Assalamu alaikum brother and sister i have a question is grasshopper halal? (I followed the fatwa of syed ali khamenei)
FOR WOMEN ONLY!!!!
Hello! I had this question. As a Shia woman, during menstruation is it okay to use reusable pads? I've heard that it is healthier that using ones either plastic and also environmentally friendly. The plastic on cotton pads has been giving me rashes on the inside of my thighs so I started using them. But then my mom said that because I even if I wash the pad, since I'm using it for menstruation it is still najis. I can't find any ruling on such things so if someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.
Salam, I’m in my early 20’s and wish to start bulking this month inshaAllah, I know you make the most progress in your first year but I know shahr Ramadan isn’t too far out and wanted to ask how would I continue my bulk during shahr Ramadan so I don’t lose progress on my journey? Or would it not make much of a difference in my journey if I wasn’t bulking for a month?
Also one another question, do you guys recommend working out in the morning after fajir or night after ishaa? Those 2 times are the times I can work out consistently given my schedule.
If any brothers have any other advice for working out & bulking please share.
Thank you.

The holy lights of God and the fourteen shining suns of imamate and Wilayat, each of them is a bright light on the path of worship and reaching salvation. The Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, are the chosen ones of God Almighty, and God's command to obey them is a clear proof of the special position of those noble ones.
The Abbasid caliphate, which began with the fall of the Umayyads in the year 132 AH and continued until the year 656, covered a large part of the history of Islam and some Imams, peace be upon them, were contemporary. The blessed life of the sixth proof of God, Hazrat Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (as), was the first Imam to have a direct confrontation with the nascent Abbasid caliphate.
Abu al-Abbas Safah and Abu Jaafar Mansour were among the cruelest and most merciless caliphs of Bani Abbas who did not stop their oppression and crimes against the Ahl al-Bayt and the Shiites, and the name of Safah by this name also indicates his boundless cruelty. The ups and downs that were evident in different Abbasid periods have had a significant impact on its cultural, social and political situation.
The period of Imam Reza's imamate also took place during the reign of Ma'mun Abbasi, and this issue is also evident in the history of Islam and the goals of the Abbasid regime. Ibn al-Reza, peace be upon them, who are called Imam Jawad, Imam Hadi and Imam Askari, peace be upon them, each of them had a special role during their short lives. The Abbasid caliphs, as their goal was to destroy the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, narrowed the field to these three imams.
Imam Jawad, may God bless him and grant him peace, was martyred at the age of twenty-five by Umm al-Fazl and with the conspiracy of Mu'tasim Abbasi in Baghdad. Most of the years of Imam Hadi's Imamate (as) were also contemporaries with Mutawakkil Abbasi, one of the oppressive and ruthless Abbasid caliphs. Mu'tamid Abbasi also martyred the Imam Hadi in 254 AH, so two sons of Ibn al Reza (PBUH) were martyred. The last remnant was Imam Hassan Askari A.S. Many Abbasid caliphs, such as Mu'tamid and Muhtadi al-Abbasi, tried to martyr him, but they did not succeed, but he was martyred by Mu'tamid Abbasi.
In fact, the lifetime of the three imams after Imam Reza, peace be upon him, was very short, but the preparation of the society to accept important topics such as Mahdism and awaiting, was strengthened in these short years, and the ground was laid for the establishment of the occultation of God's guardian, the Imam of the time, peace be upon him, came.
The holy presence of Imam Hasan Askari, peace be upon him, is among the holy lights who were the last survivors of the Prophet's generation, who with their correct management, he laid the foundation for acceptance and communications with the Imam A.S being in occultation with the shia.
The majesty of Imam Askari, may God bless him and grant him peace, have been recognized by the Shia and Sunni classical scholars, and even the confidants of the Imam acknowledged it.
For example, Abu Hashim Jaffari, who was one of the confidants of the imam, was surprised by his majesty and greatness, as he expressed his surprise in a conversation with Imam Askari, peace be upon him, and the Imam said in response to Abu Hashim Jaffari:
Abu Hashim told me: I was with Abu Muhammad (Imam Askari), peace be upon him, and Muhammad bin Salih al-Armani asked him about the saying of God Almighty:
“And remember when your Lord took from the children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying], ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They said, ‘Yes, we testify.’”
Abu Muhammad said: Knowledge has been established and they have forgotten the situation, but they will remember it. If it were not for that, no one would have known who his Creator or his Provider was.
So I began to wonder to myself at the greatness of what God has given to His saints, peace be upon them.
Then Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, came and said: Is there not something more amazing that amazed you, O Abu Hashim? What do you think of a people whom whoever knows them knows God, and whoever denies them denies God, and there is no believer except that he believes in them and is certain of his knowledge of them.

In the following article, we are going to present some of the miracles of Imam Hasan Askari, may God bless him and grant him peace, so that we may receive more care from that oppressed Imam
The miracle of Hazrat during his childhood and being saved from the water well
The late Qutb Rawandi narrates the story of falling into the well and Imam Askari (peace be upon him) being miraculously saved as a child:
Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, fell into a water well while he was a child. Abu al-Hasan [Imam Hadi], peace be upon him, was praying when the women [inside the house] asked for help. After the Imam gave Salam [prayer], he said: There is no problem. They saw that the water rose until it reached the edge of the well and Abu Muhammad [Imam Hasan Askari, peace be upon him] was sitting on the water and playing.

Prayer To Have A Child
Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hamdani narrated that I wanted a son when I wrote a letter to Imam Hassan al-Askari (as) and Allah gave me four sons as a result of his prayer:
On the authority of Muhammad bin Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, who said: I wrote to Abu Muhammad asking him to bless me by praying that I be blessed with a male child from my cousin, so he said: May God bless you with a male child, and four children were born to me.

Imam Hasan Askari's miracle
Abu Jaafar, the son of Usman bin Saeed Amravi, narrates a story about the miracle of Imam Hasan Askari, may God bless him and grant him peace, as follows:
Abu Jaafar said: I said to Al-Hasan bin Ali, peace be upon him: Show me a special miracle that I can narrate about you. He said: O Ibn Jarir, perhaps you will apostatize. So I swore to him three times, and I saw him disappear into the ground under his prayer place, then he returned with a huge fish. He said: I brought it to you from the seven seas, so I took it with me to the city of peace, and I fed from it to a group of our companions.

Imam Hassan Askari's journey to Jurjan and the healing of the diseased eye
Jafar bin Sharif Jurjani narrates the process of his journey to Hajj and honoring the saying of Imam Hassan Askari, may God bless him and grant him peace, to Jurjan (Gorgan) as follows:

Ahmad bin Muhammad narrated on the authority of Ja’far bin al-Sharif al-Jurjani: I performed Hajj one year and entered upon Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, in Surman Ra’a. Our companions had brought some money with me, so I wanted to ask him to whom I should give it. But before I said that to him, he said: Give what you have with you to al-Mubarak, my servant. He said: So I did and went out and said: Your followers in Jurjan greet you. He said: Are you not going to leave after you finish the Hajj? I said: Yes. He said: You will go to Jurjan from this day until one hundred and seventy days, and you will enter it on Friday, three nights after the end of the month of Rabi` al-Akhir, at the beginning of the day. So inform them that I will meet them on that day at the end of the day, so go with the right guidance, for God will deliver you and what is with you.
Then you will go to your family and your children, and a son will be born to your noble son, so name him Al-Salt bin Al-Sharif bin Jaafar bin Al-Sharif, and God will make him reach adulthood and he will be one of our saints. So I said, O son of the Messenger of God, Ibrahim bin Ismail al-Jurjani, who is one of your followers, is very kind to your friends. He gives them more than one hundred thousand dirhams of his wealth each year, and he is one of those who enjoy God’s blessings in Jurjan. He said: May God thank Abu Ishaq Ibrahim bin Ismail for his good deed to our Shiites, forgive his sins, and grant him a healthy son.
Saying the truth, tell him that Al-Hasan bin Ali says to you: Name your son Ahmad.
So I left him and performed Hajj, and Allah saved me until I reached Jurjan on Friday, at the beginning of the day in the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir, as he, peace be upon him, had mentioned. Our companions came to congratulate me, so I informed them that the Imam had promised me that he would meet you at the end of this day, so prepare for whatever you need and prepare all your questions and needs. When they prayed the noon and afternoon prayers, they all gathered in my house. By God, we did not know until Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, came to us and entered while we were gathered. He greeted us first, so we welcomed him and kissed his hand. Then he said: I had promised Ja`far ibn al-Sharif that I would meet you at the end of this day, so I prayed the noon and afternoon prayers in Surman Ra`a and came to you to renew my covenant with you, and here I have come to you now, so gather all your questions and needs. The first person to volunteer to question him was Al-Nadr ibn Jabir. He said, “O son of the Messenger of God, my son Jabir’s eyesight has been damaged for months, so pray to God to restore his eyes to him.” He said, “Then bring it.” Then he wiped his eyes with his hand and regained his sight. Then one man after another came forward, asking him for their needs, and he answered all of their requests until he had fulfilled everyone’s needs. He prayed for their well-being and departed that day.

Returning property by Imam Hassan Askari, peace be upon him
The late Saduq, in his document in Kamal al-Din, narrates a story from the words of Abu Jafar Bazarji as follows:
I saw in Surman a young man in the mosque known as the Mosque of Zubaydah in the market street and he mentioned that he was a Hashemite from the descendants of Musa bin Isa. Abu Jaafar did not mention his name. I was praying and when I finished the prayer he said to me, “Are you from Qummi or Razi?” I said, “I am a Qummi living in Kufa in the Mosque of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.” He said to me, “Do you know?” The house of Musa bin Isa in Kufa, so I said yes, so he said I am from his descendants, he said I had a father and he had two brothers, and the eldest of the two brothers had money, but the younger one did not have money, so he went to his older brother and stole six hundred dinars from him, so the older brother said go to al-Hasan bin Ali bin Muhammad bin al-Rida, peace be upon them, and ask him to be kind to the younger one Perhaps he will return my money, for he is a sweet talker. So when it was the time of dawn, I thought of entering upon al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn al-Rida, peace be upon him. Instead, I said, I will enter upon Ashnas al-Turki, the ruler of the sultan, and complain to him. He said, So I entered upon Ashnas al-Turki, and in front of him were dice, which he was playing with. So I sat waiting for him to finish, and then the messenger of al-Hasan ibn Ali, peace be upon them both, came to me. Then he said to me, “Answer.” So I got up with him. When I entered upon al-Hasan ibn Ali, peace be upon them both, he said to me, “You had a need of ours at the beginning of the night, then you decided to abandon it at dawn. Go, for the purse that was taken from your money has been returned. Do not complain about your brother, be kind to him and give him something. If you do not do so, then send him to us so that we may give him something.” So when he went out, a young man met him and told him. With the presence of the bag. Abu Ja`far al-Buzurji said: The next day, the Hashimi carried me to his house and hosted me. Then he called out to a maid girl and said: “O gazelle or O Zulal!” And behold, I saw an old maid girl. He said to her: “O maid girl, tell your master the story of the birth and the newborn.” She said: “We had a child who was in pain, so my mistress said to me: Go to the house of the Al-Hasan ibn Ali, peace be upon them both, then tell Hakima to give us something to cure this newborn of ours. So when I went and said as my master had told me, Hakima said: Bring me the kohl that was applied to the newborn who was born yesterday, meaning the son of Al-Hasan ibn Ali, peace be upon them both. So a kohl was brought to her and she gave it to me and I carried it to my mistress and she applied kohl. The newborn was cured and remained with us. We used to seek healing through him, then we lost him. Abu Ja`far al-Buzurji said: I met Abu al-Hasan ibn Barhun al-Bursi in the mosque of Kufa and I told him this hadith from this Hashimi. He said: This Hashimi told me this story as you mentioned, step by step, exactly the same. No increase and no decrease.

The predators could not hurt Imam Askari, peace be upon him
One of the characteristics of Imam Askari, may God bless him and grant him peace, is not to be harmed by predators, as the late Kulayni writes:
Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, was handed over to Nahrir, who used to oppress him and harm him. His wife said to him, “Woe to you! Fear God! You do not know who is in your house.” She told him about his righteousness and said, “I fear for you from him.” Nahrir replied: I will throw him among the beasts and he did so. Then he saw that while he [Imam Askari (as]] was praying, there were wild animals around him [and they did not approach the Imam.]

Saving the life of Yunus from the devotees of Hazrat
The late Qutb Rawandi narrates a story from a person named Kafur from his teacher Yunus under the miracles of Imam Hasan Askari, peace be upon him:
Yunus the engraver used to visit our master the Imam and serve him. One day he came to him thundering and said, “O my master, I entrust my family to you for good.” He said, “What is the news?” He said, “I have decided to leave.” He said, “Why, Yunus?”Imam said with a smiled. He said, “Ibn Bugha sent me a ring that has no value. I began to engrave it and broke it into two pieces. His appointment is tomorrow. He is Ibn Bugha, either a thousand lashes or being killed. The Imam said, "Go to your home and rest in peace until morning that nothing but good things will happen". So when it was the next day, he met the Imam early in the morning, trembling, and he said, “The caliphs envoy has come seeking the ring.” He said, “Go to him, for you will see nothing but good.” He said, “And what shall I say to him, my master?” He said, “So he smiled and said, ‘Go to him and listen to what he tells you, for it will be nothing but good.’ He said, “So he went and came back.” He said: O my master, the maid girls have disputed, so you can make it two so that we may enrich you. So the Imam, peace be upon him, said: Imam (peace be upon him) offered: O Lord, thank you for making us among those who deserve your gratitude. Then he said to Yunus: Tell me, what did you say in his answer? Yunus said: I said give me a chance to think about his order, Hazrat said: You gave a good answer.

Abundant rain with the blessing written by Imam Hassan Askari, peace be upon him
The late Tabari Shi'i writes in his Sunad in Dalai al-Umamah:
A group of people from the plains of Iraq came to Al-Hasan bin Ali, peace be upon him, complaining about the lack of rain. So he wrote a letter for them and they were given rain. Then they came complaining about its abundance, so he sealed it in the ground and stopped the rain.

Passing through the closed doors of the prison
One of the miracles of Imam Askari, peace be upon him, was to pass through the closed door of the prison, as stated in this hadith:
Abu al-Tuhaf al-Misri told me... Abu Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to send to his companions and followers, “Go to such and such a place, and to the house of so-and-so, son of so-and-so, for the evening and night prayers at such-and-such a measure, for you will find me there.” Those entrusted with him did not leave the door of the place where he (peace be upon him) was imprisoned, day and night. Every five days, he would dismiss those entrusted with him and appoint others after renewing his will to them to protect him and to be constant at his door. So his companions and followers would go to the place, and he (peace be upon him) had preceded them to it. They would raise their needs to him, and he would fulfill them for them according to their ranks and classes, and they would return to their places with signs and miracles, while he (peace be upon him) was imprisoned by the opposites.

The removal of five hundred dinars from the earth
Abu Hashem Jafari, who was one of the Shiites of Imam Hassan Askari, peace be upon him, writes about the request for help from Imam Hassan Askari, peace be upon him:
On the authority of Abu Hashim al-Ja’fari, who said: I complained to Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, about my need, so he scratched the ground with his whip. I think he covered it with a handkerchief and took out five hundred dinars and said: O Abu Hashim, take this and forgive us.

Hey guys, does anyone know a good book about the life of the imams or the prophets? I need one that is online as a pdf version pls and thank you!
before anyone asks yes i did ask my marja, i havent gotten an answer yet so i asked here. If the answer is yes, then how can i remove petroleum jelly from my skin?
I saw some shia tik tok videos using this symbol for the prophet Muḥammad (ِصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْه وَآلِه), but for them they have آله (his family) but mine doesn't it's the sunni one instead. I am asking for a font or something on my phone that'd make it look like that, if possible.
Hi. Are there any shia mosques in the US or Canada that help those who want to get married? I see sunni mosques do that, either by sending information on whatsapp groups or other ways. Marriage in the west is becoming very difficult especially for shias & this could probably help those looking for marriage.
Salam, I want to learn These 2 subjects 1- Ilm al rijal and 2- Usool e hadith Do you know any source to learn ilm al rijal and usool e hadith of both shia and sunni school of thoughts. (I can't go to The hawza because its on a huge distance) If you know any please share with me.
Stories, ahadith, sayings of the ulema would help
Would insha'Allah be reading it for 40 days after each fard salah for my hajaat
Without my knowledge my father has married again. I found it out quite recently before that i was in doubts but right now its confirmed by him that indeed he has a second wife. My question is how do i view her as? and how my treatment should be towards her islamically.
Can we say "Alhamdullilah that God exists" or "Alhamdullilah for God"? Or is that contradictory?
Maybe it might be better to say "Alhamdullilah for this blessing from God" or "Alhamdullilah for God placing His belief in my heart"?

If I sprayed dry shampoo on my hair before wudhu, does that invalidate my wudhu when its time for prayer?
Salam Alykum,
I always see this claim made by Christian’s that “the Quran is copied by the bible” or “everything you have is stolen from the bible”
How do you debunk this?
Thanks
Salam brothers and sister I just wanted to make this post to ask you guys to make dua for my aunt who has been recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. Itimas e dua
Salam brothers and sisters I am making this post to let you guys know to please make dua for my aunt who has recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer please.
Is it permissable for a woman to wear add on sleeves or a jilbab with tight cuffing on the forearms in Salah as it shows the shape of the arms/wrists? My marja is Sistani, I couldn't find a fatwa regarding showing the shape of the wrists but I have seen many women praying like this. I'm wondering if this is ok or not.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh.
It's such a simple question but I can't find it on any shia forum 😭
I never thought about claw machines being haram. So may Allah forgive me if they are, but I don't know whether it's chance and luck or if it's skill, because I have won them in the first try many times. You just have to look from both sides of the glass and you'll be able to catch it.
So is it a chance game or skill game?
Barakallah!

My response to him:
There were conditions in the treaty, and those conditions were overlooked by Muawiya and he made his son his successor. That's a SIN and u said he isn't even a fasiq! Was he pure in his actions?! getting Hasan (AS) assassinated! not accepting Bayyah of Ali (AS) The gate of knowledge, the Lion of Allah! Hasan (AS) only made peace with Muawiya to end the dispute and also dont overlook that it was in the condition that he would be next to Muawiya, so what this was doing is that it was eliminating Muawiya's family FROM THE CALIPHATE! Because Muawiya was not RIGHTEOUS! Because of Muawiya, Tens of thousands of Muslims died! AND HE IS NOT FASIQ EVEN! Muawiya knew his son drank, yet he did nothing, and he is FASIQ? He didn't accept Bayyah of Ali (AS) and didn't leave his office, BECAUSE HE WAS GREEDY. Even our Holy Prophet PBUH recognized the right judgement and righteousness of Ali (AS)! and yet you shamefully put so much force into Bayah! What proves the sinful nature is NOTHING justifies not accepting Ali (AS)!

I’m a female medical student, who is required to be bare below the elbows for my hospital placements. Are there any scholars who consider this acceptable?
I am a hijabi, so I don’t expose my arms in daily life, as I observe modesty. I would like to follow this necessary policy in the hospital, but the people around me tell me this is haram. I would appreciate any sources or scholars who discuss this or consider it permissible.
I cannot wear disposable arm sleeves as has been suggested to others in other posts, because these aren’t permitted at my hospital trust.
Thank you
Salaam,
Is there a Shia version of ﷺ that include the ‘wa ale hi’. Does this exits?
Obviously I could not go to things like Jummah, or attend any religious event and I'd need to pray separate and so on but, I ask this because I was very involved with the local community. I knew almost everyone and they knew me. I was infact the default Muadhin of the local community centre.
Would it be permissible to remain friendly, return salaams and attend events centred on the community and so on? Would I be allowed to attend the fundraiser events for the centre? (AS it is currently being renovated which I previously helped with (side note: would I be able to continue that? I assume not.))
Thanks for any help.
