Long time fan of Steve Earle, but I'm ashamed to say I don't know his whole catalog.
What are his best albums?
I see a cover of this by Steve Earle and Better Than Jail. I can't find anything about it. The performance is outstanding.
Great show. All the stuff you want to hear.
Need a spot for dinner before hand...
1 ticket Wednesday 6/19 Ramkat Winston-Salem, NC. 3rd row center. Pm me. My +1 can’t be there.
What's the magic chord progresssion in Me and the Eagle? It first happens in the song here:
but the [G]talons held [Am]true .... and then it goes to a D7 (maybe) with F and then F# bass notes?
Thanks
Are there any live recordings of this song? I can’t seem to find any videos, and I know he didn’t play it much on the tour, but I have to imagine there’s a recording somewhere out there. If anyone can point me in a direction, I’d appreciate.
I know it’s a long shot, but thought I’d try.
Is there a version of this song without the strings?
Performing “Hillbilly Highway” with the Old Crow Medicine Show.
My shows are consigned to only Scotland from 1990 - at fourteen years old - to 2015.
Intrigued to hear everyone's favourite shows and why.
I have many thoughts but just to kick things off, I'd have to say 1996 with David Steele on guitar was outta this world. Similarly, the El Corazon tour a mere 15 months later with Buddy Millar and Brady Blade was unreal.
I have many further - and detailed - memories of these shows, but I'm intrigued as to Steve fans' memories of special shows.
Anyone with a presale code?
I have my own thoughts, but would be curious to read other fans' views.
I know Mr Earle has and has had a lot going on, but I feel (hope) something new may not be too far off...?
It feels like it's been quite some time (tribute/homage records notwithstanding).
I am new to Steve Earle but Guitar Town is one of my favorite songs of all time and from what I've heard in his discography he has a lot of slower songs, can anyone recommend songs that are similar to the vibe of johnny come lately, guitar town, copperhead road etc.? (my apologies to long time fans for sounding so normie)
