    Professor blackmailing Tamayo

I so love the part where the gang was fending off the military when Tamayo was about to send in the second detachment.

At that moment, Professor calls him and reveals the recording of Tamayo's unethical agenda. Tamayo, on the other hand, tries to pride himself up with the question, "You think that recording will stop me?"

Professor responds, "Tamayo, you started a war without the possibility of considering qualms or ethics. I'm only asking that you continue."

"Either you stop the second attack or I will prove that it was you who fabricated evidence against Alicia Sierra, that it was you who ordered payments from the reserve funds and on top of that, I will transfer 10 million to the Dutch Antilles in your name. And, believe me, that transaction will link you directly to me."

Unpopular opinion: La Casa de Papel is kinda dumb

I just finished season 2 and I feel like the show was harshly overhyped. Mostly because a lot of things work only through VERY THICK plot armor and also random visions some characters seem to have to expect someones move.

It was still fun to watch but for the wrong reasons. Every single character was dumb as fuck. Pretty much everyone immediately dropped everything discussed for the plan and did soo many pointless things.

The amount of mexican standoffs was also ridiculous. It would've been funny as a parody but since they were serious about it it just came off as them being dumb.

Also absolutely hate Tokyo. Every single thing she does is bad for the group. Not only that but she is annoying.

Another thing, why is everyone so horny? There were multiple scenes where the plan almost failed because characters needed to have sex right there and then.

The only characters I liked and enjoyed watching was Denver and his father. And of course the father got killed bc of Tokyo. Every other character is unlikable. Just to name a few reasons for each: Berlin literally raped someone and just has this rapey aura around him, Rio almost dropped the entire plan and let the hostages escape because he was horny/angry, Nairobi wanted to fuck over the operation multiple times because of her emotions, the professor almost dropped the operation because of horniness multiple times, Oslo and Helsinki are just NPCs and again, fuck Tokyo.

I genuinely don't understand how this show was so overhyped with all these obvious flaws and what I said wasn't even the gist of it. Every 5 minutes another character does something stupid. And that's just the "main" characters of the heist. Not to talk about the stupidity of police and hostages.

Curious to know why you guys liked the show. I watched it with some friends but pretty much only because we view it as a parody and laugh about the bad bits.

    Most underrated character

Who would you say is the most underrated character?

My vote goes to Suarez; I know some people don't like him but I think he's class. He's clearly passionate about his job and cares deeply about his work. He is in a high risk environment and wants to make his country a safer place. He also takes responsibility for his actions, holds himself accountable for his mistakes. He is held in high regard among his peers and always has the countries best interests in mind

    Terrible season 4 & 5

Ok I'm a bit outraged right now. Last seasons have more plot holes than a fucking swiss cheese. If it wasn't for plot armour gandia should've died at least 5 times, he was full of fucking glasses and went back in AGAIN. That annoying Arturo should've been separated from the rest of the group at least 10 times. They had the opportunity to leave the heist full handed like 10 times but didn't. I really enjoyed first season and first heist in general. But theast ones, it seemed like they just wanted to make some money by unnecessary extra scenarios. I can go on for days how bad last seasons were compared to the first one but fuck it, at least I'm almost finished with the show

    Tokyo - Úrsula Corberó

Tokyo - Money Heist - Úrsula Corberó For my fellow artists, keep practising, as frequently as you can, and you will definitely see improvements. Tips -use grids - helps proportions -dont focus too much on the small detail...build up basic structures and learn basic proportions. -practice lighting and shading (makes ur drawings pop from 2D to 3D) to make it look very nice and detailed. Added effect using Davinci Resolve Hope yall enjoy

I know what's on the note to Berlin's son.

Folks, I am so sure I figured it out. Because this doesn't only answer the popular question "What's on the note?" but also the almost equally popular question "Why was the Professor sostressed about getting the stolen trucks of gold back, when he only needed the fake gold to complete the plan?"

Rafael and Tatiana stole the fake gold. There would have been identical trucks with the real and the fake gold, the fake gold to send to the bank and complete the plan, the real gold to go to a secure location. At that point the fake gold was more important than the real gold, because without the fake gold they couldn't complete the plan. If Rafael had taken the real gold the professor could have completed the plan as intended and just gotten the real gold back at a later time.

So the note probably referenced the viking gold heist as many people said, and it also explained that he had stolen the fake, and maybe promised him a cut. So Rafael and Tatiana returned the fake so it could be brought to the bank in time and took on the task to bring the real gold to safety.

Please guys, tell me I'm not missing something, because this explains everything.

Is this like a thing in Spain? Or does the creator of the show just have a liking for that 😅😅

    Theory: The Gold are Fake

    Long post, sorry.

Kind of a late post, almost 3 years after S5V2 came out. But I just recently rewatched S5, and this struck me.

I think the "gold" grains that made it to the stormwater tank are fake.

I think the Professor has the real gold grains drop off at a location in between the Bank of Spain and the stormwater tank along the pipe. And have the fake gold grains pump from that location to the stormwater tank. This can be achieved with the pump in Saudi Arabia that Berlin mentioned, the Professor could have stole the pump, or perhaps bought it from the Saudis, in that he has enough time and money. He could even have the Saudis helping him off scene, as we know there are people helping him behind the camera that never made any apperances. This can also explain the delay in Palermo's calculation. But that scene could just be there for emotional purposes, as it is one of the most touching scene in the entire show.

    Here're my reasonings for this.

    1. The Professor surrendered to the fake police too easily.

The only valid reasoning that I can come up with would be that the Professor assumes the police has got their hands on the real gold already. Which is quite reasonable as my theory has the real gold in a place that's in between the stormwater tank and the bank. Which could also be why the Professor tells Marseille that it's already lost.

The Professor gave up as if he had no leverage. If the gold they had was real, that could be their leverage, throw all of their explosives onto the gold, and threaten the police with that, it might not destroy of all 90 tons of the gold, but it should definitely destroy some, which I don't think Tamayo would like to see. The Professor could at least use that to try to negotiate with Tamayo to get the members inside the bank out, but he didn't. Unless he actually, or thinks that he doesn't have leverage. Because the fake gold is only valuable when Tamayo doesn't have the real gold.

    1. The Professor puts chasing after the robbed gold as the utmost priority, even after finding out that it is Raphael and Tatiana who robbed him.

I get it that the Professor is frustrated after being robbed, even more so after finding out that it was his nephew behind it. But after the initial frustration, he should be relieved that it was Raphael who robbed him. Because, he knows that he could get the gold back from Raphael, after all, it's their Family Tradition.

The Professor should also know that Raphael and Tatiana aren't robbing him for the gold itself. They don't need the wealth, it is carrying out Berlin's plan that made them rob him. And since Berlin had told Tatiana all the plan, then Tatiana would know that it's the people inside the bank that're impossible to get out. And returning the gold would be a viable option, but unlike the Professor, Berlin would not return the gold. Which means, if the Professor had focus on giving Tamayo the fake gold, and getting his people out, it would be even easier to convince Rafael and Tatiana to give him the real gold back, as they don't need to return it. Unless, Rapahel and Tatiana has the fake gold, which they need.

    1. Some miscellaneous details.

    a. If Raphael took the real gold from his uncle, why doesn't the Professor just leave his share with him, but instead took away all 90 tons, and leave him with only a promise. Which could again be explained if Raphael has the fake gold, and the Professor actually needs all 90 tons of it. (~40 tons to be exact, brass is only around 43% the weight of gold.)

    b. At the beginning of E10, Tokyo narrates that the Professor is playing the world's biggest poker game with no cards in his hand, and Sierra has to find that card for him. The Professor's only card is the fake gold, if he has it, then he would have his card, but he doesn't, so the fake gold is missing. The real gold is not necessarily a card that the Professor could play because after almost making Tamayo's arteries burst for one too many times, there's no guarantee that Tamayo won't just shoot him on site upon confirming that all the gold are real.

Again, this is just a theory, although it makes sense (to me at least), and seems possible, there're some key questions that I cannot answer. For example, how they were able to get the brass ingots to be plated in gold.

Like, it's dark in the stormwater tank, and the grains come out in water, so Benjamin, Marseille and the people working might not be able to tell it's brass, but Tamayo had to scratch away at the outer gold to reveal the brass inside near the end, so how they got the gold onto the ingots is a direct proof that contradicts my theory.

And at the end, if my theory is true, then I feel bad for Marseille, because Alicia and Benjamin must be let in on the plan that they found the fake gold, but Marseille is still left in the dark about it.

Once again, I apologize for this post to be so long, I never expected this to be this long when I started. But I wholeheartedly thank each and every one of you that made it all the way to the end. And feel free to leave your ideas, comments and questions below. I will try to address as many of them as possible.

    Thank you.

    Song Request - Season 2, Episode 8

Anyone knows the name of the small track played from 21:48 to 22:14? It’s the song played when Berlin tells Professor that Moscow died (on the phone). I’ve searched everywhere and Shazammed it but I can’t find it. Thank you for your help?

Do you think that Berlin really loved Ariadna?

I personaly hate her and I have no idea what Berlin saw on her. Anyways, do you think that it was love or just a way to have fun? I mean, he seemed that he cared for her and save her mutiple times. I just want your opinion on that.

Did the Professor actually make apple cider?

It’s obviously his cover story, but it seems a very weird one to choose for no reason. Angel said that the Professor was probably just using store bought cider as a cover, but was this ever confirmed? Or is it possible that the Professor had a secret cider making hobby that he decided to base his cover story around? Otherwise, wouldn’t he have chosen a less random and conspicuous job? It’s been a while since I’ve watched the show, so I can’t remember if this was ever addressed
