I'm only here til Thursday and had a fully packed schedule - including a temple tour tomorrow. The clothes I flew in are not suitable for temples - is there any where easy/cheap to pick up some shirts/trousers that would be suitable?
Hey everyone!
Planning to travel into Laos from Siem reap by bus. I have heared that the specifically that border can be victim to curroption. Or the police giving me a hard time to enter, as a foreigner. I’m pretty relaxed myself, but after several warnings in Cambodia, I just wanted to ask here. Any experiences for what I should expect? Thank you:)

Does anyone have any recommendations for tour guides/tuktuk drivers for Angkor Wat please? Looking for someone who, apart from driving us to the temples, can provide some background info and stories about the place.
Tried u/siemreaptuktuk but he might be busy as no reply so looking for different options. Thanks!
I am considering renting an apartment on street 30, close to Khmer pub street (5 min by tutktuk). It's on an unpaved road. Is this area generally safe for solo female traveller? Thx!
Looking forward to build and have more widespread people that had interest in arm wrestling to join in this sports
I would love to extend my regular 30day tourist visa here in Siem Reap. Would also like to avoid doing a visa run myself to Thailand and avoid going to PP in person. Do you have any recommendations & prices for a reliable agency here in SR who is familiar with visa extensions for another 30 days? EU passport if that matters and my 1st visa is still valid until Dec 6th.
Hello beautiful cambodians!
Im looking for a case for my google pixel 8pro as my clumpsy ass already managed to drop it. Thankfully it didn't break but anyway.
No stores here seems to sell cases for Pixel phones, mostly Iphones. Maybe anyone know where I could find one?
Thanks
Just an information that the water festival is also being celebrated in Siem Reap as well on the 14th and 15th 😊 , attached is a song for the celebration 🎉
Anywhere in Siem Riep that might be showing the Ireland rugby match tonight at 3am?
Unlikely but hoping for the best
Planning to spend New Year's Eve in Siem Reat and it's going to be my first time in Cambodia. Any must dos / sees ? Also where do I get the USD while in Cambodia ? I can bring some Euros but not sure about where to exchange. Thank you!!!!
I was supposed to be going to the temples today. The tour guide messaged my friend who I was supposed to be going with and said it’s full and can we move it to tomorrow.
I really don’t want to set my alarm early doors again just to be let down. Can I just rent a motorcycle and go to the temple and pay for a day pass and do it myself? Or do people always recommend a guide.
I’m not really wanting to do a 3 day thing. I have a bad ankle currently so 1 day of walk-in will take it out of me and it would be nice to have my own scooter and go at my own pace.
All advice welcomed
Hey there, I (39, European, F) will be heading to Siem Reap by end of next week. Is there any other solo travellers that would like to socialize and meet up for some drinks, dinner or exploring the city? No dating though. Let me know 🤝🏼
Just like the title says. Where else can a person see a good sunrise over a temple complex without 1000 other folks? Is there anywhere a little quieter?
Thanks
Heading down to Siem Reap for a few days. Our flight lands in the early afternoon, and we are expecting some free time after checking into our lodgings, before dinner. The current plan is to check out pub street after dinner, then turn in for an early night, but we're not sure how to spend the time until then.
Are there any places to check out that can help us kill two to three hours?
I just realized my wife and I will be in Siem Reap during Victory Over Genocide Day. What should we know to be respectful of the day and the community and to plan our day appropriately?
Hey,
I am currently in Chiang mai. Looking at flying to Cambodia (siem reap) at the beginning of next week. Really looking forward to visiting the temples. Just wondering what the night life is like there?
There’s lots of things going on here in Chiang mai for Halloween, I don’t know whether to stay here and then visit after Halloween as there is some events on here.
Is siem reap just a chill vibe or are there things going on there?
Tia
Is it possible to cover all 3 in one day? Also, can we purchase separate entrance tickets for Beng Mealea or Koh Ker? I am thinking whether to purchase 3 day pass. But want to save money if there is separate ticket for either Beng Mealea or Koh Ker.
Hi all!
I’m visiting Angkor Wat next week and want to explore as much of Angkor Wat as possible. I will either get my own bike or hire a tuktuk to get around so transport is no issue. I’ll also be reading up lots on the history of each site before/while I’m there.
I’d like to ask if anyone has a suggested route for the most efficient way to explore Angkor Wat and get the most out of being there. I ask because I only have a few days there, sadly.
Many thanks!
Other tips including best photo spots, food recommendations and any other recommendations are very welcome!
Hi everyone! I’m going to Siem Reap soon for a short trip, and sadly dont have enough time to look for good local food places by trial and error. I looked online and I’m especially interested in trying the following dishes:
Please let me have your best recommendations for shops/stalls I can try any of these items at. Any other local cuisine recommendations are very welcome too!
P.s. if you have any recommendations for specialty Cambodian things I could try/get (doesnt need to be food), that’ll be great too.
Thanks!
