter).
I'm sorry for gushing about such a simple apparel. I just can't help but find it to be the coolest longcoat. Not saying it's the best (to each one's own). Just my personal favorite. Does anyone else feel the same way?
