Official subreddit for The Rolling Girls anime!
Ten years after the Great Tokyo War, each prefecture in Japan has split up into independent nations. Each nation is ruled by a prophet called "Mosa" and an army called "Mob" as they start to compete to take over other countries. Four "Mob" girls from the Saitama clan, Nozomi, Yukina, Ai, and Chiaya, are ordered by their "Mosa" to travel around Japan riding their motorcycles to mediate multiple battles between nations and clans as they emerge.

I watched the show and loved it, but I'm a little confused by what the plot was really. The octopus alien subplot really confused me and the evil builders I just want some clarification I loved the sound track so much tho.
there was a Rolling Girls album recently released in Japan, and I'm confused as to what it is, exactly. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/PCCG-1583
since there's no second season, is it just a re-release of songs from the first album? I'm not hearing anything new listening to it. what's the point of releasing it now?
EDIT: apparently there's also an audio drama that follows the girls in their lives after the show ends...would love to know if anyone has translated it online
The good times...
So I began watching Rolling Girls without any information, and I found some very interesting things that I don't know how to describe, be it a name, a genre, style, here goes:
1 the resulting blows from powerful attacks are pretty things, like flowers, hearts, etc. I have only seen those very recently in ME! ME! ME! by Daoko
2 the anime begins with a feel like kill la kill, 2 overpowered lead females fighting, and it seems its going to be about that hack n slash stuff and be more and more absurdly overpowered but then the "mob" girls are presented to the audience as main characters, and it changes pace and style, also touching more earthly topics and feelings like family relations and coming of age stuff.
How do we call this?
Today August 18th is Ai Hibiki or HibikiAi's birthday.
Celebrate it by making your best effort at whatever you do, training or being lazy and eating everything. Or all at once!
I only wish it was a little longer. I loved the characters and feel that each episode was pretty well done, no filler episodes. The ending was pretty unexpected too for me but still fit very well. Any suggestions on what to watch next?
I'm going to be using this thread to share the subbed webms as they come out. Here are the episodes subbed so far:
Episode 6: Please Take This Seriously
Episode 7: If I Were to Become a Best
Episode 9: Letting Your Guard Down
EDIT: This should be all of the episodes.
Totally unneccesary information that won't provoke discussion or anything like that, this is just a post to celebrate Moritomo Nozomi's birthday.
As a gift to her, do something nice to somebody today, or let that friend have that last slice/bit of whatever you have!
They're a thing, there will be 12 of them. - There is no legal streaming site that has them.
These came with the Blu-rays/DVDs, our lovely /u/Jmaisonet posted the first one a month ago, without subs. Still moe.
In chronological order, the show goes through these arcs:
How do you rank them in terms of your personal favorites or critical appreciation?

I've added flairs for the last five Best and supporting characters from the previous episodes. You now have 33 to choose from. This is probably the last update for flairs unless something really cool happens in the last two episodes.
Is there a high quality picture of the Momiage Hammers poster lying around the internet? And if not, anyone up for making one?
NO NO NO

FUNimation's background image grabbed my attention and I decided to take a closer look at it, it'd make a pretty cool wallpaper.
Did we miss an arc? The ending credits clearly go through each of their encounters but the one with the girl in the Victorian dress and the boy with bokens was skipped and went straight to the pirate girl and the girl with the bamboo we saw in this episode. What happened?

I took over this discussion thread posting like Ai takes Chiaya's stones. Hopefully this doesn't end badly.
