Hello folks, in wondering if there are rental space to rent for a small study group in Phnom Penh. Let's say for 8-10 people. Thank you
As title suggests, I’m planning to visit the US some time next year and going to apply the visa in the UK, given my current state is residing here in the UK. I don’t hold any British passports as I just graduated recently and am holding a limited time visa as of now.
Some contexts; I have a foster family keeping in touch for ages (they’ve been in Cambodia for several times) in the states and they wanted me to visit them this time over summer next year. My questions:
Any ideas would help. Thanks
How is it going right now? Can a European passport get visa on arrival for Cambodia there. I can exit Vietnam there I suppose, because I am on a 45 day waiver (free entry), no ED in my case.
Hello, I'm looking into getting Cambodian citizenship to buy land but I'm nervous if I meet the prerequisite.
I'm Cambodian on my father's side (We live in the US). I have my K-visa, but I do not speak Khmer (Trying to learn but really struggle with language). My father was born in Phnom Penh (stated on his passport and US birth certificate) but left the country in the late 60s as a child so we don't have a family book.
Me and my friend are traveling from Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam to Phnom Penh by bus. I'm fairly certain we are going through the Bavet border control.
We aren't sure how the process works if we can get a visa on arrival there, and also if the bus will wait for us.
We were meaning to do the E-Visa but have not left enough time and I booked the bus and can't get a refund.
Any advice would be really helpful, thanks!
Any one know where I can buy these kind of backpack?
The pattern on the bag is what I'm looking for. 0.o
Staying at Bavet for a couple of weeks, looking for a delivery app to have food and groceries delivered to my hotel.
I'm also very worried to go outside because my friend told me that there are frequent kidnapping cases in here.
Anyone can give me some advices?
Hello guys. I'm currently in phnom pen with a friend and I have an idea and would like to hear your opinions. We want to buy a tuktuk and travel with it across the country (pp - kampot - korong - Siem Reap and everything in between). We would like to know if it's possible, if tuktuks can drive on the highways and if not where they can, what are the prices and where can we find one. Any further advice and tip would be appreciated BTW we have car and motorcycle international driving license.
I'm trying to take the city bus for the first time. I want to go on the orange route (let's say) but on the route (in the city bus app) there are many purple bus stops and the closest one to me is also purple. The orange ones a further away. On Google maps, it told me to just go to the stop closest to me but I'm not sure. Also, in the app, the internet seems to not be working because the last time I opened it, it displayed small moving busses but now it's just blue bus icons staying still. Did something change or is the internet not working? Mine is working just fine but it could be a problem on their end. Please help.

Hi everyone, I have a 20-year-old photo of me and my grandma. It’s a bit stained, so I’d like to restore it and have it printed on canvas. Could you please recommend a place in Phnom Penh that offers good quality and reasonable prices?
Sorry for the newbie question. I hear everyone talking about about the 2X2 passport photo for the visa. However, in the application, the sample is a photo of a passport. So do they want the passport photo or a photo of a passport? The photo we upload at the beginning of the process is called a "portrait photo." Thanks in advance.
As the water level of the Mekong drops, families take over the fertile land that spends five months of the year underwater. I don’t know if there are any rules concerning this, or if anyone can do it, first come first served. ‘Guerilla Gardening’ is a thing in Germany, where people take over derelict public land, but this is another level entirely. This is Kratie town, there’s five or six more ambitious projects starting up right now.
I just want to clarify, is this required even for a short time travel? Thanks for who can help!
Ring pull from a redbull in Cambodia, I presumed the 2 was for 2 free cans...but trying to redeem, I could not get them. Am I missing something?
Hey everyone.
Hope your day is going as anticipated or even better.
I am 30M from Portugal currently living in Phnom Penh.
I've lived in PP in two previous occasions and have, recently, made it back a third time. This time to settle indefinitely.
I'm a regular joe. I like to have talks and discussions about whatever pops into our minds. Love to listen to music as much as I can. Watch basketball, anime, play video games. Laugh at myself, crack jokes, make observations and lead a slow paced life.
I've never been one to approach people out of the blue. Just not my style. I'm also not much into social events these days. For those reasons, I'm writing this post, in case someone is down to meet up and do something.
Thanks for reading and have a good one )
In December is the best time for Sunrise/Set at Angkor Wat temple Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Hello! My daughter in law's first language is Khmer and I am looking for kids songs in Khmer for my 1 year old granddaughter. I would love to find versions of American songs like Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Muffin Man etc. I have already found a few on YouTube, I have Baby Shark, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, If You're Happy And You Know It, and Old McDonald. Any suggestions where I can find those and even some Cambodian kids songs like the alphabet and counting? I am making her a Tonie Box Creative Tonie with all Khmer songs.
Hello, all! After visiting Siem Reap a few years back, I've made the decision to move to Cambodia. Siem Reap is my first option but if the job market is more preferable in Phnom Penh, I'll choose it instead. I'm currently working as a barback here at home and am soon moving into actual bartending.
How are the job opportunities for such a job for an expat in these 2 cities? Do they pay well? Is this a type of position that you'd have to own the bar yourself to have? I'd be looking for something part-time, given that I make a little over half-a-grand doing some online work and would just need that extra 600-800/month to fully cover my bases.
I would be open to landing a job as an English teacher if they're still accepting native English speakers with only a TEFL. I'm assuming that taking an in person course that involves actual, real classroom training is better than one of the online courses? If so, I'd definitely wait until I moved and find a class to start taking ASAP.
I'm not planning on moving for another year-and-a-half or so to give myself more time to save as much as I can here and definitely want to make sure that if I choose the route of teaching, I'm not taking one of these online courses that'll essentially end up being a waste of time/money.
Thanks!
