Terminator, Terminator 2 Judgment Day, and Terminator Dark Fate is the best trilogy but I'd like to hear others opinions
Is there anything left other than the Sarah Connor chronicles? Is that show worth watching?
Sarah Connor's anti-technology/government terrorism in the late 80s.
At the time I think it was just because the heroes lost and most films wouldn't typically do that. On the surface level, that seems worthy of praise. But at the time, I don't think that would have made things much better for people since it only further contributed to fans's discontent at the film for continuing the storyline of T2 Judgement Day and basically going against the entire meaning of that movie.
Now said meaning is "There is no fate but what we make" which can be the truth if Humanity rebuilds Skynet, but still people wanted to feel like that optimistic redemptive message wasn't being disrespected by saying "Well, humanity actually isn't that great after all and will set up Judgement Day as a thing that will happen" So at the time, it didn't help much.
But in hindsight, there's something respectable about the film sticking to it's own guns. It sets up the notion that Judgment Day can't be stopped, only delayed. And it sticks to this notion till the end with the realisation that they were never meant to stop it, they were only meant to survive it. And it does link up pretty fluidly with the future war flashbacks in the other films. Not to mention with Terminator Salvation which came next.
So in that sense, it's a good ending but one I assume took years to click for people. There's blockbusters that do stick to their guns, but this one does so at the expense of audience satisfaction which is worthy of praise when many others would have just had the heroes win yet again.
This has probably been asked a thousand times so apologies if it's a repeated question.
So in Terminator 1 Kyle Reese says that nothing dead can go through the time machine. Hence way the T-800 has living skin over it's metal frame for infiltration and potential time travel.
But in Terminator 2 the T-1000 is said to be a Mimetic Polyalloy, a type of liquid metal. If the entire thing is made of this material then wouldn't that mean it's incapable of time travel?
Or should I just accept as "Movie Magic" and just enjoy the movie 😅
Yeah, this is a little silly, but I do enjoy how stupidly funny scenes like this look in reverse. Specifically the cartridge flying back into the pistol, Pepsi Man being revived, and how The T-1000 looks like he's randomly leaning back.
I understand in the films they state that anything metal not encased in “living tissue” will be destroyed by the magnetic field but hypothetically if the magnetic field didn’t turn exposed metal into a shrapnel field that would kill anyone inside, rather more of an EMP affect on the weapon, why not give it a shot? With a freshly dead animal or even if they were that desperate (which they certainly seemed to be) a freshly dead human? why not try? If your fighting for your very survival and that of the remnants of the human race I’m sure stuffing a corpse fill of weapons to give Kyle any advantage possible wouldn’t seem too gruesome or cross a line. Was there anything established in the movies that would lead me to believe it’s not feasible? What further believes me that it would be possible to some extent is the Liquid Metal terminator didn’t seem to have a problem coming back despite not having flesh over him, he didn’t seem to have skin, rather just the Liquid Metal taking the form and appearance of skin. Thoughts ?
So we have iconic weapons in the first two films. The T-800s longslide with laser sight and DA OOZI NEIN MILLAMETA.
And Uncle Bob has the 1887 shotgun, mini gun and M79 launcher.
Which got me to thinking, are there really any iconic or memorable weapons from the later films?
T1, original VHS with original sounds, or all singing all dancing 4k version. I know what my choice would be, all day long.
I never cease to admire the skill of James Cameron and the team that created this great film. In this video you can compare the original 1991 movie trailer and my LEGO trailer.
My favourite one 😁
IF there were to be a new series, who would you cast in these roles?
Sara Connor.
John Connor.
The Terminator Protector.
Would it be the original T-888 from the first series, a T-1000 from T2, a TerminatriX, I.E. T-X female version from T3 or a T3000 from Genesys? 🤔
Side Note 📝 📋 1.
With the original series, now in its 15th year of ending, would fans be open to seeing Summer Glau return, as Cameron or as the new Sara Connor? 🤔
Side Note 📝 📋 2.
Would you bring back any characters from the original series & would it be the same actors or new ones? 🤔
Side Note 📝 📋 3.
Would you base the series in modern times or in the future? 🤔
Thank you, everyone, in advance for participating 🙂
