If this timeline became true with the humans barely scraping by. Would there be any possibility for mankind to win in this reality? It was such an awesome and frightening scene in T2 seeing so many T-800 skeletons stepping on human remnants and skulls. I think it'll be a great popcorn flick.
Why have they feminised this movie so much? Is it a crime to have male leads these days? They have literally spent millions making a shit movie by trying to follow this weak watered down politically wanna be correct world that we now sadly live in.
What's next? Santa a woman? Women can be kings? Men using tampons to 'feel with women ' day?
SKYNET and the magic of poorly photoshopped Christmas. ✨️
In my opinion, T2 is still the most successful Terminator film in the franchise.
When I was a kid, I had a badly edited version of the first film on VHS. It was taped off an American TV channel in 1992. TV edits in the 90s were infamous for their weirdness “yippee Calle Mr. falcon. “comes to mind, but this was the only edit I’ve ever seen that I actually thought was better. The scene I’m referring to is the discussion between the two cops right before Lieutenant Traxler goes on camera. In the film. Traxler asks.
“how do I look? “
The other cop replies with” like shit boss. “
He replies with “your mama, “
but in the television version when he asks that he replies with
“like you’ve been dead for a week. “
So my question is this is anyone ever seen this .? because I’ve tried looking it up on YouTube but I’ve never found any trace of it.
I thought it was interesting to have a dead timeline T800 stuck when Skynet is never created.
Other than that nothing I really liked.
Genisys I actually liked more.
First of all, I apologize for my English. I’m from Brazil and I’m not fluent in the language. Anyway, I recently rewatched all six films in the Terminator franchise, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the potential that the fourth movie, Terminator Salvation, had. I feel that a movie set in the future, showing the war against the machines, was an interesting path for the saga to follow, but unfortunately, it was wasted. That said, I’ve been thinking about how I would have made this movie, and I want to share with you how my version would have played out.
My movie would start exactly where T3 ended, with a narration by John Connor accompanying some scenes showing Skynet’s nuclear attack and the beginning of the war. After that, we’d have a scene of John and Kate finding a small group of survivors who are desperate and don’t know what to do. John would start leading them, showing them how to survive, and thus, laying the foundation for the Resistance.
From there, the movie would cut to a few years later, perhaps in 2018 as in the original T4. By 2018, the Resistance would already be somewhat established, and John would be on the path to becoming the great leader he is destined to be. Forget the whole Marcus arc; my movie would focus entirely on John and Kate, showcasing the war and all its horrors. The setting for this war would be based on what we saw in the future scenes in T1 and T2—that dark, desolate environment.
The biggest threat here would be the T-600s. There would be multiple scenes of them infiltrating and attacking Resistance members. John Connor would be a complex character, dealing with the pressure of becoming the leader he’s prophesied to be, along with the trauma of his experiences with the T-1000 and the T-X in the previous films (and, of course, the trauma from Judgment Day). We’d see some scenes of him having nightmares about the Terminators, as well as flashbacks of Sarah Connor teaching him certain things.
I’d remove that part from the original film where Skynet was hunting young Kyle Reese, because it wouldn’t make sense—it couldn’t know he’s important since it wouldn’t be possible for it to know his past. Instead, I’d do it like this: a group of Resistance members would discover a Skynet labor camp and gain access to a list of prisoners’ names. This information would reach John, and he’d discover that Kyle is one of the prisoners, prompting him to launch a rescue mission.
Now, we reach the climax. The Resistance invades the camp, and we get an epic conflict between humans and machines. The prisoners escape, and Kyle is chased by a T-600 until he’s cornered. At that moment, John appears, shooting the Terminator, turning to Kyle and saying, “Come with me if you want to live.” Then we’d have John and Kyle in Skynet’s facility, about to escape, when suddenly, a new threat appears—something they’ve never seen before. Something that looks human but isn’t. It would be Skynet’s first T-800.
The fight between Marcus and John against the T-800 in the original Salvation is interesting, and I’d reuse a lot of it. However, in my version, it would be John and Kyle fighting the Terminator, which would seem unstoppable. We’d have the scene where John gets his scars. It would reach a point where the T-800 is about to attack Kyle when John strikes it with a piece of metal (just like Marcus did in the original movie) and rips off its head.
After the final fight, they’d blow up this Skynet facility and be rescued by a helicopter. The final scene would be John talking to Kate, recounting the encounter with the T-800 and saying that everything is happening exactly as foretold. There would be a weight to this dialogue—a reflection on how they’re failing to change their destiny. At the end, we’d have another narration by John, similar to the one in the original film, and that’s how it would end.
I know it’s not perfect, but this is the movie I would have liked to see.
Our family did Christmas this morning, since we're hitting the road tomorrow. My wife went for a T2-3D theme, getting me a ball cap AND a script for the show! (The signatures are copies, but that's okay for me).
I hit the freaking jackpot.
I know we have seen a Terminator without it's skin in 1984, but it was dragging its leg. I would have loved to have seen it running like we did Arnold. And of course, it's mouth moving and talking.
It would have been such a simple thing to put into the convoluted and fussy sequels, but that deceptively simple coolness was missed.
This is my personal ranking of the sequels of the film Terminator 2. I love all of these films, just I love some more.
Hey all,
Wanted to stick my head in here and wave hello to the Terminator community. T2 is a top 10 film of all time for me. Simply the greatest action movie ever made for my money.
I've actually launched a bit of a niche podcast. It's called Frasier On Film and, well, it's not so much about the TV show Frasier as it is about all of the celebrity guests who appeared over the years.
My first ever episode launched yesterday and it's on our very own Linda Hamilton. I basically deep dive into her career, explore her life and then focus in on one of her films, which in this case is Dante's Peak.
Would be so cool if you guys could give it a listen, and if you like what you hear, there'll be more to come!
Cheers
I am not sure what it is about it, but the Skynet Edition cover art with the close up shot of the T800's skull surrounded by black is just awesome.
Where can I watch these two movies? They aren't available on the streaming sites I have.
Never gets old
It’s currently $9.99 on Steam, $19.99 on PS5, and $15.99 on Xbox. The DLC is also on sale for all platforms. If you were waiting for a sale to pick this up, now’s the time.
It’s a fantastic game!
Hello everyone, I am a 28 year old terminator fan who grew idolizing T1,T2 and T2 3-D in Universal Studios Hollywood. I think I have an idea that could actually be a good sequel, but I want to get feedback before I try my hand at screenwriting it. Normally my brother would be who I talk to but he has passed away. Is there anyone interested in hearing it?
I've watches the first couple episodes and it's okay, but some of the characters are sort of pathetic or just sort of unresponsive or something, idk. Is the show good?
