He plays like 8-9 in the first quarter, comes in the second quarter for like 45 seconds. Jeff green comes in and plays 3 minutes. So in the entire first half Sengun has 8 minutes. He plays the entire 3rd quarter, where we our score the warriors by 12. Plays 0 minutes in the 4th and 0 in OT.

How the hell does it make sense? I don’t want this to turn into a FVV post. I’m just confused as to why he gets zero burn the rest of the way.

If conditioning is an issue which Ime seems to elude to in the presser how the fuck does he play the entire third and is running on the break getting put back dunks. Shit is so random.

I'm sorry but at this rate we not going anywhere and potential doesn't mean anything till we start winning. As much as Sengun has been a bright spot in the rebuild its not going nowhere, but if we can get a top 5 player in his prime will make us a bone-a-fide playoff team instantly. Young Players can get playoff experience early which none of them have any, the team continues to get better, and the culture for our team shifts to winning since the Rockets Harden days. Also on top of all this we can add pieces to make us good contenders in a west thats only getting better.

...but i am truly baffled by Ime's decision making. I really don't understand it.

This is coming from someone who loves Ime as a coach and I want him to be the coach for years to come, but I don't understand the Fred play. I coach teams myself and understand there is a guy who almost always needs to be on the floor for stability, but Fred just doesnt seem like that guy.

I can't for the life of me see what Ime sees in Fred, like rn hes a below average shooter, finisher and defender. He steadys the team I will admit, but thats his only redeeming quality. He is shooting us out of games at times, even after he hit his 1 three of the game out of a fantastic offense, he waltzes down the court and heaves a three 5 seconds in to the shot clock that barely hits the rim. Why??? 'Steady Freddy' my ass that is a low IQ play. No need for a heat check at that moment.

And the decision to keep Sengun out the game??? Over Fred??? Sure, Sengun was getting bullied on defense a little but his rebounding and offense was enough to make up for it. I thought he was our best starter in the first quarter (isnt saying much but still). I think he should have played over FVV and JG, who also had a horrific game but it happens.

Is there any hope a reporter can simply as Ime 'What is the reasoning behind playing Fred 40 mins when he is ass?'. I'm genuinely curious to see his justification on why he does what he does.

That's my rant over and by no means take this as a fire Ime and trade Fred post, but more of a question of whether Fred and Ime are in some romantic relationship that prohibits Ime from subbing out Fred.

He's too afraid to shoot right now, our supposed best shooter is too scared to shoot.

He'll get there, I believe in him but he needs to have some faith in himself and rise to the moment, dont be so scared of a miss.

That's all. I 100% believe this team right now, everyone is either playing well or will play well but this is what I've noticed of Reed and why he probably isn't getting minutes.

Obviously, the season is still young. However, I feel like the amount of minutes Sengun and Cam Whitmore getting compared to how they perform last year has been really low. I know some of the minutes are going to Atari (and deservingly so)

It’s really not helping me on prize picks. I’ve been keep betting the over and they keep going under, minus the very first game of season.

I don’t wanna bet the under on my guys, but when do you think their minutes will go up to last years numbers?

Okay it wasn’t as bad as I predicted it to be but pretty much the same story as every other game this season. Reed gets barely any minutes, when he does play he seems like he would do pretty well if he was to be kept on the court for a little longer. Meanwhile Fred looks like complete dog shit for 95% of the time he’s on the court but still gets his 40 minutes of playing time. I don’t have the energy to look up the statistics but FVV HAS to be the worst player itl who gets 35+ minutes a night. There MUST be happening something behind the scenes because some of these rotations just don’t make any sense right now.

I like when he benches the young guys that don’t have it going but why doesn’t he give the same treatment to Fred?

Also Sengun deserves a chance to redeem himself in OT like Jalen did. He wasn’t even that bad tonight

He should of definitely been playing in OT. We needed someone to slow it down.

Dude is crazy talented. Young. I thought he had a great season last year. Why is he not getting minutes? I thought his ceiling was extremely high and he needs some run.

You guys have a super exciting young team. Very high ceiling. You have way too many young guys, I get that. Good problem to have. But what’s the point of playing Dillon brooks that many minutes in particular? Cam needs those minutes.

Edit: wait wait wait. Sengun had 14 points on 20 shots, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and a block through 21 minutes…. And Ime benched him????

He’s just so good at bringing the energy and when he gets hot he gets HOT. As much as I hate the Warriors and think they cheated us at the end we really shouldn’t have won being down 31.
