Frifthor Van Duein squinted his eyes as he approached the boarder of Novum Persarum. Just recently out of the caves of Areus Antris, he was still unused to the constant exposure that the surface brought with it. A peeling nose and ears only further reinforced the image of a cave dweller getting his first taste of the sun in many months. It seemed so distant from the glowing caverns and mushrooms he had known since coming to this land.

A grief tap on his shoulder jerked Frifthor from any memories he may have entertaining, and he whirled around on his horse to find John, his valet and sergeant, waiting patiently for his commander. Noticing the sudden shift in his officer's gaze, John shifted his reins and raised a free hand to point towards the small party coming up behind the two. Five men mounted on black mares led a couple of pack mules along the rocky trail.

"Seems the staff is taking their time sir." John remarked with a palpable sense of disapproval. The man came from Frifthor's own artillery regiment, and Frifthor had never known the man to move slowly. No matter how steep the terrain, John Alway could lug a howitzer and an ammunition cart over it. Compared to the work of John’s gallopers, Frifthor's secretaries moved at a near glacial pace.

"We're in no hurry John. And they're unused to the saddle. Within a day or two they'll get the hang of it." Despite his assurances, the fact that one of the secretaries chose this moment to lose control of a pack mule didn’t fill Frifthor with much confidence. Regardless, he thought, there was only forward to go him now. On to Novum Persarum and a new life.

To the Governor of Novum Persarum I, Samuel Fawkes as Admiral of the Navy request the establishment of a Naval fort outside of Tehran, Novum Persarum. This will serve as a defensive launching point for a blockade to defend the outer bay of the Orangered Nation.

Governor, Satrap, and Taoiseach- ITKING86 Vice Satrap - TBD The Territory of New Persia (Latin: Territorium Novum Persarum, Persian: سرزمین ایران نو) is a territory situated on the east coast of Chroma, currently a part of the Orangered Kingdom. New Persia is known as the centre of freedom in Chroma. The territory is known as a place for art. Residents of the territory share their favourite visual art pieces or music. New Persia also holds a chroma-wide festival called Festum Persæ, which takes place in /r/NovumPersarum the first day of every two months. The festival includes a contest that goes on for 24 hours, which gives the winner the ability to wear the Pahlavi Crown as their flair on /r/Orangered and /r/Periwinkle. Occasionally, in addition to the prize of a unique flair, there will be extra prizes to be won. For example, in Festum Persæ II, held on October 1, 2013, the winner - /u/greyavenger - had won a game to be played through Steam. New Persia is an iconic place in Chroma for freedom. The Egalitarianist Party of New Persia allows the bonding of all Chromans in a way that no other territory does. To mix it up for season 2, the Northern Half of the territory is now Nua Eire (with respective territories). This may or may not be permanent. I will write lore explaining this.
