Keep the Current Pokemon on the Final team.
Any IV and EV spread changes are allowed.
This team is for Pokémon Showdown
Doubles OU tier, choose a Pokemon that is in that tier (or lower).
Any Moves changes are allowed as long as the moves aren’t illegal, not very useful for the Pokemon on my Pokemon on my team, or just used for trolling. (Also NO baton passing on this team, I have a lot of trauma for Baton Passers).
For my last Pokemon, please only pick a Pokemon to best Compliment the rest of my team.
I already posted a team and wanna know if this one is better. Hopefully it is, but I'm not touching Overqwil or Scovilian. You're lucky I didn't put Sewaddle or Leavanny on the team
I know smogon showdown has a damage calculator, but I need to know a lot more than damage calculations to know which is more likely.
Situation: my Tauros is running thunder, and is facing off against a paralyzed starmie which is at 73 - 81% health in Gen 1, which combo is more likely to ko starmie without Tauros getting hit by anything?
Combo A: body slam and then hyperbeam.
Pros: body slam has 100% accuracy.
Cons: body slam can’t ko with a crit, leaving Tauros open to a 75% chance of getting hit, and requires hyperbeam which has a 10% chance of missing.
Combo B: thunder then hyperbeam/body slam.
Pros: thunder is guaranteed to instantly ko starmie with a crit(Tauros crits 21.48% of the time), and there a 50% chance Tauros ko starmie with a follow up body slam instead of a hyperbeam.
Cons: thunder has a 30% chance of missing.
I'm relatively new to competitive teambuilding, and an idea for a possible (and probably unorthodox!) Magnezone setup came to me. Can someone evaluate it?
Timid Magnezone Ability: Analytic Tera Type: Ghost Item: Lagging Tail 252 Spd/252 Def/4 SpA Electro Ball Thunder Flash Cannon Protect
The Lagging Tail is to synchronize with Analytic, powering up STAB Thunder and Flash Cannon. However, the real purpose is to bait out a Knock Off, better handled with a 252 Def EVs, freeing Magnezone from the Lagging Tail's handicap. Tera Ghost gives it a much appreciated Fighting immunity, while Protect is for survival until Terastalization. Rain Dance and Tailwind are perfect for increased DPS, allowing for 100% accurate Thunders and faster Flash Cannons, so Killowattrel and Pelipper help to set up this otherworldly Special sweeper.
I tried looking up on google but I was getting a lot of mixed results so I’m unsure
I'm not the best when it comes to competitive Pokemon so I just want confirmation how to make this team better, I currently havent had that many loses with it
Hi, I am a recent Showdown user. I am an old, traditionalist Pokémon gamer who stopped to play new games after gen 7. I started in 2003 and gen 1 Pokémon, mostly thanks to Red Fire and even Heart Gold, are my favorite. I did not have the chance to play gen 1 and 2 and I would have loved to play them so much more than gen 8 and 9, however with Pokémon Showdown I can now play the most important aspect of Pokémon and go back into gen 1 and 2. My favorite is gen 1 OU singles and I would like to try Ubers but I can not find a way to do so.
I found out fake Pokémon have been created on Pokémon Showdown and added to the metagame in some specific tiers, starting in gen 4. They are known as CAP project. Now I want to make 4 CAP species and I hope someone can create them and put them into a newly created gen 1 CAP metagame.
The design of theese CAP species does not exist. I am not good at creating Pokémon designs, but the CAP concepts I made are based on some OC humanoid simianlike aliens from the work of a novelist. Here are the data about the Beta version all of them. A lot could be changed but first a design and a sprite would have to be made. There is 1 for each of the 4 gen 1 games !
Beta name : Yulaan
Type : Fighting/Electric
Code color : Yellow
Stats : 110/130/70/150/130/TOT : 590
Notable Moves : Thunderbolt, Thunder, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Double-Edge, Submission, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Sludge, Night Shade, Seismic Toss, Recover, Sword Dance, Barrier, Amnesia, Agility, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Confuse Ray, Sing.
Tier : Uber
Beta name : Kevelnege
Type : Fighting/Water
Code color : Blue
Stats : 100/85/85/125/105/ TOT : 500
Notable moves : Surf, Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Double-Edge, Submission, Sludge, Seismic Toss, Recover, Barrier, Amnesia, Agility, Thunder Wave, Toxic.
Tier : OU/Uber
Beta name : Djuggesh
Type : Fighting/Fire
Code color : Red
Stats : 100/105/85/125/85/ TOT : 500
Notable Moves : Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Double Edge, Self Destruct, Submission, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Sludge, Seismic Toss, Sword Dance, Amnesia, Agility, Thunder Wave, Toxic.
Tier : OU
Beta name : Ghojin
Type : Fighting/Grass
Code color : Green
Stats : 100/85/105/125/85/ TOT : 500
Notable Moves : Mega Drain, Razor Leaf, Psychic, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Double Edge, Submission, Sludge, Seismic Toss, Leech Seed, Recover, Barrier, Amnesia, Agility, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Hypnosis.
Tier : OU
Note : I could switch Fighting type with Normal type since there are no good Fighting moves in gen 1, but I feel Yulaan would get overpowered by losing most weaknesses and gaining Normal stab. After playing for some time I think I learned what a strong but not overpowered Pokémon is like. Indeed Yulaan is Uber level but not overpowered the way Mewtwo in gen 1 or Snorlax in gen 2 are, and the other 3 are quite usable but none of them is able to centralize the metagame. Rather than changing type I may rather create a CAP Fighting type move, something with like 90 power, 100 accuracy and 10/16 PP and no additional effects, or maybe with 80 power and a 30% chance of raising the user's attack by one stage. Submission really sucks.
What do you think ? Who can make a RBY CAP tier ?
Participating in a draft league for the first time. It’s an Ubers league. I wanted to try and draft around swampert being on the team. Any suggestions on how to draft my team?

My friend group is hosting a pokemon tourney; but I'm pretty bad at Pokémon so could use some help making a team 😭.
The team need to consist of 6 of my top 30 pokemon. I'm allowed one Pokémon from the restricted list (and I can use spore), I'm also allowed 1 of each gimic except dynamaxing (so mega evolution, z move and terrastillize)
also it's doubles
can someone please help me make a team 😭
below is my top 30 pokemans
p.s. if you add mega Charizard I would like it to be Charizard Y as he is Goated with the sauce
Can someone recommend me a good Gen 7 Team?
Any changes or advice please 🙏
i don't know much about pokemon building but i wanted to build my shiny salamence for fun. he has an adamant nature btw
Ou stall team. Thoughts.
Hey so my friends and I will be having a Cobblemon server soon and I was wondering if this team was good?
Yes I'm aware I'm sweaty for building a Cobblemon team this much, my counterpoint: My friends need to get good.
So any advice?
I've recently been researching Wolfe's analysis videos and have been wanting to get back into VGC. The issue is that I haven't played for like a year- during SV but before the DLCs- and haven't played "well" since Sword and Shield. Can you explain the changes to the format that have occured since the DLC was added?
First time building/battling, not looking to really to truly compete but just playing with a friend who has done the ladder in the past and asked me to make a singles team to battle. Any glaring issues? We are just doing no legendaries so was going for a speed reduce with Galvantula leading and then a team of sweepers ending with a Tyran / Houndstone finisher. Thoughts?
