My wife wants to book a stay at this resort for her bday weekend. Just us 2. What are some things for us to do here? We are not into any sports, just looking to see what else they have to offer other than skiing, snowboarding etc.
Does anyone have experience or knowledge of how the age verification works?
My child turns 7 in early December. The current projected opening date is 12/26.
Website says age verification is required at season pass pick up.
What if at the time of the purchase the child is 6 but becomes 7 before the pick up?
Thank you in advance!
My daily pass is for tomorrow, however do you think they will let me go today instead because it is supposed to be bad weather tomorrow?
Since then they removed webcams so they can lie about their conditions. I started flying out West instead of driving 1 hour into the unknown. Miss terrain park for sure.
Want to snow board but not sure there’s snow ?❄️
Anyone been there on the last couple of days? I know they closed almost all trails yesterday as per their IG account, and today the trail count had lowered to 29 with only 11 features. Planning on going this weekend but wanted to get a better sense on the conditions
Hello Good People - Anyone have a condition update after the rain this past week?
Thinking of taking off to slosh about tomorrow
I'm deciding whether to get a day in tomorrow (3/1). The website says basically the whole mountain is open but after a full warm week and 2 straight days of rain I'm thinking the conditions are going to be pretty bad.
Anyone have an honest condition report that was actually riding today?
Aloha Reddit,
In the spirit of transparency and community, I’m reaching out to hopefully run into some good people during a transformative time in my life. Following personal setbacks and a journey to finally getting sober and sticking to it, I am anxious to embrace what might come next. I sold my long-time home, like literally yesterday, and am in need of a new place to anchor myself as I rebuild.
A bit about me: I'm a 40-year-old tech enthusiast, I don’t drink ( but am not a dick about it or fuss over people living however, and will still go out to shoot pool or see a show ), and passionate about data science, cloud technologies, and AI. I can definitely get nerdy and love me some Magic: The Gathering, but am not the type of guy you might expect to see at your local drafts.I have a background in culinary arts from NY and hold degrees in Psychology and Political Science. I’m deeply engaged in volunteer work, particularly with a secular recovery organization, and spend an unnatural amount of time studying for certifications and building my portfolio to move into a new career in Data Science., Really enjoying putting in work on some projects with data mapping and statistical models with Python and R. Not that you care, but but since I have history working directly as a reseller for Microsoft, focusing on Azure made the most sense. But I totally get down with all sorts of open source and creating unique solutions to everyday problems.
Life’s recent curveballs have me seeking a temporary living situation where I can bring my loyal English Bull Terrier companion. I bred them for 10 years, and my puppo is the male we used. I'm open to various living arrangements: a roommate setup, house-sitting, living in an RV or a converted space — I'm adaptable. In return, I can offer tech insights, culinary experiences, or just good, old-fashioned hard work – but clearly I don’t expect to not have rent. Finding a chill affordable option seems impossible these days, but I’m just open to leveraging myself to unique opportunities and learning new things all the time.
I still believe in old-school values and believe in putting positivity into the universe. Most recently I have been producing creative media and editing commercials and short videos. I enjoy creating content, and am continuously engaged in learning new things. I don’t smoke or drink, and I strive to find common ground with all types of people. I’m looking for a stable environment to regroup and plan my next steps, ideally surrounded by understanding and like-minded individuals.
I’m interested in either a work exchange or rent scenario and am eager to contribute to a household or community. If you know of an opportunity, or if you’re seeking a responsible, easygoing individual to share space with, please reach out.
I have grown to have a little faith in the power of community on Reddit and am ready for the next chapter. Let’s connect if you think we could be a good fit.
Sorry if this is a really dumb question I barely go to mt creek. Everytime I go I have to take a couple really slow trails over the lodge with all the parks. I was wondering if there was free parking near the south lodge
What is the difference between Springster and Spring passes ? I only see the description difference as 2024 vs 2024/2025 winter.
I see 9am is the opening time listed for Sundays, but I overheard an instructor mentioning 8am for something, maybe a certain group? I have a triple play pass, when can I get on the beginner mountain?
hey guys, im wondering if any of you have extra discount codes for bigsnow. Thanks!
For those who didn’t see, the spring season pass went on sale today for $279. Great price compared to pretty much any other ski resort season pass. Includes the rest of this season and all of next season. Only 1000 available so act fast!
Hi, I am planning on going to Vernon part tomorrow for a twilight pass, are the roads there clean enough to get there on a usual sedan car?
Will lines be bad on a Tuesday when none of the kids have school?
How good are the plows up there when it snows? Road conditions good or bad usually?
I'm an experienced snowboarder,, but I'm bringing my spouse for his first time. I'm not spending the $400 they charge for a two-hour private lesson, so I'm curious how their terrain-based learning works.
You just walk up and the employees there start teaching you? How does it work if it's crowded?
As I understand, it's free? He has a season pass if it matters.
I'll be heading to Mountain Creek tomorrow afternoon (around 2:30pm) to snowboard (beginner) and have never been there besides on weekends. Can I assume there will be much less people? How is the snow considering the temp is to hit 45+ degrees? I've been there once in the early evening and it was quite icy.
Im W29. Yesterday marked my second attempt at skiing (had a go last year), and it proved to be significantly more challenging. My partner, a snowboarding enthusiast, isn't well-versed in assisting me. I'm hoping someone here at Mountain Creek Resort (NJ) could offer some impromptu lessons today. I'm determined to master this skill and open to any tips, considering I fell countless times yesterday!
Anyone been there lately? Thinking of going next Sunday. Is the peak just ice? Is the snow good?
Best day at Mountain Creek I’ve seen. Snow was great, lines were short.
This week starts the beginning of a lot of ski clubs for local towns (after multiple cancellations). How are later afternoon/evening conditions? Are the conditions icy or overcrowded?
Was there 4 lifts open? Thinking of going tomorrow and trying to get an idea as to what to expect.
I was at South Peak on Sunday and believe someone stole my snowboard. I did make the mistake of leaving it for about an hour in the parking lot (we packed up to leave when it was snowing pretty hard, and in the chaos of everything I literally just left it sitting in the snow outside of my car and drove away). When I drove back an hour later to get it, it wasn’t there. I filed a lost and found report but it’s been about a week now and I haven’t heard anything so I’m going to assume it was taken.
Again, realize it was my fault for leaving it there for quite a bit but I didn’t expect someone to take it. :/ I was surprised not to see it there when I got back.
I guess this is just a warning to others to keep a close eye on their board/skis when visiting. When I went to buy a replacement, the shop told me this is the third time this season someone has come in for new equipment after theirs was stolen from Mountain Creek. Apparently, groups of folks dress up like riders and go there specifically to take unattended items.
Hoping to capitalize on MLK weekend and get in a day trip. Never been to mountain creek and not sure what to expect. Will it be worth the drive? Thank you!
Line for the Cab at 11am today!
The snow is nice and crisp, but this line is bonkers.
Gonna head to south after this run I suppose
