Calling My Fellow Robots!

I'm keen to know if anyone else is dealing with the same issue as me. My uni assignments keep getting flagged for possible AI use, even though I am doing my best to keep thing original. It's honestly a bit frustrating. It feels like I have to change how I naturally write just to avoid these flags. I've even done it for this post!

To clarify. I do use AI in my research phase for gathering required information efficiently. I would, however, never use it to write my assignments. My assignments are all business format and required to present facts without personal extrapolation. I find that makes me sound even more like a robot.

For my last assignment, I ended up simplifying my writing to make sure it wouldn't get picked up as AI. While it got through without any issues, I ended up losing marks for it, which is pretty disappointing. It's made me wonder what kind of impact these changes are having on my quality of work and if it is even worth it.

It feel backwards to have to water down my own voice just to avoid sounding like an AI with the way I combine words and structure my sentences. I'm also worried about what this might mean for my writing skills in the long run and my ability to get my ideas across. Is anyone else feeling pressured to change their writing style because of this? I'd love to hear from others who've had similar experiences. How's this shaped your time studying and how do you approach your assignments?

I struggle to study silently

I always study out loud meaning I kind of act like I’m teaching someone the content? Which makes it hard for me to study in libraries/cafes and also speaking for hours straight gets tiring eventually, any tips on how to efficiently study silently?

Socially anxious students, how do you handle in-school presentations?

I have this computer class, and our teacher made our major project a presentation. Usually i'd be alright with it if we could do it with scripts. To me and my classmate's dismay, we aren't allowed to use scripts. "You need full mastery of your topic". This made me panic and fear the day of presentation, its a week away and i dont really know what do to and how to approach it. I tend to be really shaky during presentations, sometimes my groupmates need to calm me down in order for my shaking to stop. I imagine the pressure i'll feel presenting this will be ten-fold. Im scared of forgetting everything under pressure. Please give me tips, i really want to improve.

Offline flashcards?

Hello does anyone know a way to create flashcards offline and study them offline using a similar algorithm to Quizlet? Looked into Anki but it is really hard to navigate. Interested in something more simple.

I will be in a car for 10+ hours these next two days and need to make the best use of my time studying. Thank you very much!

Need a free Chegg answer. Any good way to bypass the Chegg blur without paying?

EDIT: https://discord.gg/dwHNzBNypv This seems to work best, it also supports other sites like Course Hero & Quizlet

Hi everyone. I discovered one of my exam questions posted on Chegg shortly after the exam closed yesterday, and grades are due by Monday.

Previously, I had access to a paid account through a contact who could share screenshots, making it easy to identify copied answers. Unfortunately, that’s no longer an option.

I've used Chegg’s takedown process in the past, but this process normally takes about a day and doesn't provide the actual solution posted. I tried reaching out to Chegg’s support directly, but after getting passed through multiple reps who couldn't assist (and kept asking for account details I don’t have), I’m wondering if there’s a better way to get a quick response with proof of instructor status.

Thanks for any advice!

Offline studying organisation app?

Hi!

Anyone know a good app/method for organising my tasks, notes and deadlines that's also offline? I'm currently using notion but my school's wifi is awful so it's not that reliable. Preferably free and with a good design but I'm not picky.

How do you study for a subject that you don't like?

My parents made me (f 16) take business at school even though I hated the subject at school and they expect me to pass with flying coloursas they believe it is the most important subject. I can't find the motivation to study and I'm currently getting high B's and low A's but this is not good enough. Please can people send me tips as idk what to do?

Lately I’ve been studying less and my grades are dropping

I’m in high school and I’ve always been an A student but lately, I’ve been getting 60s and 50s. I haven’t been doing homework everyday and I’ve honestly just been playing Roblox and talking to my friends. Today I had a science test and it’s like I forgot everything and I know I’m getting a fail on that test. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me or why everything is declining. Really it’s starting to make me feel sad. Can someone please tell me how to fix this or how to help this situation?

Does anyone also take a very long time to study biology?

Im starting to think I'm stupid. I'm spending like 6 hours on a 3-4 page lesson. Yes it has alot of information that I'm not really familiar with but still. What I usually do is write and keep repeating then write again and keep repeating until I finish. I just want to know if there are other people like me and any suggestions on how I could maybe be more efficient.

NEED HELP FOR UPCOMING BOARDS!!

(reposting from r/cbse cuz no one responded yet)

Preboard datesheet is out, starting the 30th. It's finally hit me that I need to stop messing around. I started 10th grade hyped up, studied every day, took notes, paid attention in class. But after summer break, things went down.Family stuff got me off track, amd since i lived alone, no one was around to nag me about boards exam pressure...too much freedom, I guess.

Before summer, I was doing great, even scored 93% in the monthly test(which doesn't matter at all but still made me happy) After summer break, though, I took everything lightly. every senior I took advice from told me boards is easy,so i took it easy. BUT NOW ITS NOVEMBER, I've barely touched 0.1% of the syllabus, and midterms slapped me with 62% right on the face(that too i scored only from the memories of listening the class lectures. i had not studied at all). And math is the real headache. I know I can pull decent scores in other subjects if I prep before exams, usually 30+(outof40) in each. But I barely pass in math. I'm lost. Where do I start to get back on track with preboards around the corner?

Does anyone know an app for habitual reminders?

I’ve decided I’ll start following a precise routine for studying because without a routine I tend to let go too easily. So I made a studying schedule a workout schedule etc etc but I don’t know how to follow it properly when it’s only in my head. I’ve been looking for an app where I can set the same reminders on the same days of the weeks forever without having to set each one separately.

Weird feeling while studying

So tomorrow is my maths test.I have normally been good at this class and i had just some little topics that i didn't clearly know so i studied on them. Then i decided to have a look at the example questions and boom,i failed correctly doing the questions that i'd normally easily solve.I felt stressed and began to have a bad, weird feeling. As this feeling increased i kept studying but this made it worse, with this feeling i felt like i have just dropped some iq points that it would take me a few times to read to comprehend what the questions ask.So as this kept i began to feel like maybe i just feel stressed and i should give it a rest or something but then i worried about what if the same happens in the test tomorrow and this doesnt get any better.I also still feel like i should keep solving but i also feel like i shouldn't keep studying. Both makes me feel bad and i am just waiting for tomorrow hoping it will just go well.I just wanted to ask how may i come over this feeling, and have any of you experienced this before?

my midterms is in 2 weeks and i didnt open my books yet

i watched many tips on studying, but none of the videos spoke about ACTUALLY getting yourself out of the depressing slump youre in and fr start studying. Something about me, i never studied but i somehow made it to 9th grade.

I dont understand how flashcards work, does highlighting really help with studying? do i need my notes??

Need some tips to study effectively!

Alright, so I have some upcoming tests starting next week on Tuesday and so far the progress I’ve had is horrible. I won’t be going to school till Monday so I have like 4.5 days to get prepared. I don’t have many chapters in each sub but I haven't learned any of the chapters properly. Can someone give me some tips on how to stay motivated throughout my study sessions and try to cover as many topics as possible in a day without getting distracted? 😅 What are some methods y’all use and get good grades while also not stressing yourself last minute?

4am study method

Has anybody heard about the 4 a.m. study method? It’s when you wake up at 4 a.m. to study, taking advantage of the quiet and focus that comes with early mornings. Has anyone here tried it, and if so, how did it work for you?

best note taking app for studying?

hey! i recently switched from a macbook to a windows laptop, that has the ability to write on it via pen. ive been using goodnotes, and although it isn't perfect, i dont know what to use now that i have a windows laptop.

ive been thinking maybe using goodnotes on this laptop too, but its not nearly as good as it is on apple but i could sync my notes, but you also have to subscribe and for it to not work as well as on the ipad, im not quite sure if i want that.

i dont want to use one note because ive had very bad experiences with it in the past and it annoyed me so much.

i just need an app where i can import pdf-files, annotate them by writing and also by drawing. additionally, id love for it to have a function, where i can type in a new doc or something similar that can be exported to a pdf. ive had a look at notion but i am not quite sure if it provides everything im looking for. what do you use and do you have any recs? :)

thanks in advance!

Study stress can’t take it anymore

I really cannot take it anymore. Before I used to be a good student a really good one but then I had some family issues and messed up a whole year. I also had some health issues and my dad is abusive from time to time. I don’t have a mother and am an only child. Now I am trying to get back on track so I can go to uni and have scholarship. I have all science subjects because I used to be a star student so choose them. But now I don’t have any discipline what should I do? I’m on the verge of ending it all because I can’t take it anymore.
