I’m in a draft league with some friends. We’ve done snake draft for the last few years but I hate it. I don’t feel like it’s balanced. The person who wins the league gets last pick and first pick next round resulting in back to back picks. Seems like the last place person is being rewarded with a core while the middle ground guys have to wait. Any thoughts on drafting formats?
hey there ! i’m looking to get into vgc but i dont know how to start. any tips on how to get started and just tips in general ?
I thought of a new strat with prankster grimmsnarl holding power herb using trick on electro shot archaludon holding iron ball and grimmsnarl using trick on an opposing pokemon.
Is this strat good? And I am very scared of what comes of this
I'm looking to build a competitive sun team for reg G. I'm thinking of using torkoal and indeedee with flutter mane but I don't know if it would work well. If anyone can help that would be great.
Hello, I’d like suggestions/thoughts team for Reg G. I want to use tornadus and shiftry with the ability wind rider. I’m also thinking of trying to set up with tailwind and rain dance. Any other suggestions?
I want to create a pokemon team that’s atleast somewhat viable in scarlet for online play and I want to use greninja, I know he’s kinda mid now since the protean nerf. He doesn’t have to be a main player, just involved in the team some how. Thanks!
Hello I’m brand new wolfe got me and now I’m trying my hand at competitive pokemon after quitting mtg. I’m aware of all the resources out there for my own personal use but do anyone know of quality discord servers where I could meet and talk to people to learn more?
Is anyone having good sucess with tr? I know sunroom really isnt meta rn but its what my go to team is and im wondering if tr is doing any better so i could use that instead.
I want to start playing VGC with the goal of playing in tournaments and one day play Worlds, but I have never played before. I am aware about EVs, IVs, and Natures, but other than that I am pretty much a noob. How do I learn about team building, picking the best tera types, high level battles and what the best resources are? I'm also a college student so I don't have much free time so what's a good routine to play and study VGC matches?
I wanted to pick up a hobby that could take me travelling and chose PokemonVGC thanks to youtube feeds. After watching for 2 years my interest was piqued enough to take action to buy Brand new Switch and physical copy of Scarlet. I wanted to just participate in regionals then go tourist mode in that city, if I manage to get enough CP I could even soak in the hype of Worlds. I expected the switch and game to be the whole expense for game-wise but it was just the beginning, to have access to the full pokemon pool I needed to buy both Scarlet and Violet and their DLC, that's 2 x games and 2 x dlc, 4 items sold separately on top of the Switch. There's also a subscription cost for playing online, it was nothing too expensive compared to the base cost but I was just surprised by them, from when I last played Y casually on 3DS. I searched and stumbled on reddit and learned if I wanted the entire Pokemon pool practically and able react to changes in format with any time left in real life, I needed 2 switches. I could choose to throw more money in, or I could sell the OLED to get a clean brand new lite, a second hand gen 1 for cheap and Amazon for soldering kit with some money to spare. The handiwork I had to do afterwards is a stark buzzkill from the excitement of first unboxing the Brand new Oled and Scarlet. I might not have taken action on the interest in VGC and might've let it stayed what it was if I had the full picture of the legitimate costs that we are expected to put in, money and time-wise, legitimately.
Does anyone have anyone have any movesets for indeedee that work well with sneas?

Hey so i want to get into competitive Pokémon and i really don’t know much about competitive movesets and items as much as type advantages and i guess EVs and IVs. what should be my first step for my Pokémon journey?
I can't beat anything that's over a 4 star raid, and I need FIFTY tera shards to advance, I'm in post game, this is so freaking hard, if I get the DLC can i get an easier way to change tera type?
Before I download and replay through Sword or Shield, I thought I’d see if anyone had one they’d be willing to trade. I have Violet, if there’s any game exclusives you’re looking for I could trade one of them, or a bottle cap or something. Thanks for your time!

For reg G coming up, wanting to try a team centered around Specs Miraidon and rapid strikes urshifu. My question is what other mons could I add? Looking for fake out pressure and pivots. EV spreads and moves recommendations on everything is also welcomed.
I started to get interested in VGC and I would like to team up with Electvire(my favorite PKM)
I was thinking about playing him on a more offensive side than a support side.
Lately Bellibolt has been my favourite competitive pokemon!
It has some really great competitive qualities that I think are slept on and never spoken about. It’s got super high HP, really good special attack, and fairly solid defence stats. The only thing lacking a bit is its speed, but that hasn’t been an issue for me personally.
Its attack stat is low but that’s not a big deal, considering Bellibolt relies more on special moves. Something Bellibolt really excels in is being hit by attacks, which sounds weird, but when you take into account its ability ‘Electromorphosis’, it’s one of the few pokemon that you actually WANT to get hit. Electromorphosis increases Bellibolt’s power each time it gets hit by an attack.
Plus, Bellibolt is one of the few pokemon that can learn the move Parabolic Charge. Combining this move with Electromorphosis is near criminal. I’m telling you, this dude is so slept on!
