I’m just curious to hear everyone’s opinion on if eleven will die in season 5? If so how do you think the duffers would go about it?
ok so obviously we all love this show - we wouldn't be here otherwise! but i was rewatching today and thought i'd ask: do you guys have any pet peeves/small issues with ST that really bother you? i personally can't think of any, but i'm assuming some people are a lot more particular than i am 😅
I know they released the first two at Target before season three came out, but they didn’t see very well so they stopped doing it. But since then, the show has grown a lot in popularity. They have also released DVD’s and blue rays of other popular shows since, like “Wednesday”. So I was wondering if you guys think that they’ll release the remaining seasons once the show finishes up. I would love for them too, it would be great to have all of them.
I finished watching season 4, and I still didn't understand one thing, if Vecna had taken El's powers in season 3, how does she get them back in season 4?
What’s the final song you imagine being played as the final scene happens and they take us out the show? Sorta like the Every Breath You Take from season 2, Heroes from season 3, or the remixed Stranger Things theme from season 4. Season 5 will probably be a happy ending so what’s a classic 80’s song you think would wrap the show up perfectly? Or if it’s a sad ending you can predict what you think they’d end with too. Curious to know everyone’s thoughts on this.
One thing I’ve been reflecting on is how the Hawkins police will act in light of the strong military presence after the events of 1986. The military will be operating intensely, with little or absolutely no cooperation with local authorities. I think it will be interesting to see how Chief Powell handles possible reports of strange events in the city and how this might lead to growing public pressure—especially considering what we’ve already seen happen in season four.
We know the army will establish a presence in Hawkins with the goal of >!repairing damage!< and >!controlling potential future threats.!< For this, there will be an >!operations and research base at the downtown, restricted zones, checkpoints at entrances, and a heavy presence of soldiers, although all of this won’t work perfectly at first in controlling the UD invasion!<. I like the idea of mysterious disappearances and reports of strange events throughout the city being used in season 5 to intensify the tension between the population—who still believe the blame lies with the satanic ritual—and local authorities, who will certainly be pressured for answers.
Maybe this shift in the military dynamics in the town could impact, to some extent, the total autonomy of the Hawkins police idk.
The government will likely avoid providing clear explanations of what is happening in the city, both to the public and to local authorities, offering only superficial official justifications.
Unfortunately, with no more information yet, it’s hard to theorize about the real role of the police this season. However, it’s interesting to consider how Chief Powell, who must already be overwhelmed, would deal with the lack of clarity about what’s going on, along with the possibility of new pressures from the public.
A post for those moments that don’t get talked about enough!
Mine is from 4x09. The fact that Erica stays at the hospital with Lucas while he looks after Max is just so damn sweet. She doesn’t make it known very often, but she clearly cares for her brother.
Others?
I know it references something specific, but I forgot what it is about
They didn't even hesitate 😭😭
Trust me, it's very difficult to act in such scenes, and only a few can pull it off perfectly
Okay hear me out guys I have a theory on how the show can end and I want to see everybody’s opinion. So we all know at the end of the season 4, Vecna is still somehow alive in the upside down. Since the government is involved, what if for the series finale, they shoot a nuclear warhead into the upside down at the vecna house, and then 11 seals the gate? I think that would be a plausible way the series end. Do you guys agree or disagree?
How tf does the demongorgons bring people to the upside down in a matter of a frame, cuz i’m re-watching stranger things and i just noticed that in first season on the episode that barb dies, a demongorgan brings her into the upside down in like a few seconds, anyone knows?
I LOVED their dynamic so much
(MILD SPOILERS FOR S4 in 2ND PARA)(PS English isn’t my first language)
From what I’ve seen I feel like Sadie’s performance in the mind lair wasn’t talked about enough, and definitely was moved on from way too fast.
It was such a beautiful scene and very metaphorical to pulling one‘s self from their dark place, her acting was truly insane. And the way you could vicariously feel her emotions and struggles as a teenager, and despite it all she pushed through to come out of it, and of course with that impeccable choice of song jfc truly one of the best tv scenes.
And don’t even get me starting on Millie being fucking ELEVEN YEARS OLD, and not only her being able to understand the depth and complexity of her character at that young but to actually act it out? With so many actors I feel like despite their good acting, you can tell that they’re acting, very few performances actually make you forget the actor behind a character. It’s astounding to me how she was able to pull off such an intricate character at that young age, she’s truly one of the best to happen to cinema. I hope she continues to get/accept roles that challenge her skillset (was really disappointed with that dragon movie which couldn’t even bother to hide their attempt at selling her as a stereotypical aesthetic character but I get why she went with it anyway lol).
Me and my wife did this I think ELEVEN or so times. Every time we went to the S1E1 and heard the siren go “Weo weo” I sang it out loud in sync. Not doing it anymore cause that was too much already probably 5 times ago. But it was her comfortable watch before bed.
i was cleaning out my old room and stumbled upon this, it was from my cousin who helped film while he still worked for netflix. kinda cool just wanted too see if anyone had one aswell? i couldn’t find anything online about them.
Or was it all just vecna
Bruh hilarious 😭😭. Gonna watch whole series in Hindi now.
So I have had this theory for a long time now and I was willing to share it.
I believe that the Duffers were willing to make the relationship between Eddie and Vecna a reference to the british heavy metal band Iron Maiden's album cover "The Number of the Beast".
If you're not familiar with it, it depicts the band's mascot (which is literally named "Eddie") puppetting the devil, puppetting a puppet of said mascot.
Now, oddly, doesn't it ring a bell ?
I feel like in the series, Eddie is puppetting Vecna on the rpg table, and then in turn, Vecna uses Eddie as a puppet/scapegoat to commit his crimes. Also, Vecna lifts people up as puppets to murder them.
Here are some other similarities I could find between ST and this album cover :
- ST Eddie and Vecna somehow look alike IM Eddie and Devil
- The background of the cover call up to the shadow plane, gloomy abandoned land with lightning strikes and bats...
- ST Eddie is an alleged fan of Iron Maiden, you can see him screaming it is music in a short scene.
- ST Eddie is called a "satanist" by Jason and Hawkins mob, as if he was playing with the devil.
- "Freak 1" Grant is literally wearing a t-shirt with this album cover when Jason comes in their garage to find Eddie.
So, if this is legit, and the Duffers actually wanted to make a reference to this album cover, the question that comes next to my mind is : what's up next in s5 ?
Some of you may already know that in DND lore, Vecna happens to have undead servants and one of them, Kas, eventually betrays him. What if in S5, just like in DnD, good guy Eddie comes back from the dead, as an evil undead supporter of Vecna, and ultimately betrays him ? What if in S5, just as in this album cover, undead Eddie ends up puppetting the red evil creature as a Dungeon Master and then ultimately defeats it ?
Because ST Vecna alreadey HAS undead servants : he uses the memories of dead people to make them act again, as puppets, to torment his victims. Chrissy's mom, Fred's father, Billy... What if in S5 we see someone like, maybe Dustin, having a vision of undead Eddie, and then boom ! cool plot twist : vision undead Eddie turns against Vecna just as Kas did in DnD ??
What do you think ? Is Eddie Munson Eddie the head ? Is Eddie Munson Kas the betrayer ? Is he both ? Why is there a pendulum ringing in my room ? You guys tell me !
Edit : typo and clarifications on my guesses for S5.
Edit 2 : More guesses came to my mind about maybe a vision of undead Eddie betraying Vecna as Kas.
I really hope we see what vecna showed Nancy. It sounded creepy asf. She said there were so many monsters which sounds like we were gonna see new ones. And I'm dying to look at the huge monster with a gaping mouth
