Obviously we may never know what happens since a second season is probably not happening (I'm still foolishly clinging to hope), but as we recall, Harry and Lexi became the new leaders puppetted by Campbell and then Allie and Will were betrayed and imprisoned. The ending was not a hopeful note, and then Lexi seemed to realize what kind of shit she got herself in, while Harry looked like he almost felt bad for what he did. It's funny how those two dummies are the ones in charge when they're easily the worst choices to be leaders, and with Campbell pulling the strings it's even worse.
Me personally I see the town going under within a couple of days since Lexi doesn't know what she's doing and Harry is too immature to actually take charge and only wanted to get his things back. Although Campbell is the one controlling them, so he's probably making all the real decisions for them and they're obviously too scared of him to fight back. It's not a good look, and we can't count on the Guard since they're all corrupted now, with the exceptions of Grizz and Luke (who is only trying to protect Helena).
But what do you guys think?
Has anybody seen this show called Flowers? It's a dark British comedy. I am looking for more such shows. Please drop in your suggestions. I also wanted to know how did this show make you feel, I was completely blown away when I watched it.
I watched this series when it first came out in 2019, I rewatched it earlier this year in honor of its 5th year anniversary, and I forgot how painful it is to have so many unanswered questions. Other than that, they should’ve focused more on how to get out. If there’s a way in, then there’s definitely a way out, maybe they should’ve find where the bus drivers had went, maybe find something like tire marks on the concrete or dirt (that indicates where the bus had went). And maybe searching for a false bush or other plant that’s covering the “portal” (or tunnel). Maybe nearby shops or homes with CCTV show where they the busses went…but one thing I don’t understand is that there were five busses full of kids, and every single one of them was asleep? At least one of them awake to see where they were going. In real life, for most people (including me) are always awake because it’s uncomfortable to sleep in a moving vehicle. But anyways, it seems they wasn’t putting enough effort and time to find a way to get out, there were only 2 people…it’s mostly about politics and unnecessary teen drama.
Another thing: I find it odd that the parents didn’t seem worry about their kids going away on a field trip with no adult supervision, nor the kids thought the same, because they’re still minors, unless the adults had their own ride.
The enemies to lovers trope is super common especially when it's a boy and girl that are enemies. But i like that Cassandra and Harry dont seem to go down the romance route with each other. Not sure what would have happened if Cassandra survived but i don't think they d have gotten together.
People often comment that why can't a boy and girl just be friends on a show without it being romantic but the same is true for rivals - why can't a boy and a girl be just rivals and not rivals to lovers.
Like Clarck and the other guy both have girlfriends, surely they d know that periods are a difficult and women need their privacy to change? And even if they didn't have girlfriends, you d still know that it's a major invasion of privacy. They didn't even agree to turn around. At this point they didn't know if Lexi was guilty or not but they were treating her as if she was.
Allie is a woman so i expected her to for sure understand what Lexi went through but she was dismissive. But she was understanding to what Campbell's girlfriend ( forgot her name) was going through so I thought she d understand women's issues. Perhaps she was angry at Lexi's improv (understandably so) but still i thought she d just ask her about it then do this whole change in front of the guards thing.
If Allie had told the guards to apologise to Lexi, Lexi wouldn't have tried to over throw Allie.
Like they enter a kind of black hole. The end of the series shows that all the students died on the fild trip but then its a bit odd the characters that died in new ham ( cassandra and dewy ) because then its like they die twice.
They have to do something with this netflix series.it just feels uncomfortable like not knowing just wondering what would happen to them .its really heart breaking decision made by Netflix.sad.
I watched the Society in 2019 and was heartbroken like you all when they canceled season 2. I think about it all the time and actually rewatched it earlier this year. Still holding out some hope!! lol. Anyway, my boyfriend have I started watching this show called “From” on Amazon Prime. It’s about these people that end up in this town from all different parts of the US and have no clue how they got there and no clue how to get home. Only twist is that you have to go be indoors at night because there’s “things” that come out at night. I don’t wanna give too much away. It’s definitely more on the horror end, but we are about halfway through season one and we love it! I definitely recommend. Has anyone seen it?
God, I need this show to come back in some form. I watched the show when it aired in 2019 and I’ve been obsessed ever since! This is my second time rewatching since then and I still can’t believe we don’t know what happens yet. Hopefully one day the creators are able to continue the story in some matter.
Definitely one of the best shows to air in the last 5 years. Incredible acting and storylines, this was born to be a hit! I also realised recently how it was directed by Marc Webb, who has contributed to many of my favourite music videos.
Kind of insane how it still goes viral on social media fairly regularly. Too good of a show to lose. This show keeps me intrigued every time and up at night.
So I just finished the pilot or whatever. And what an interesting and unique premise. One small problem, every character I hate. Like everyone. The main girl and her intolerable speech about how shes not the heroine. The douchey 1d villains. The annoying "nice guys finish last" poor homeless dude. And the nerdy boy and deeply religious girl. Like am I gonna have to put up with these people? Do they all have a quick death? Is the show worth sticking through the end?
I did a rewatch last week because the cancellation of the show and lack of answers has been annoying me yet again, so I thought maybe if I did my millionth rewatch I might figure something out. I noticed that the first night the teens are all alone and throw the church party, Harry and Kelly breakup, and Sam tells Becca to be more involved in the party. When Sam asks who the dad is months later, Becca says she hooked up with someone when she was drunk at a party. And then I noticed how guilt-ridden Becca seems all of the times Kelly keeps offering her help. Something is telling me none of this is a coincidence?
This really sent me 😂 episode three really had us all like this. (Gus is her cat)
at this point i don’t even care about a season 2, or a script leak, i’ve been a die hard fan of this show since it was released, i may have watched it around 7 times now.
but ion even care anymore about new episodes, a fucking book will do it for me, i think most of you will agree when i say we mostly care about the trama, not the actor or the visual part of the show.
there’s so many questions with no answer
Allie is a pick me wannabee who's trying to be the bigger person but only does it for her self esteem.
Lexie is a stupid girl who doesn't have a clue about anything and just want her selfish vengeance, even if it hurts everyone
The guard are stupid brainrots, except obviously Grizz who's perfect, just very sensitive about his situation and say harsh things because he's hurt, and Luke who's smart but a big coward
Kelly and Helena are very mature and deserve the best
Will is nice but don't know why he loves Allie more then Kelly. He needs to take more place than Allie in the government
Becca'sa nice empathetic girl but is totally blind on how she's hurting his best friend. Self absorbed but mean in her situation who would not ?
Campbell's fucking smart in the wrongest kind of way. Definitely a sociopath.
Sam is the cutest person and deserves the best. He deserves so much better. Love him
Elle is smart and gentle, I don't understand why she doesn't have lots of friends
Harry is a stupid Muppet and don't know why Kelly was with him, but he's in so much pain
Gordie is one of the best characters and would love to have him as a friend. He's the one who will save everyone (with Grizz's and Bean's help)
Bean is smart and empathetic, would have loved to see more screen time but unfortunately we don't see her as much
Cassandra died because she was keeping the chaos away and "it" wasn't happy about it. Didn't deserve to die. Still, she was very naive.
Just got done watching the scene where he tells Elle they’re just alike because of the whole pie stuff. It’s HORRIFYING. Thinking back to when we first learn how crazy he is from the whole bird story, and then seeing him say him and Elle are the same? Helllllllllllllllllllllll no. No. I hate him. I feel bad for Elle. Especially whenever she asked Helena if she is praying for her and to tell God she’s sorry. It’s heartbreaking. It’s my first time watching since 2019. I forgot how Campbell was, and I hate him. What are yalls thoughts on Campbell?
can anyone explain the ending of season 1? I know when Harry and that other girl had power things were going to be out of control. But who was that old lady the last 5 min of the episode? My interpretation was that the kids all died and the old lady was saying all of their names. Although I could be wrong because I watched this along time ago. but someone help me out
I have been a fan of this show since it was released on Netflix’s back in 2019 today I just watched it for the 5th time it’s such a great concept and I’ve always thought it would eventually be back once Covid was over
When Allie made Helena defend Dewey bc he needed a “fair trial” but then acted as the judge?? And then they killed him. Like that was the most biased trial ever. 😭
They really forced that responsibility onto Helena, knowing he would be found guilty whether he actually did it or not and THEN made her deal with the fact that she couldn’t get him off so they KILLED HIM?
Allie is my least favorite character in the entire series (yes, I dislike her even more than I dislike Campbell), but this is the part that did it for me like holy shit I can remember being 16 and watching this when it aired and being SOO aggravated. It’s the only reason the show isn’t one of my all time favorites, like I think if Allie would have died instead of Cassandra I would be rewatching this show every year 😂
Okay, rant over. First time i’m rewatching since it first aired and im heated lmao. Allie makes the show near impossible to watch by the midway point, but i’m holding on for Grizz 😂
Edit: I forgot Allie wasn’t even one of the shooters at first!! God I hate her. I remember being actually really fucked up when I first watched the execution scene, and it was just as hard of a watch this time! How anyone still supported Allie after the fact?? No clue. I would have RUN far away from her. Like she’s just gonna shoot everyone she doesn’t like?? Everyone that SHE thinks did something wrong? (not saying he wasn’t guilty, but even IF he was innocent, he would have died anyway bc Allie is PSYCHO). She probably killed her own sister, too. Smh.
So I just finished watching tonight - actually scratch watching, I have been nothing but living and breathing for this show for the past few days. I knew I was gonna end up pissed, had no idea JUST HOW MUCH. At least when they cancelled the Midnight club, they had the decency to apologise and reveal the ends to major plot lines and answered all questions.
Since I'm new to this - do you think there is any chance? I mean there has to be, since the fans dont want to let it die?
One last thing I cant get over - AND EMILY IN PARIS GETS 4 SEASONS? HOW?
Hi guys, if it’s not too bother, can you help me find recommended fanfictions about this series? Any platform would be fine.
Thank you so much ❤️
Ok I have no idea if this has been talked about a thousand times, but in episode 1, anyone find it weird that Campbell goes out of his way to sit with Elle.
Elle prior to New Ham was anti social, so for Campbell to make an effort to establish communication with her is weird, but the timing is even weirder. End of senior year and now is when Campbell is trying to talk to the girl with no friends. Could it be that he just thought he would get lucky during that one week in the smoky mountains?
If we follow other theories that believe Campbell is involved, then a strategic partnership with Elle follows the same logic. And he knew to do this before getting to New Ham, and with Pfieffer as his bus’s driver I think they had contact between each other before New Ham.
Am I reading too much into this one detail of Campbell sitting next to Elle?
Here’s a petition that I would greatly appreciate if anybody and everybody signed it. It’s a possibility to revive season two. The first season left me on edge so much and I really, like lots of others, would love Netflix to spend a bit of their huge amount of money and revive it.
I heard it got canceled and im not a big fan of watching shows that I know were already cancelled. But ive heard good things about the show and I watched the first episode when it came out. So is the ending a bad cliffhanger? Or is resolved in some way at the end?
Edit: Decided to start watching it
Edit 2: Just binged watched the whole show in a day and just whyhyy. Im so upset now it was so good and the ending was somethifn entirely. Dont regret tho im probably just binge watch edits now.
I started this a few days ago and wasn't overly obsessed and didn't really care for it that much. But, things really started to take off for me! Everyone developed so well. Allie? Not the biggest fan of her, Campbell is PSYCHO, Sam and Grizz? Love them!! How, why could we be left without a second season??!! I am so disappointed. It has so much potential and that is what upsets me most lol
After a rewatch I was wondering why they shared houses like they did. When allie suggests it it sounds like it makes sense but given how we understand new ham it doesn't really. They say they need to conserve electricity and water but for whatever reason it seems like Phifer created the town with an abundance of those things. The impossibility of this abundance doesn't bother me it's a mystery show. But when they learn they have an abundance why do they still need to share? Especially as densely as they did I could see one to a room but 3?
I thought it might be a political move to increase safety and have more control over the residents and hit home the fact nobody owns anything anymore but this doesn't seem to be their intent.
Love this show but what gives?
Why suck me in popping up in my damn Netflix highlight’s?!?!? I’m annoyed there is no Season 2! 😭😭😭
I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I just started a re-watch. (Seriously this show was 10/10.) At the end of episode 1 when they bring the dead girl back to the church, Grizz says they need to bury her tomorrow before it starts to smell.
Isn't that the ultimate giveaway from the scriptwriters that the smell in the town was the smell of dead bodies?
